  • So 223 is the target for the English batsmen. They have a strong batting lineup with a lot of power hitters and that will be tested. South Africa will fancy themselves in this chase and the onus will be on their bowlers now. Can England do the unthinkable and chase this down or will South Africa keep the T20I series trophy with them?
  • A brutal day for the English bowlers. They were taken to the cleaners from ball one. Every bowler barring Tom Curran and Ben Stokes went for more than 10 rpo. Mark Wood had a nightmare as in his 3 overs he ended up conceding 47. Tom Curran and Stokes were the pick of the bowlers, picking up two wickets each. All-in-all it was a punishing day for the English bowlers.
  • Quinton de Kock won the toss and wanted to put pressure on England by putting up runs on board. They started off with an attacking intent with Bavuma and de Kock going hammer and tongs at the top. It looked like they lost their way a bit in the middle with 3 quick wickets of de Kock, Bavuma and van der Dussen. Klaasen and Miller though had other ideas. Klaasen's quickfire 66 along with Miller's cameo towards the end ensured England couldn't make a comeback and took the side over 220!
  • What a superb batting performance from the South Africans. We have witnessed a boundary fest here in Centurion and the crowd is absolutely loving their afternoon after a brilliant batting show from the hosts.
  • 19.6 FOUR! South Africa finish the innings in style. Just like the 1st ball of the innings the last one is also a boundary. Full outside off, Miller slices it over covers and gets a boundary. SOUTH AFRICA FINISH WITH 222/6 FROM THEIR 20 OVERS!
  • 19.5 Full outside off, Miller cannot get under it and ends up hitting it towards long off. He refuses to take the single.
  • 19.4 FOUR! Good length ball outside off, Miller lofts his cut over backward point for a boundary. Boundaries flying left, right and centre here.
  • 19.3 Bouncer! Miller looks to pull but misses. A precious dot ball for Wood and England.
  • Bjorn Fortuin is the new man in.
  • 19.2 OUT! Caught! Brilliant catch from Stokes and Wood has something to cheer about. Tremendous catch from the star English all-rounder. Slower ball outside off, Phehlukwayo makes room and looks to go over covers. Stokes runs to his right in the deep and takes an outstanding catch over his head, just before the ropes.
  • 19.1 FOUR LEG BYES! Full toss down the leg side, Phehlukwayo looks to loft it on the leg side but misses. The ball hits his pad and goes fine down the leg side to the fine leg fence.
  • Mark Wood to bowl the last over of the innings. 2-0-39-0 are his figures so far.
  • 18.6 SIX! The extra ball has been punished and it spoils the over and Curran's figures. Curran dishes out a juicy full toss around the pads, Miller gets under it and lofts it over the square leg region for a biggie. 15 from the over and South Africa have reached 210 with an over to go. 210/5
  • 18.6 WIDE! Slower bouncer but it is down the leg side. Wided by the umpire.
  • 18.5 Low full toss on middle and leg, Phehlukwayo strokes it to long off for a run.
  • Andile Phehlukwayo is the new man in.
  • 18.4 OUT! Caught! Curran gets another one. He has the last laugh. Subdued celebration from the Englishman. Cross-seam delivery outside off. It is a bit short, Pretorius looks to go over on the off side but ends up getting a thick outside edge straight into the mitts of Buttler. Second wicket for Curran and without a doubt he has been the best bowler today.
  • 18.3 FOUR! Crunched away. Pretorius brings up the 200 for South Africa in style. Full and wide outside off, Pretorius crunches it through extra covers and gets a boundary.
  • 18.2 Full and slow outside off. Miller goes hard but cannot time it well. He ends up milking it to long off for a single.
  • 18.2 Wide! Slower ball but well outside the tramline. Miller lets it be and the umpire stretches his arms to signal it as wide.
  • 18.1 On the pads, Dwaine flicks it to the on side and gives the strike to Miller.
  • 17.6 Change of line works for Jordan. Full on middle and off, Miller drives it hard but straight to mid off. A very bad day in the office for Jordan, he finishes with the figures of 4-0-49-0. 195/4
  • 17.5 SIX! That has gone well into the stands and it looks like we are into Miller time now. Full on the pads, Miller lofts his flick and sends high and deep into the stands for a biggie.
  • 17.4 FOUR! Miller getting into the act now. On the pads, Miller flicks it fine down the leg side for a boundary.
  • 17.4 WIDE! Wild delivery from Jordan and it almost ends up costing a Free Hit as well. Full toss well outside off. It has almost gone outside the deck. The umpire initially signals a no ball but after a few words with Morgan and the square leg umpire. He reverses his decision to wide.
  • 17.3 Yorked wide outside off. It is inside the tramline. Miller looks to hit it on the off side but misses.
  • 17.2 Fuller on off, Pretorius strokes it to long off and gets a single.
  • 17.1 FOUR! Good start to the over for the Proteas. Full on off, Pretorius drives it through mid on, wide of long on for a boundary.
  • 16.6 End of a tremendous over from Tom Curran. Just 5 runs and the big, big wicket of Klaasen. Length ball on off, Pretorius taps it behind square on the off side and gets a single. 179/4
  • 16.5 Brilliant bowling from Curran. He bowls it on a length on middle, Pretorius defends it with a straight bat.
  • 16.4 Length ball on off, Miller pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a run.
  • Dwaine Pretorius is the next batsman in.
  • 16.3 OUT! Caught! Big wicket for England and this wicket might just be the difference between South Africa reaching 205 and 220! A superb innings from Klaasen has come to an end. He had a few questions to answer when he was named in the playing XI and he has done that excellently with the bat. Credit to Curran as well, he has been excellent with the ball in hand. Full on off, Tom takes the pace off it. Heinrich is early in his loft and he ends up lobbing it towards mid off. Stokes there moves behind a bit and takes a simple catch.
  • 16.2 Full on off, Klaasen hits it hard on the leg side towards the cow corner region. Just a couple as the fielder from long on cleans it up.
  • 16.1 Fuller on the pads, Miller flicks it towards deep mid-wicket for a single.
  • Tom Curran is back on. 2-0-13-0 are his figures so far.
  • 15.6 Full and straight on off, Klaasen hits it straight to mid off. 45 off the last three overs. 4 overs remaining and South Africa will be looking for at least 220 from here on. 174/3
  • 15.5 Short ball down the leg side. Miller pulls it fine down the leg side but there is a man at fine leg so just one.
  • 15.4 Low full toss outside off, Klaasen this time cannot get under it and squeezes it traditionally towards sweeper cover for a run.
  • 15.3 FOUR! What a shot! This is just too good from the local boy. Full and wide outside off, Klaasen squeezes it over backward point for a boundary. A very weird kind of helicopter one can say.
  • 15.3 WIDE! Good length ball outside off, it is on the wrong side of the tramline. Klaasen leaves it alone and a little bit of exercise for the umpire.
  • 15.2 Full delivery again on off, Miller drives it through covers for a single.
  • 15.1 Full delivery on middle, Miller drives it through mid on. The batsmen pick up a couple.
  • Chris Jordan is back on. 2-0-23-0 are his figures so far.
  • 14.6 FOUR! Superb over for South Africa. A nightmare one for Wood. 23 from the over. The last ball is on a length outside off, it would have been wided as well had Klaasen let that go but he goes after it. It comes off the upper half of his bat and goes wide of short third man for a boundary. 50-run stand comes up with this and out of it only 4 have been scored by Miller. 164/3
  • 14.6 WIDE! Wood is struggling here. He is unable to execute his plans right here. Once again he goes full and well wide outside off, Klaasen looks to run it down but misses.
  • 14.5 FOUR! Klaasen is timing everything well here. Fuller on off, Heinrich lofts it over mid off for a boundary.
  • 14.5 WIDE! Once again Wood goes too wide outside off and it has been wided.
  • 14.4 On the pads, Miller looks to flick but the ball kisses something of his bat and goes towards square leg. Buttler appeals but no one else follows and it has been signalled as a run as well.
  • 14.3 Length ball on off, Klaasen pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a run.
  • 14.3 WIDE! Yorker but on the wrong side of the tramline and it has been wided.
  • 14.2 SIX! FIFTY FOR KLAASEN! He gets there in style and what a knock this has been. He has made a comeback in the playing XI in a brilliant fashion. Slower ball on a length, Klaasen picks it early and pulls it over mid-wicket for a biggie. He raises his bat and the fans in the stadium applaud. Brings up the 150 as well for South Africa. They were under some pressure after the loss of Bavuma and de Kock but Heinrich has made a strong comeback.
  • 14.1 FOUR! Another poor start for Wood. Length ball on off, Klaasen punches it through covers for a boundary.
  • Mark Wood is back on. 1-0-16-0 are his figures so far.
  • 13.6 On off, Klaasen pulls it towards mid-wicket for a run. 12 off the over. 141/3
  • 13.5 A better throw or had Stokes hit a direct hit after collecting it then Miller would have been in trouble. Good length ball on middle, Klaasen tucks it to the right of long on and calls for two straightaway. Malan gets to the ball and sends the throw to the right of Stokes at the bowler's end. He manages to collect the ball and then has a shy at the stumps but misses.
  • 13.4 Very good slower ball and that has just missed the off pole by a whisker. It is on a length, Klaasen looks to drive but misses as the ball goes right between the gate of his bat and pad. It bounces a bit too much and hence misses the stump.
  • 13.3 Fuller on middle and leg, Miller glances it to the leg side for a run. Miller is happy to play second fiddle here.
  • 13.2 Smartly follows the six with a single towards mid-wicket.
  • 13.1 SIX! Klaasen getting things going here. He was waiting for a short one and he has got just that. Length ball on off, Heinrich pulls it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie. 10th six of the innings already.
  • 13.1 WIDE! Bouncer but down the leg side. It is bowled at 144 kph. Klaasen looks to pull but misses. Stokes is baffled by the decision but that is a good call by the umpire.
  • 12.6 Flatter on off, HK taps it to the off side and takes a single. 129/3
  • 12.5 Follows the biggie with a brace off his flick towards mid-wicket.
  • 12.4 SIX! Klaasen getting into his own now. Tossed up on off, Klaasen gets down on one knee and slog sweeps it well over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum.
  • 12.3 Good running, this pair is quick between the wickets. Floated on off, Klaasen drives it wide of sweeper cover and gets a couple.
  • 12.2 On the pads, Klaasen glances it to the leg side for a run.
  • 12.1 Leg spinner on off, Klaasen nudges it towards cover for a single.
  • 11.6 Length ball on off, Klaasen strokes it towards long on and keeps the strike. Excellent over from Stokes, just 4 and a wicket of this one. 116/3
  • 11.5 Outside off on a length, Miller punches it towards mid off for a single.
  • 11.4 Length ball on middle, Miller blocks it.
  • 11.3 On off, Heinrich pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a run.
  • David Miller is the new batsman in.
  • 11.2 OUT! Caught! Rassie holes out. Stokes bangs it short and the ball comes quicker. Van der Dussen looks to pull but mistimes it and ends up hitting it to the man at deep mid-wicket. Tom Curran stationed there comes in front and takes a simple catch. England have done really well to put the brakes on South African scoring by taking wickets here. All three top order batsmen are back in the hut for South Africa and the crowd have gone a lot more silent here.
  • 11.1 Good length ball on off, Klaasen pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a single. The fielder in the deep dives to his right and saves a certain boundary.

  • 10.2 WIDE! Flighted delivery wide outside off, van der Dussen looks to go after it but misses it.
  • 10.1 Tossed up delivery on off, Klaasen drives it through wide mid off for a single.
  • 9.6 Slower one on middle, Rassie flicks it towards mid-wicket and gets a single. 100 up for South Africa. They are 100/2 at the halfway through the innings. 100/2

  • 9.4 On the pads, Klaasen glances it to the on side for a run.
  • 9.3 Length ball on top of middle and off, Klaasen looks to pull but it takes the inside edge and goes towards third man off his pad for a couple.
  • 9.2 Good length ball on middle and off, Rassie tucks it to the leg side of the pitch and takes a quick single. Stokes gets to the ball and has a shy at the bowler's end but he misses.
  • 9.1 FOUR! Poor ball from Stokes. He bowls it full down the leg side, van der Dussen flicks it fine down the leg side for a boundary.
  • 8.6 On the pads, Rassie glances it to the leg side and gets a single to get through the over. Excellent over and comeback from Rashid. Just 4 runs but more importantly the big wicket of Bavuma. 90/2
  • 8.5 Tossed up on middle, Klaasen chips it over the bowler and gets a single.
  • 8.4 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot.
  • 8.3 On the pads, van der Dussen glances it to the leg side for a run.
  • 8.2 Loopy ball outside off, Klaasen plays it on the off side for a single.
  • Heinrich Klaasen is the next batsman in.
  • 8.1 OUT! Bowled! Bavuma misses out on his debut fifty by just a run. As they say, one brings two and this is what has happened here. Bavuma follows his skipper and opening partner de Kock in the hut. Excellent comeback from England. It is a slider from Rashid. It is also bowled very quickly. Bavuma looks to drive it on the on side but gets beaten for the pace and the ball goes right between his bat and pad onto the stumps.
  • 7.6 On the pads, Bavuma flicks it towards square leg and gets a single. He clashes with Rassie but it's all cool in the end. 86/1
  • 7.5 Rassie is off the mark. Length ball on off, van der Dussen drives it through covers for a single.
  • Rassie van der Dussen is the new man in.
  • 7.4 OUT! Caught! De Kock holes out! The slower one does the trick for the tourists and it is Ben Stokes who has got the prized scalp of the South African skipper. Stokes bowls an off-pace delivery on off, de Kock gets down on one knee and looks to loft it over mid-wicket. The ball though comes slower than he anticipated and he ends up hitting it straight to the man at deep mid-wicket. Bairstow takes a simple catch and England have the wicket they were desperately craving for.

  • 6.4 On the pads, QdK flicks it to the on side and rotates the strike.
  • 6.3 Floated on middle and off, Bavuma defends it with soft hands to the off side and gets a single.
  • 6.2 FOUR! Short, wide and punished again. 10 off the first two balls now. Rashid goes short outside off, Bavuma cuts it through point. The fielder in the deep dives but comes second best.
  • 6.1 SIX! Bang! The sound of the bat and the reaction of the bowler tells you everything. This is out of here. Welcome to the crease Rashid. He floats the first delivery on off, Bavuma gets down on one knee and slog sweeps it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie. Crack came the sound while Rashid did not even bother looking to his right, to check where the ball had gone.
  • Adil Rashid to bowl now.
  • 5.6 Superb over from Jordan. Just 4 off the final over of the Powerplay. Slow ball on middle, Bavuma pulls it off the inner half of his bat and it goes behind square on the leg side for a single. South Africa's Powerplay as they have managed to score 64/0 in it. 64/0

  • 4.6 Good shot but there is protection in the deep. Length delivery on off and middle, de Kock pulls it hard but there is a man in the deep who gets it on a bounce. Just a single. Good over from Curran considering how hard the hosts are going at the moment. 60/0

  • 4.4 Very full and outside off, de Kock drives it to the right of cover. Bairstow there dives and saves runs for his side.
  • 4.3 FOUR! Sensible batting from de Kock. He sees that the man at mid off is up so he just lofts this fuller ball over him and fetches himself another boundary.
  • 4.2 Smart bowling from Tom. He takes the pace off this one and bowls it on a length. Bavuma pulls it but with no timing towards mid-wicket and manages to get a single.
  • 4.1 Good fielding from Malan. Good length ball on off, Bavuma plays a cracking drive through point. Malan at sweeper cover runs to his left and manages to save it before the ropes with a dive. Saves two for his side.
  • Tom Curran is back on. 1-0-5-0 are his figures so far.
  • 3.6 Good ball to end the over. Very full, almost a yorker from Jordan. It is on middle and leg. De Kock manages to flick it on the leg side. 52/0
  • 3.5 Another good shot but this one is along the crowd and straight to the fielder. Full around off, de Kock drives it hard but straight to cover.
  • 3.4 SIX! Make that three in a row. De Kock is going hammer and tongs after Jordan. Jordan overcorrects his line and goes full on off and middle. De Kock shows lovely wrist work and lofts it over the mid-wicket fence for another six. 50 already up for South Africa.
  • 3.3 SIX! It is raining sixes here in Centurion. Back-to-back sixes for de Kock and Jordan is under the pump here. Jordan goes a bit short and this time de Kock pulls it over the fine leg fence for another crowd catching biggie.
  • 3.2 SIX! Third six already and we are just into the 4th over. This one is another brilliant shot from the South African skipper. Good length ball on off, de Kock pulls it over mid-wicket and sends the ball into the crowd where a fan takes a very god catch.

  • 2.5 SIX! This is fabulous from Bavuma. It was six the moment it left the bat. First one for Bavuma and this shot shows how good a form this man is in.

  • 2.1 SIX! De Kock has demolished that! Not the welcome Wood would have been looking for. Full around off, de Kock crisply lofts it over long off for a biggie. First maximum of the day. De Kock stands and admires his own shot.
  • Mark Wood is into the attack.
  • 1.6 FOUR! What a shot! Bavuma ends the over in style. Slightly overpitched around off, Bavuma drives it powerfully through covers for a boundary. 17/0
  • 1.5 Back of a length on off, Bavuma taps it towards backward point and looks for a run but de Kock says no straightaway.
  • 1.4 Good stop from Buttler. On the pads again. De Kock once again misses his flick and the ball goes to the right of Buttler. He dives and keeps it down to a run. Leg Bye signaled.
  • 1.3 On the leg side, de Kock looks to flick but misses. The ball brushes his pads on its way to the keeper.

  • England skipper, Eoin Morgan says it looks like a good wicket and would have looked to bowl first anyway. Hopes they can get used to a wicket which looks like one they are not used to. Morgan informs Denly is ill and he is replaced by Dawid Malan in the playing XI. Tells Dawid has a chance once again after impressing in international cricket. Tells they have learnt a lot in the series and hopes to produce something that is worth winning. Hopes that they have done well to adapt to the condition.
  • South African skipper, Quinton de Kock says that the decision is because they want to put England under pressure with runs on the board. Hopes that once again the team batting first wins. On his team changes, De Kock informs that Steyn and Klaasen come in for Beuran Hendricks and JJ Smuts. Tells they are just looking to win the pressure moments and win the game.

South Africa Vs England Live Score (T20) Ball by Ball Commentary

  • So that is it from this series. England end their South African tour without losing a single trophy. They won the Test series, drew the ODIs and now go back with a T20I series victory as well. It has been a fantastic series. South Africa will feel hard done by as they have nothing to show for their outstanding performance. The Proteas will now welcome Australia T20Is and ODIs. The T20I series between South Africa and Australia begins on Friday, 21 February. The first T20I will begin at 1800 local (1600 GMT). England now travel to Sri Lanka for a two Test match series, starting from 19th March. Join us for those series. Till then, goodbye!
  • For his magnificent performance, the English skipper, Eoin Morgan is the Man of the Match. He is also the Man of the Series. Morgan commends both the sides. Tells his guys found it tough to bowl as de Kock and Bavuma took the game to them. Reminds that it was a similar team that chased down 230 against South Africa in Mumbai in the 2016 World Cup so they always believed. Tells any contribution in a winning cause is always a good thing. Says they have enjoyed every bit of the tour and tells everyone have been fantastic to them.
  • South African skipper, Quinton de Kock says that they knew it was going to be a good, high scoring game but he is disappointed not to win the game. Says there were mixed emotions and says the guys tried hard but in the end it was unfortunate. On Temba, de Kock says he has not seen him yet and hence he is unsure. Tells there is no point in crying over spilled milk and he is just calm and relaxed about it. De Kock says they are looking to give a couple of boys some opportunity before they get clear about their ideas.
  • Earlier in the day, South Africa won the toss and surprised a lot of people by batting first. The batters though backed the skipper's decision and managed to put on a big score of 222 from their 20 overs. Heinrich Klaasen's 66 along with cameos from Miller, Bavuma and de Kock helped the hosts get to the total. Tom Curran's brilliant bowling saved 10-15 runs for his side and in the end that proved to be the difference.
  • It was a forgetful day for the bowlers and just like English bowlers, South African bowlers too had to face the wrath of the small boundaries and batting friendly track. All the bowlers used by Quinton de Kock went for more than 10 rpo. Ngidi got two wickets but was taken to the cleaners, giving away 55 from his 4. Pretorius, Shamsi and Phehlukwayo all got one wicket apiece but it was just not enough and the Proteas failed to defend 222.
  • Chasing 223, England got off to a disastrous start losing Roy early. Buttler and Bairstow though steadied the chase with a solid partnership of 91, with Buttler getting to his fifty. He though soon departed. Bairstow then continued his work with Malan. The former departed with 83 still needed. Malan followed him soon and it looked like South Africa had a sniff but skipper, Eoin Morgan along with Stokes ensured there was nothing like that and the pair ensured that they reach the finishing line. Stokes could not see them over the line but Morgan this time ensured he stayed there right till the end and saw his side home, unlike the first T20I.
  • What a match! England have done the unthinkable and comfortably chased down a massive target of 223 and won the series. Handshakes all around but heartbreak for the South African fans. Over 440 runs have been scored and in the end, it is the side batting second who have won the first game in this series and are going home with the trophy.
  • 19.1 FOUR! There come the winning runs! Length delivery on off, Ali lofts it over mid off for a boundary. ENGLAND WIN BY 5 WICKETS AND TAKE THE SERIES 2-1!
  • 18.6 IN THE AIR...AND SAFE! Short ball on the body, Morgan goes for the pull but mistimes it and it goes away from fine leg. Dwaine Pretorius runs behind it and slides but this time cannot get there. Two taken and the scores are level now. 222/5
  • 18.5 SIX! FIFTY FOR EOIN MORGAN! What a knock this has been from the English skipper. He has led from the front and has almost taken them to the finish line here. This should be the game for England. Just 3 needed now. Full on the pads, Morgan lofts his flick over square leg for a biggie.
  • 18.4 SIX! Morgan releases some pressure with this shot. Short ball on off, Morgan pulls it over deep mid-wicket. The fielder there jumps but does not get anything on it.
  • 18.3 IN THE AIR AND DROPPED! Pretorius is the culprit. A tough chance but he should have taken it. Bouncer around the body, Moeen looks to pull but mistimes it and it goes high in the air. Pretorius comes running in and gets there. He slides and gets both his hands to it. Unfortunately he cannot hold onto it. Single taken.
  • 18.2 Length ball on middle, Morgan drives it to long on for a single.
  • Moeen Ali is the new man in.

  • 17.3 SIX! 50-run stand comes up in style. Slower bouncer outside off, Stokes picks it early and smashes his pull over mid-wicket for a biggie.
  • 17.2 Full and wide outside off, Morgan looks to go over long off but it comes off the lower half of his bat and luckily for him it does not carry to the man at long off. Single taken.

  • Andile Phehlukwayo is back on. 2-0-14-1 are his figures so far.
  • 16.6 FOUR! Unbelievable from Stokes! Not a bad ball but Stokes is just too good! Very low full toss on middle and leg. Ben initially looks to scoop but then he sees the length of the ball and corrects his shot. He reverse paddles it over short third man for a boundary. 190/4
  • 16.5 On the pads and full, Morgan glances it to the leg side for a single.
  • 16.4 SIX! Morgan is dealing in sixes here. On the pads, Morgan pulls it over the backward square leg fence for a biggie. Very bad ball from Ngidi.
  • 16.3 Direct hit and it would have been close. On the pads, Morgan flicks it wide of deep mid-wicket and runs the first one hard. He calls for two and gets it. Bjorn Fortuin quickly gets to the ball and sends a very good flat throw from the deep towards the keeper's end which just about misses the stumps.
  • 16.2 SIX! The fielder at long on was interested but this goes over him. Full on middle and leg, Morgan lofts it high and over long on for a biggie.
  • 16.1 Full on off and middle, Stokes strokes it to long on for a single.
  • Lungi Ngidi is back on. 2-0-19-0 are his figures so far.
  • 15.6 SIX! Much needed for England and the one Steyn would have wanted to avoid. He bowled a superb over before this but the six has spoiled it. Steyn is furious with himself. Slower ball on off, Morgan picks it up and smacks it over long off for a biggie. 53 needed off 24. 170/4
  • 15.5 Short ball close to the body, Stokes cannot free his arm but he manages to pull it to deep mid-wicket for a single.
  • 15.4 Brilliant slower ball. He completely deceives Stokes with this off-pace delivery. Full toss outside off, Ben fails to get bat on ball and he just smiles at Steyn who returns the favour.

  • 15.2 Outside off, Morgan throws his bat but misses.
  • 15.1 Good length ball on middle and leg, Stokes punches it towards long on for a single.
  • Dale Steyn is back on.
  • 14.6 Fuller on middle, Stokes comes down the track and milks it to long on for a single. 62 needed off the last 5. 161/4
  • 14.5 On the leg side, Stokes looks to flick but misses. Not wided so maybe it kissed something.
  • 14.4 Length ball outside off, Morgan who shuffles again is cramped for room and punches it to long off for a run.
  • 14.3 SIX! What courage from the English skipper! He comes across the stumps, Pretorius sees it and bowls it on the leg pole. Morgan still manages to flick it over the backward square leg region for a biggie.
  • 14.2 Outside off on a length, Morgan looks to chop it on the off side but misses.
  • 14.1 SIX! England need a few more of these. Full on off, Morgan heaves it over mid-wicket. Bavuma in the deep is a spectator and just watches it sail over.
  • Dwaine Pretorius is back on.
  • 13.6 On the pads, Morgan flicks it towards mid-wicket for a single. 147/4
  • 13.5 Flatter on off, Stokes plays it to point and gets off the mark.
  • Ben stokes is the new man in.
  • 13.4 OUT! Caught behind! Brilliant catch from de Kock. Shamsi has made a champion comeback here. He has been very expensive before this but he is pulling things back and now has a wicket as well. Short and turning away once again, Malan does not give up on the cut and goes for it again. The ball does not bounce and it takes the under edge of Dawid's willow. Quinton de Kock behind the stumps does extremely well to take the catch. South Africa slowly getting on top of this game here. 78 more needed.
  • 13.3 Play and miss! Pressure building on Malan now. Short and turning away, Malan looks to cut but misses.
  • 13.3 WIDE! Too wide outside off, Malan looks to cut but misses. Wided by the umpire.
  • 13.2 Short outside off, Malan looks to cut but gets a bottom edge which stays on the ground and hits de Kock's pad.
  • 13.1 Punched off the back foot by the batsman. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 12.6 In the air...but safe! Short ball around the body. Morgan looks to pull but ends up getting a top edge. Pretorius comes running in from deep mid-wicket and tries to take a catch with a slide. The ball falls ahead of him and he does well to stop the ball. 143/3

  • 12.4 On the pads, Morgan glances it to the leg side for a single.
  • Eoin Morgan is the new man in.
  • 12.3 OUT! Bowled! The bowling change does the trick and Bairstow's wonderful innings comes to an end. Could this be the game changing wicket? Off-pace delivery on a length on middle. It is on top of middle, Bairstow looks to pull but misses it completely and the ball hits the stumps. Phehlukwayo is up in joy and so are all the South African supporters. A very good hand from Jonny comes to an end.
  • 12.2 Fuller on off, Malan milks it to long off for a single.

  • Andile Phehlukwayo is back on. 1-0-9-0 are his figures so far.
  • 11.6 DROPPED! Bavuma is a very good fielder but he has put down a sitter here. Fuller outside off, Malan drives it hard and flat right off the meat of his bat but straight towards short cover. Bavuma there gets both his hands to it but the ball bursts through his hands and goes away. He chases it and pulls it before the ropes. The batsmen take a single but more importantly Malan survives. How costly will this prove to be? 138/2

  • 9.4 Length ball on off, Bairstow strokes it wide of cover and gets a single.
  • Dawid Malan is the next batsman in.
  • 9.3 OUT! Caught! Big wicket for South Africa as Buttler was going very good. Pretorius is a happy man. Buttler's innovation does not work this time and the 91-run stand is broken. Fuller outside off, Buttler looks to scoop it over the keeper's head but the ball bounces a little extra and he ends up playing it high in the air. Tabraiz Shamsi comes running from third man and takes his second catch of the game. This could be the wicket that brings down the run rate. The crowd has found its voice once again.
