Today IPL match LIVE, CSK vs SRH scorecard: It’s the battle of survival in the Indian Premier (IPL) today (25 April, Friday) as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both CSK and SRH are at the bottom of the table with four points each. Both CSK and SRH have lost six games so far and have secured only two wins each. Another defeat today will put the former champions in a spot from which revival will be almost impossible.
The IPL 2025 playoffs are already out of CSK and SRH’s hands unless they win all their matches from here. Which means the loser on Friday will be almost out of the IPL 2025. Both CKS and SRH have six games left and winning all games will give them 12 points. So one of them can still reach 16 points if they win all their remaining matches. 16 points could be enough to reach the IPL 2025 playoffs but that would need some insane level of consistency.
And consistency is something both teams have struggled with this season. Especially in the batting department. The problem with CSK is their poor strike rate while SRH have a plethora of six-hitting batters, but they are consistently failing to put up challenging totals.
Eventually, it seems, the CSK vs SRH will be a battle among two poor batting units and the one that makes the least mistakes will win.
Meanwhile, CSK captain Dhoni is set to complete 400 T20s if he plays today. He will become only the fourth Indian and 34th cricketer overall to achieve this feat.
