  • It looks like a good wicket to bat on and all those wickets going down were due to the poor shot selection and execution. The target of 161 is not too challenging but the pressure of do-or-die makes you do funny things. Let's see how Rajasthan respond...
  • Jaydev Unadkat laughs and says pushing the keeper and taking the catch was a good moment. He knew the wicket would get slow later in the innings and they just stuck to their plans. He feels they assessed the wicket well having played a lot of games here. Admits they did not start well but then they turned up the game quickly. Admits that Smith was not happy at the start but was happy with the way they ended.
  • Rajasthan were under pressure when the 75-run partnership was going. But then we witnessed a ripper of a catch from Steven Smith which turned things around for the home team. At the back end of the innings, the pink team picked up 5 wickets in the last five overs and never allowed Hyderabad off the hook. It was a complete team performance from the hosts with all the regular bowlers picking up two wickets each. Apart from doing well with the ball, Jaydev Unadkat was very active in the field as well and he is now giving an interview...
  • Exceptional bowling from Rajasthan in the second half to restrict Hyderabad to a par score. Although they didn't finish well as Varun Aaron conceded 18 runs in the final over. The touring team were going at a decent rate when the pair of Warner and Pandey were batting but then suddenly lost the plot. The Aussie played a very uncharacteristic knock which didn't feature a single boundary but Manish Pandey was in sublime touch as he stroked yet another half century.
  • 19.6 SIX! Rashid Khan finishes the innings with a biggie, first of the match! Aaron dishes out a slower one, it's on the shorter side outside off, Rashid picks it early and smashes it over mid off. It falls flush on the rope and the onfield umpire signals for it after consulting the third umpire. Hyderabad end on 160/8!
  • 19.5 FOUR! Full in length around off, Khan goes deep inside the crease and drills it through square leg for a powerful boundary.
  • 19.4 Slower one, on a length on middle, Khan advances down the track to heave it over the leg side but it takes the inside edge and the ball goes to fine leg. Two taken, 150 comes up for Hyderabad!
  • 19.4 Wide! Drifting down the leg side, Khan swings his bat at it but fails to make any connection.
  • Siddarth Kaul is the new batsman in.
  • 19.3 OUT! Unadkat with yet another catch in the field, his third to be precise. A slower length ball sliding down the leg side, Kumar tries to flick it off his pads but is early into his shot. It takes the top edge and flies behind square leg. Samson and Unadkat go for it, the latter from short fine leg calls for it and then takes the catch with a tumble.
  • 19.2 Four byes! Valuable runs for Hyderabad! Aaron digs in a short ball on middle and leg, Kumar gets inside the bounce and tries to play the ramp shot but misses. Samson dives across to his left to stop the ball but it goes underneath his hands and races away to the fence.
  • 19.1 Starts with a slower delivery, angling in from around off, Rashid swivels for a big shot on the leg side but fails to middle his shot. It takes the leading edge and rolls down to long on for a run. Khan wants the second also but is sent back.
  • Varun Aaron is back into the attack.
  • 18.6 Back of a length ball on off at 113.4 kph, Khan hangs on the back foot and plays it down towards point for one. 142/7
  • 18.5 On a length around off, Bhuvneshwar taps it down to covers and takes a run.
  • 18.4 Beaten! A quicker one, outside off, Kumar pushes inside the line and misses.
  • 18.3 Slower short ball on off, Rashid drags his pull down to deep mid-wicket for a run.
  • 18.2 Works it off his pads through square leg for a couple of runs.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the new batsman in.
  • 18.1 OUT! Unadkat strikes again. His slower delivery has consumed Shakib. The length is a bit on the shorter side around off, the Bangla star tries to pump it over wide long on but fails to connect well. Gopal moves across to his left from long on and makes no mistake this time. He throws the ball out in anguish after that. With this wicket, the chances of Hyderabad going past 150 look dicey.
  • 17.6 Bouncer! The batsman ducks in time to let that one go over him. Another tidy over. All the last four overs have fetched a wicket each. 137/6
  • Rashid Khan is the new batsman in.
  • 17.5 OUT! Saha is dismissed this time. Thomas fires in a short ball on middle at 144 kph, Saha winds up for a big pull shot across the line on the leg side but it takes the outside edge and Samson makes no mistake behind the stumps. That was too quick for Saha.
  • 17.4 Dropped by Gopal! Thomas digs in a short ball on middle, Saha tries helping it on the leg side but gets a top edge. Gopal at fine leg drops a sitter and the batsmen take a couple of runs.
  • 17.3 Played to the point region by the batsman. They pick up a single.
  • 17.3 Wide! Sliding down the leg side, Shakib tries to hit it across the line but misses.
  • 17.2 A well-directed short ball, Saha leans back and initially tries to let it go. He takes his eyes off as well and the ball takes his bat before going in the gap on the off side. A single taken.
  • 17.1 Slower one, on a length around middle, Shakib turns inside the crease and helps it down to fine leg for one.
  • Oshane Thomas is back into the attack.
  • 16.6 Walks down the track to a length ball and lofts it over covers for a run. Fantastic going from Rajasthan, they have managed to pick four wickets in the last 5 overs and that has resulted in only 28 runs. Best way to contain runs is by picking wickets. Hence proved. 131/5
  • 16.5 The line is straight and Saha turns it off his pads to deep square leg for a run.
  • 16.4 Helps it off his pads to the leg side for a run.
  • 16.3 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. One run added to the total.
  • Wriddhiman Saha is the new batsman in.
  • 16.2 OUT! Hooda is caught and bowled superbly! Unadkat switches to 'round the wicket for the right-hander and strikes. He delivers a full ball around off, Hooda attempts for the flick shot but it stops onto him and he fails to close the face of his bat. The ball loops back to the bowler off the face of the blade and Unadkat times his jump to perfection to pluck it with his left hand.
  • 16.1 Good attempt from Aaron but he fails to hold on to the catch. Slower delivery, around off, Shakib shuffles across the stumps to get inside the line and then tries to play the paddle scoop. He fails to time it well and it flies towards short fine leg. Aaron puts in a dive to his left, catches the ball as well but when he lands the ball pops out of his hands. A single is taken.
  • Jaydev Unadkat is back into the attack.
  • 15.6 Shakib drives this through the covers. One run added to the total. 5 runs and a wicket from the over, a brilliant one by Aaron. 126/4
  • Deepak Hooda is the new batsman in.
  • 15.5 OUT! Another one bites the dust and Hyderabad are losing the plot here. Aaron runs his fingers over the seam of the ball and lets out a slower short ball around off, Shankar stays back to pull it across the line but fails to time it well. He ends up miscuing it in the air and Unadkat charges forward from deep mid-wicket to grab a tumbling catch. A good passage of play for the pink team.
  • 15.4 Shortish and around leg, Shakib jumps back to make room and punches it to sweeper cover for a run. Shankar wants the second run but is sent back. The throw from the deep is at the bowler's end and it gives Vijay the time to return.
  • 15.3 Fuller in length on middle, flicked over mid-wicket for a couple of runs.
  • 15.2 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. No run.
  • 15.1 DROPPED BY SAMSON! But what a spectacular attempt by the young man. Back of a length delivery outside off, Shankar stays back to play at it with a straight bat but gets a big fat outside edge behind. It goes behind and Samson puts in a full length dive to his right. He fails to collect it and the ball gets deflected to third man. The batsmen cross.
  • Strategic break! Rajasthan are pulling things back nicely here. At one stage it looked like Hyderabad will get to 190 but the loss of Warner followed by the wicket of a well-set Manish Pandey just before the break has put Hyderabad on the back foot. The hosts will now look to make the most of it. Shakib Al Hasan is the new man in.
  • 14.6 OUT! Brilliance from Sanju Samson! The crowd erupts, this is a timely breakthrough for Rajasthan as they have removed the danger man. A googly from Gopal. It lands around off and turns back in. Pandey moves back to play at it late but seems to have missed the ball. He loses his balance a bit after that and Samson is quick to dislodge the bails. He appeals and the square leg umpire goes upstairs as Manish is down. The replays roll in and they find that for a moment, Manish lifted his back leg and at that moment, Sanju flicked the bails off. Pandey will have to go. Hang on, the replays also show that there was an outside edge as Samson collected the ball cleanly. Given as stumping initially but then they changed it to caught behind. A dramatic end to a promising knock. 121/3
  • Stumping appeal has been referred upstairs. Not much excitement shown by the Rajasthan players. Let's see...
  • 14.5 FOUR! This is a really nice shot! Manish Pandey gives himself the room by moving back to a full ball in the line of the stumps and then pumps it over extra cover for a boundary.
  • 14.4 Tossed up ball on middle, it's gently turned in front of square leg for a quick single.
  • 14.3 Short ball on off, spinning away, Pandey moves back and slaps it through cover-point for one.
  • 14.2 The length is on the shorter side and Shankar pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a single.
  • 14.1 Hits the yorker mark on middle, it's dug out by Pandey and the ball goes over the bowler for a run.
  • Shreyas Gopal is back into the attack.
  • 13.6 Flatter one, around leg, helped to short fine leg for one. 113/2
  • 13.5 Played to the mid-wicket region by the batsman. They pick up a single.
  • 13.4 Makes room and chips it over mid off for a run.
  • 13.3 Knocks a full ball down through mid on for a run.
  • Steven Smith is seen getting his right hand strapped. Rajasthan and Australia will hope there is nothing serious with him.
  • 13.2 Driven through mid off by the batsman. They pick up a single.
  • 13.1 Shortish and on off, Shankar reaches out for it and hits it down to long on for a run.
  • Riyan Parag is back into the attack.
  • 12.6 Back of a length ball on off, angling in, Pandey stays back and opens the face of his bat at the last moment to guide it towards third man. A single to end a successful over for Rajasthan. 107/2
  • 12.5 Some chin music for the batsman, he lets that bouncer through to the wicket-keeper.
  • 12.4 Goes on the back foot and punches it wide of mid off for a run.
  • 12.3 Direct hit would have been interesting. Shankar taps it down to the off side and looks for a brisk run. Pandey responds and rushes across to the other end. The fielder has a shy at the striker's end but misses. Would have been really close.
  • 12.2 Pandey opens the face of the bat and helps it to third man. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • Vijay Shankar is the new batsman in.
  • 12.1 OUT! Superman Smith has taken a stunner to dismiss his countryman! What an outstanding catch. Captain leading from the front. Thomas starts his new spell with a shorter delivery in the line of the stumps, Warner hops back to play a big shot but mistimes his shot in the air towards extra cover. Steven Smith immediately rushes across to his right from mid off and dives full length to take a one-handed ripper. Efforts like these just lift the confidence of the entire team. End of a strange knock by Warner which didn't have a single boundary. The 75-run stand is also broken and Rajasthan would hope to capitalize from here.
  • Oshane Thomas is back into the attack.
  • 11.6 Back of a length ball around leg, Warner pulls it behind square leg and takes a single. 10 from the over, Hyderabad are 103/1! 103/1
  • 11.5 Fifty for Pandey, his 14th in the League! It has come off 27 balls. Fullish and on middle, Manish forces it back to the bowler who misfields and deflects it towards covers. They cross for a single. Another fine knock by Manish, he is just continuing from where he left off in the previous match. A welcome sight for Hyderabad.
  • 11.4 The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 11.3 Good stop in the deep by Livingstone! Short in length and outside off, Pandey slams it over cover-point and Liam in the deep makes a brilliant stop after chasing it across to his left. Two runs saved. 100 up!
  • 11.2 FOUR! First boundary after the 9th over. Too full in length on off, Pandey drills it straight down the ground and both long on and long off have no chance.
  • 11.1 The batsman has played it towards mid-wicket. One run added to the total.
  • 11.1 Wide! Binny starts with an off cutter down the leg side, Warner tries to flick but misses.
  • Stuart Binny is into the attack.
  • 10.6 Warner is surprised by the extra bounce on this delivery. An off cutter on off, landing and gripping before jumping onto the batsman, David somehow keeps it out on the off side and jogs across to the other end. A coupe of quiet overs bowled by Rajasthan here. 93/1
  • 10.5 A mishit! Unadkat continues to bowl off-pace deliveries, it's a bit short and on off, Warner is early into his attempted shot across the line but it takes the bottom edge and rolls behind to the keeper.
  • 10.4 Slower ball, an off cutter on the shorter side around off, Warner turns it with soft hands to mid-wicket and picks up a couple of runs.
  • 10.3 Short in length and on off, Pandey makes room and slaps it to deep cover for another run in this over.
  • 10.2 Slower short ball on off, Warner reads it early and just helps his pull shot behind square leg for a run.
  • 10.1 Starts his spell with a short delivery outside off, Warner goes back and punches it to sweeper cover for a brace. Still no boundary for David.
  • Jaydev Unadkat is back into the attack.
  • 9.6 Spinning away from the batsman, Pandey plays at it late past short third man for a couple of runs. Hyderabad are 86/1 at the halfway mark! 86/1
  • 9.5 Quicker one at 91 kph, flat and short on off, Pandey punches but finds the cover fielder.
  • 9.4 Loopy and full, on leg, Warner flicks it to deep mid-wicket for one.
  • 9.3 Short ball on middle, pulled through square leg for a single.
  • 9.2 Flatter and fuller on leg, eased down to long on for a run.
  • 9.1 Full and floated on off, Warner chips it over covers and scampers back for the second run. Hard to believe that David has not hit a single boundary and it's the 10th over.
  • 8.6 Flat and short on off, punched off the back foot but straight to the cover fielder. 12 from the over, Hyderabad continue to go strong. 79/1
  • 8.5 FOUR! Parag feels the pressure and serves it short on middle. Manish Pandey is ready for it inside the crease and pulls it across the line through mid-wicket for a boundary. 50-run stand comes up!
  • 8.4 FOUR! Goes downtown and finds the fence! Tossed up ball landing full around off, Pandey lines up behind the delivery and powers it over the bowler's head for a boundary.
  • 8.3 Flighted and on leg, Pandey flicks it behind square leg and returns for the second run.
  • 8.2 Fires one into the batsman from 'round the wicket. It's a bit short and punched down to long off for a single.
  • 8.1 Flighted and full on off, Manish eases it down through mid off for a run.
  • 7.6 Warner misses out this time. Short and on off, the Aussie smashes it off his back foot but finds point. 10 from the over, a very ordinary over from Gopal. 67/1
  • 7.5 The batsman works it down the leg side. They pick up a single.
  • 7.4 FOUR! Two in two! Gopal is not learning. Drops another short delivery, on middle and it stays a bit low too, Pandey adjusts well, turns inside the crease and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
  • 7.3 FOUR! Finds the gap this time. A batsman of his class won't miss out often. Gopal once again is on the shorter side around off, Pandey uses the depth of his crease well and cuts it through the gap between point and short third man for a boundary.
  • 7.2 Misses out. A shade short in length around off, Manish goes back to play the square cut but finds the point fielder.
  • 7.1 A leg spinner on the shorter side around off, Warner punches it off his back foot to sweeper cover for a single.
  • Strategic break! Steady going for Hyderabad after losing Williamson. Warner has adopted a cautious approach while Pandey once again is looking in sublime form. The tourists will want this pair to bat long as there isn't much promise shown by their middle order. For Rajasthan, they will have to bowl and field a lot better than they have been doing so far.
  • 6.6 Flatter delivery, short and on off, Warner jumps on the back foot and hits it to sweeper cover. One more added to the total, six singles from Parag's first over. 57/1

  • 5.3 Fuller and on middle, Warner flicks but finds the mid-wicket fielder.
  • 5.2 Digs in another short ball, on middle and leg, Pandey takes his eyes off the ball but still manages to pull it through square leg for a run.
  • 5.1 Short in length on off, Warner drags his pull shot over mid-wicket and Gopal chases it from mid on. Exceptional running between the wickets to pick up three runs.

  • 3.6 FOUR! Pandey gets off the mark with a superb shot. He showed good form in the last match and is continuing again. Loopy and full outside off, Manish takes a stride forward and lofts it over mid off for a boundary. 5 runs and a wicket from Gopal's first over. 32/1
  • Manish Pandey is the new batsman in.
  • 3.5 OUT! Timber! Gopal hunts down Williamson. He continues to pick prized scalps and Kane is the latest entrant. A well-disguised googly from him. It lands around off and spins back in sharply. Williamson tries to flick by going back (should have been forward) but misses. It brushes his pads and then goes on to disturb the stumps. Shreyas is up and running in celebration.
  • 3.4 Senses the charge from the batsman and shortens his length a bit. It's on middle and Kane pushes it back. Gopal quickly gets to the ball to his right and then has a shy at the striker's end.
  • 3.3 Tossed up ball on off, at 87 kph, turning back in a hint, Williamson draws forward and defends it back.
  • 3.2 Full and flighted on off, Warner bunts it down to mid off and crosses for a run.

  • 2.5 Pushed to the cover region by the batsman. One run added to the total.
  • 2.4 FOUR! Brilliant from Williamson. There is a little bit of width outside off, Kane just leans into his shot and crunches it through the gap at backward point. Such a delight to watch, Williamson.
  • 2.3 Misfield at point! Back of a length delivery outside off, Kane forces it off his back foot towards Binny who gets a bad bounce and concedes two runs.
  • 2.2 A slower one, full and angling in on off, Williamson presents a straight bat as he pushes it back to the bowler. Aaron is getting his slower ones to move quite appreciably off the surface.
  • 2.1 Beaten! Good length delivery outside off, holding its line, Williamson pokes inside the line and misses.
  • 1.6 A bouncer this time, on middle, Warner leans back and allows it through to the keeper. 10 from this over, 19 in the first two, a good start from Hyderabad. 19/0
  • 1.5 Skiddy delivery. It pitches just outside leg and beats Warner's attempted flick shot. It goes towards third man off his pads and they take a couple of leg byes. Good running between the wickets.
  • 1.4 Width on offer outside off, short in length, Williamson flat-bats it behind point and this time Aaron does the fielding safely in the deep. Only a run.
  • 1.3 On a good length around off, Williamson blocks it off his back foot.
  • 1.2 FOUR! Misfield this time. It's all happening very early in the game. Rajasthan will have to pull up their socks in the field. Poor delivery to start with. It's short and wide outside off, Williamson slaps it through backward point and Aaron coming across to his right from third man makes a complete mess. A boundary results and Oshane screams in disappointment.
  • 1.1 Overthrows yet again at the start of the over! What's going on? A back of a length delivery outside off, Warner dabs it towards backward point and crosses for a brisk run. Livingstone has an unnecessary shy at the striker's end, misses the target and it travels in the deep. Two more taken, three in total.
  • Oshane Thomas to bowl from the other end. A slip is in place for him.
  • 0.6 Slower in pace but the line is too straight, Warner flicks it through the gap at mid-wicket and Unadkat chases it from mid on. He puts in a slide to stop the ball but misfields and the batsmen collect the third run as well. Aaron is not happy. 9 from the first over! 9/0
  • 0.5 Lands it on a length around off, Warner plays it down with soft hands towards covers and comes charging down in search of a run. His skipper is not interested though.
  • 0.4 Fractionally short in length around off, a knuckle ball at 120 kph, Williamson goes on the back foot and taps it down to covers for a run.
  • 0.3 Gets behind the line of the delivery properly this time and drives it towards mid off.
  • 0.2 Excellent delivery. An inswinger. Landing on a good length around off and nips back in to ping Williamson high on the front pad. Kane got surprised due to the extra bounce and movement.
  • 0.1 Five runs to get things underway! A hesitant start from Warner. Aaron delivers it on a back of a length outside off, angling away, Warner decides to leave it but is late in withdrawing his bat. They cross for a hesitant single as the point fielder misses his shy at the striker's end. The fielder backing up fails to stop the ball and it speeds away to the fence.
  • Time to play the game! David Warner and Kane Williamson to open for Hyderabad. Opening partnerships have been the key to success for the visiting team and with Jonny Bairstow missing, it will be interesting to find out how it goes for them now. Laughs and says there is one more change which he cannot remember. • Rajasthan skipper, Steven Smith says that they will bowl first and reckons that it looks similar to the surface they played on against Delhi. • Toss - Up goes the coin, Kane Williamson calls it wrongly and RAJASTHAN WILL FIELD!
  • Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen for the coverage of Match 45 between Rajasthan and Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Gone are the days when the pink team used to be invincible at home as they have clearly lost that grip after winning just the two games out of 6 played here so far this season. As a result, they are languishing at the bottom of the points table and are in a do-or-die situation. Hyderabad, on the other hand, are currently placed in the top 4 but are entering into this match on the back of a loss against Chennai. With the battle for the playoffs intensifying, the touring party won't want to lose any more game and jeopardize their situation. Plenty at stake for both sides, expect a close match.

  • A thumping win for Rajasthan and they have kept themselves in the hunt with back-to-back wins. It can be termed as one of their better performances this season. Their bowling was right on the money after a poor start with everyone contributing equally. Chasing a target of 161, usually you need one good partnership and their new opening pair provided that. Rahane and Livingstone put together a 78-run stand and that nearly put the chase to bed. Agreed, there were a few stutters in between but Rajasthan never got under any kind of pressure. A word of praise for Sanju Samson also, who batted through and stayed unbeaten. With this win, Rajasthan have moved to sixth in the points table and also, Chennai have become the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
