Indian over-the-top sports streaming platform Fancode has reportedly decided to suspend the telecast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India. The decision from PSL 2025’s official broadcaster comes after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which at least 26 people were killed.

As per a report in the Times of India, Fancode has decided to stop the streaming of PSL in India, effective immediately from 24 April (Thursday).

Any attempt to access PSL 2025 content on the Fancode website returns a 403 Forbidden error.

Fans welcome Fancode’s decision to suspend PSL 2025 streaming

The reports of Fancode suspending PSL 2025 live streaming in India have already gone viral on social media platforms, with Indian fans welcoming the decision.

“Kudos to @FanCode for taking a stand and stopping the streaming of PSL in India. In a country where countless lives have been lost to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, this is a much-needed move. Thank you for prioritizing national sentiment over profit. #Fancode,” a fan wrote on X.

Another fan asked BCCI to also take a tough stance. “Fancode has more courage than @BCCI, which will never back down from playing against Pakistan no matter what,” he wrote on X.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to react to the development.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla has confirmed that it will continue to boycott bilateral cricket assignments against Pakistan .

“We are with the victims and we condemn it. Whatever our government will say, we will do. We don’t play with Pakistan in bilateral series because of the government stand. And we will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward. But when it comes to ICC event we play due to ICC engagement. ICC is also aware whatever is happening they will to it,” Shukla told Sports Tak.
