  • Zimbabwe though did bowl well after they got Zaman. They got a few quick wickets but Babar Azam's blazing ton ensured Pakistan end up with 364. The target once again is huge ask for the hosts. Especially against a top Pakistan bowling attack. It will be interesting to see how they go about it. Will they aim to play their 50 overs out or will they go for it from the outset? Join us in the second innings to find out.
  • Another power-packed batting performance by Pakistan. Not as power-packed as the last game but they have set a HUGE target for Zimbabwe. After winning the toss and electing to bat, the openers were once again in their elements. The two added another massive stand, 168 to be precise and while the two batted, Pakistan looked on course for 400. Fakhar missed out on a ton as he fell to Roche but his partner, Imam, ensured he maintains his hundred percent conversion rate and got to his 4th century.
  • 49.6 Cannot pierce the gap once more. Outside off, Azam cuts it to the point fielder and completes the run. Pakistan end with 364/4 after their 50 overs.
  • 49.5 Length outside off, Azam cannot find the gap and hits it straight to the man at covers.
  • 49.4 Ahmed plays it with an angled bat and guides it to third man. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 49.4 Wide! Wide yorker. Tiripano misses his line and another wide from him. 21 extras so far from the home team.
  • 49.3 Goes over the top of mid off but will only get one from it.
  • 49.3 Wide. The ball is way outside the off stump, easy leave for Azam. The umpire signals a wide.
  • 49.2 FOUR! All class this from Babar. Tiripano bowls a wide yorker, Azam opens the bat face and just helps it on it's way to the third man fence.
  • 49.1 FOUR! 100 for Babar Azam! His 8th in ODI. And he gets there in just 72 balls. Cuts this length ball outside off in the gap through backward point for a boundary.
  • Donald Tiripano to bowl the last over of the innings.
  • 48.6 Babar opens the face of the bat and helps it to third man. They pick up a single. Babar moves to 96. Mpofu finishes with 10-0-67-1. 351/4
  • 48.5 FOUR! 350 up for Pakistan. They are toying with Zimbabwe. Short and wide outside off from Mpofu, Azam cuts it over backward point for yet another boundary.
  • 48.4 FOUR! Full outside off, nicely driven past the cover fielder. Two fielders in the deep couldn't stop that ball. The ball races to the boundary. The umpire signals a four.
  • 48.3 Ahmed now plays it with an angled bat and guides it to third man. One more run added to the total.
  • 48.2 Azam guides it to third man. One run added to the total.
  • 48.1 Length on the legs, Ahmed once again finds the gap on the on side to give his partner the strike.
  • 47.6 The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. One run added to the total. 19 off the over, the most in an over so far. 339/4
  • 47.5 Almost another boundary. But the ball doesn't have enough legs to touch the ropes. Short ball outside off, Azam cuts it over backward point, the fielder hares behind the ball and saves a run.
  • 47.4 FOUR! In the gap and another boundary. He moves to 83 now, can he get to his century? A low full toss on the pads, Azam flicks it to the square leg region to the fence.
  • 47.3 SIX! Beauty! Follows the boundary with a maximum. Picks up the slower ball and smokes this over the mid-wicket region for a biggie. 11 from 3 already.
  • 47.2 FOUR! And Babar does what he is supposed to do. Picks his spot and lofts the fuller ball over covers. Good start for him in the over.
  • 47.1 Sarfraz taps the ball to the off side and gives the hard hitting, Babar the strike.
  • 46.6 Pitches one up on leg, Azam uses his wrists and milks it through mid-wicket for a brace. Good over for Zimbabwe, just 4 runs and a wicket. 320/4

  • 45.5 It's been driven superbly through the covers. One run added to the total.
  • 45.4 Great save by Elton Chigumbura. Saves one for his team. Back of a length ball outside off, Azam opens the bat face and cuts it through backward point. The ball runs towards the fence but Elton hares behind it and stops the boundary.
  • 45.3 FOUR! Clears his front leg this time and lofts it to extra cover. A length ball outside off, Azam stands tall and lifts this over covers for back-to-back boundaries.
  • 45.2 FOUR! Class! Not really a short ball on middle and leg, Azam pulls this over widish mid on and gets four for it.
  • 45.1 Full on middle and off, Asif hits it to long on. They take the first one quickly and think of the second. But good work in the deep stops them to one.
  • 44.6 A low full toss on off, Azam gets it through covers. The fielder in the deep runs to his right and keeps it down to two. 9 from the over and 20 from the last two. 301/3
  • 44.5 Goes full this time and Ali connects. He though hits it straight to the fielder in the deep. A single results.
  • 44.4 Another slower bumper outside off, Asif once again misses the cut. Not wided again and Ali is not happy. However, this is good by Zimbabwe. They are keeping it away from his six hitting zone.
  • 44.3 Another short ball, Asif may have been expecting it. He goes for the upper cut but misses.
  • 44.2 SIX! It is too easy for this guy! A length ball, a poor ball to be bowling at this stage. Asif powers it over the mid-wicket fence. He is dealing in maximums here.
  • 44.1 A slower bumper, Asif watches is go through to the keeper. He expects the umpire to signal it a wide but is called one for the over. A dot.

  • 43.1 SIX! BANG! That is HUGE! Right in the slot for Asif, full and on middle, he deposits it into the long on stands for a maximum. Only his third ball and that shots just shows how confident he is.

  • 42.4 Fuller again on middle, the batsman tucks it to mid-wicket.
  • Asif Ali, the big-hitter walks out to the middle.
  • 42.3 OUT! LBW! Another one for Zimbabwe, they are fighting back well here. A brilliant yorker by Chatara on middle. Malik tries to jam it out but he seems to have missed it. The ball hits him on the pads and the players appeal. Malik though indicates to the umpire that he has hit it but the umpire does not agree. He raises his finger and Malik is not happy. • 39.4 Eases it through mid off for a run.
  • 39.3 FOUR! Azam is nimble on his feet and he picks his spot brilliantly. Flicks it over mid-wicket. There is no fielder in the deep and a boundary results. He moves into the 40s.

  • 34.6 Flatter on off, Azam punches it towards covers. The fielder there misfields and concedes another run. 228/1
  • 34.5 100 for Imam! Brilliant by him. 4 times in his career he has gone onto cross the 50-run mark and he has always converted it into a ton. He pushes it down to long on for a run. Takes his helmet off and acknowledges the applause by the crowd.

A nothing ball actually from him around the fourth stump channel and on a shorter length, Zaman transfers his weight to his back leg and looks to cut it. It is too close to play that shot and he ends up getting an edge to the keeper. The finger goes up and Zaman walks back after playing another brilliant knock. What a series he has had, finishing with 515 runs, also becoming the first batsman to score 500 runs in a 5-ODIs bilateral series. Has broken records with ease. 168/1

  • 20.5 Easy. Pakistan keeping it simple. Working the ball in the gaps and rotating the strike. Tucks this to the left of the square leg umpire for one.
  • 20.4 Wrong end! Or else Imam would have to take the long walk back. Zaman flicks this ball towards square leg and hares to complete the run. Imam wanted the second and left his crease. He was more than half way down the track and then was sent back by his partner. The throw came to the non-striker's end. The bowler then threw it to Murray but till then Imam was in. • 18.2 A confident drive through covers. One more run taken.
  • 18.1 Length outside off again, pushed towards extra cover for one. Hamilton there, should have done better to stop the run.
