The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced the India A squad for their tour of England in May-June. India A will play two first-class matches against England Lions and then one intra-squad match with the senior Indian team ahead of the five-match Test series between India and England.
The team will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran and Dhruv Jurel will be the vice-captain and also one of the wicketkeepers. Big names like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Shardul Thakur have been included in the squad. Sarfaraz Khan, Harshit Rana, Nitish Reddy, and Tanush Kotian are also in the team.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will not play the first match but will join the team ahead of the second first-class game, starting 6 June. Gill and Sudharsan will be busy with Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, which will be completed on 3 June.
