  • The ground might be small, but Windies weren't all that great with the ball. They lacked innovation and weren't supported in the field at all. Their mishaps from the previous game came to haunt them, and as a result, they paid the price for it. Dropped Babar Azam of all people and then he went on to score almost 20 more runs after that. The visitors will have to come out firing from the word go. A good start is key. Join us in a bit for the second half.
  • Another excellent total posted on the board by Pakistan. They've bettered their performance with the bat from yesterday and registered their highest-ever total in T20Is. Fakhar Zaman departed early but Babar Azam and the newbie Hussain Talat took things in their stride and powered a 119-run stand to set it all up. Shoaib Malik later came in and then along with Babar, ensured Pakistan crossed the 200-mark yet again. The latter might have missed out on his ton, but he played a superb knock yet again.
  • 19.6 No he doesn't. But has played really well to take Pakistan to 205. Full ball on the legs of Azam who cannot flick it well enough for a boundary. The ball rolls to the short fine leg region where he can only pick up a run. PAKISTAN END WITH 205-3 AFTER 20 OVERS.
  • 19.5 Short ball outside off, Azam finds the fielder at point. Still on 96, can he get to the three digit mark?
  • 19.4 Malik taps it around the corner and gives Azam the strike. Pakistan now cross their highest ever T20I score.
  • 19.3 Frustrated Azam after he finds the fielder at short third man. Moves to the other end with this.
  • 19.2 FOUR! Short ball outside off, Azam pulls it in the gap through mid-wicket for a boundary. Pakistan get to 200 with this and Azam moves to 95.
  • 19.1 Full on leg, Babar flicks it through square leg for a brace. Moves to the nervous nineties with this.
  • 18.6 Full around off, Azam drives this towards mid off for one. 196/3

  • 17.2 FOUR! Back of a length ball on the pads of Malik who nudges it fine down the leg side for a boundary.
  • 17.1 NOT OUT! That ball would have clipped the leg stump but the on-field call of not out stands. Emrit serves this full on leg, Azam tries to dig out the yorker but cannot get bat to it. The ball hits his ankle area and rolls towards short the third man region. The bowlers appeal but the umpire stays put. Jason Mohammed has a talk with Emrit and decides to take it up. Hawk Eye shows that the ball would have clipped the leg stump. Azam stays and so does the review of Windies.
  • An appeal for LBW is referred upstairs. Babar Azam is the man in question. Is this going to miss the leg stump?
  • Shoaib Malik is the next man in.

  • 14.4 FOUR! Short ball outside off and this time Ali upper cuts it over the third man fielder for a boundary.

  • Rameez Raja is down for the pitch report. He says that there are a few cracks along with a few green patches of grass. He adds by saying that the track is warm and good for batting. He ends by saying that he will give the pitch five stars and reckons that it will be another long day for the bowlers.
  • TOSS - Pakistan win the toss and will bat first!
  • For Pakistan, cricket has returned to Karachi after nine long years and they are surely making the most of it. The crowd came out in good numbers yesterday and the players didn't disappoint them a bit. Pakistan outclassed the visitors in all departments yesterday and will hope for the same performance today as well. We all expect the Windies to come stronger and harder at the hosts today. Should be a good contest.
  • The first game between these two saw Pakistan achieve their joint-highest T20I score while the Windies got their lowest. Interestingly, both sides do not have a day's break to analyze their game, something that Jason Mohammed's men will need more than their counterparts. The jet lagged Windies team will have to get their act together as quickly as possible if they want to make a mark on this tour. To make matters worse, they will be without their spinner, Veerasammy Permaul, who twisted his ankle in the course of the first match. With not much experience in their ranks, they will hope that their seniors come good and put aside all the critics which they had to face.

Pakistan Vs West Indies Live Score (T20) Ball by Ball Commentary

  • That's all we have for you folks. Pakistan win another series under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed. Tomorrow, 3rd April, Tuesday, is the last and final T20I of the series. Join us then again for that as we bring you all the live updates from the game which begins at 1930 local (1430 GMT). Till then, ta-ta!
  • Sarfraz Ahmed, the Pakistan skipper, is all praises to god and his team. He says that it is the players that win him the game and not his captaincy. On his captaincy, he adds by saying that he tries to stay calm and win every game. Opines that the whole staff is good and the boys are doing well to stay fit. Finally ends by thanking the crowd for their support.
  • Windies skipper, Jason Mohammed, says that he is disappointed with the team's performance but credits the batters for a better show. He states that it is difficult to set a field for the opposition as they keep on attacking. He ends by saying they will try and win the last game before going back home.
  • Babar Azam, the Man of the Match winner, says that he is unlucky not to get to his 100 but is happy with the way he batted. He continues saying that the plan was to bat 20 overs and he did just that. Ends by saying that it helps playing along with Fakhar Zaman as he takes away the pressure from him so that he can play his game.
  • Rameez Raja is down with Shadab Khan for an interview. The leggie states that he cannot grip the ball when there is dew so prefers bowling the leg spin instead of the googly. He says that there is a good atmosphere in the dressing room with the youngsters and they enjoy their time together. He adds by saying that they feel confident after the Pakistan T20 League and now are happy with the series win. Ends by saying that they are high on confidence and overjoyed with the crowd support.
  • The hosts were dominant with the ball and energetic in the field. Everybody, barring Faheem Ashraf, contributed to the visitor's downfall. Mohammad Amir showed his class and experience as he led the charge with a 3-fer. The rest did their job and bagged the win for the home crowd to celebrate. Earlier in the day, a century stand between Babar Azam (who barely missed out on a ton), and Hussain Talat and some late lusty blows from Shoaib Malik got Pakistan to a score which eventually proved too much for the Windies.
  • Two emphatic wins for Pakistan in two days. They outplayed Windies in all departments and came out victors on the other side of this contest. Chasing a target of 206, the tourists needed a blazing start to stand any chance, but that never happened as the Pakistan bowlers kept things tight and picked wickets at regular intervals. There wasn't a single fifty-run partnership in the Windies innings which should say everything in itself.
  • 19.2 OUT! PAKISTAN WIN BY 82 RUNS! Another massive win for the hosts. Fuller ball on the stumps, Smith looks to go big downtown. No distance on this, as it sails towards long off. Mohammad Nawaz there comes running in and takes a good diving catch to finish things up.
  • 19.1 Angling in on middle and leg, worked through mid-wicket for a run.
  • Hussain Talat will bowl the final over of the game.
  • 18.6 FOUR! Smashed! Full and just outside off, Smith makes room for himself and hits it hard between cover and mid off for a boundary. 122/9
  • 18.5 Outside off on a length, Smith plays and misses.
  • 18.4 Quite full again, this time Smith drives it through mid on and gets two runs for it.
  • 18.3 Extremely full, on off stump, played right back to the bowler.
  • 18.2 Short of a good length outside off, Badree rises on his toes and drops it on the off side for a single.
  • Samuel Badree is the last batsman in.
  • 18.1 OUT! Another wicket down! Windies could be wrapped up here completely before the 20 overs. Full and straight from Hasan Ali, Williams has to connect otherwise he's gone. He doesn't, and has his stumps rattled behind.
  • Hasan Ali returns to the attack.
  • 17.6 Driven towards the mid off region. They pick up a single. 115/8
  • Odean Smith, the debutant, is out to bat.
  • 17.5 OUT! Silly run out. No clue what's going on out there. Slanting away on a length, outside off, Emrit opens the face and dabs it behind point. Ashraf runs to his right from third man and cuts it off, before throwing it back to the keeper. Now, what should have been an easy run turns into a disaster as Emrit comes back for the second. His partner has no idea about this. Both batsmen are at the same end, so Sarfraz runs with the ball to the bowler's end and takes the bails off.
  • Kesrick Williams will bat now.
  • 17.4 OUT! Keemo's fun little stay in the middle comes to an end. Length ball around off, Paul swings hard and gets a big top edge. It flies down towards third man where Faheem Ashraf runs in from the deep and takes a good catch.
  • 17.3 FOUR! He's enjoying himself out there! Full ball attacking the stumps, Paul stays leg side and smacks this powerfully through the cover area. Beats the fielder and gets a boundary to his name.
  • 17.2 In the air... but danger averted this time. Fuller in length, it's the slower one again. Paul lofts this across the line over mid-wicket. Falls safely and two runs are taken.
  • Rayad Emrit is the new man in.
  • 17.1 OUT! One more scalp for Amir. Fuller and slower on off, the lack of pace deceives Powell as he's early into the lofted shot. He balloons it towards cover where Babar Azam settles underneath it, before taking a safe catch.
  • 16.6 Another one worked away on the leg side for a single. 107/5
  • 16.5 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. One run added to the total.
  • 16.4 Uses the angle well to flick this through mid-wicket. One run taken.
  • 16.3 Full toss, punched through covers for one run.
  • 16.2 FOUR! Consecutive boundaries for Paul! He backs away to this back of a length delivery on off and forces the punch past the diving mid off fielder for another boundary.
  • 16.1 FOUR! That went like a rocket! Short delivery into the body, Keemo Paul nails the pull through square leg. No fielder out there moved an inch, it went that quickly.
  • Hasan Ali back on.
  • 15.6 Looks to go big but he's made no clear connection on that. Clears his front leg and lofts it to long on on the bounce. Single taken. 95/5
  • 15.5 Almost a yorker, well outside off this time, Paul drills it but straight to the man at cover.
  • 15.4 Marginally ahead of a length, on off and shaping away, it's played to the left of the bowler by Paul. No run taken.
  • Keemo Paul walks in next.
  • 15.3 OUT! Pinpoint yorker from Mohammad Amir. Right on the money. Fires it on the stumps, Jason Mohammed makes room looking to squeeze it away square on the off side, but it's too good for him and he has his stumps rattled. No chance to play that one. Was absolutely perfect from Amir. He picks up his first wicket of the game.
  • 15.2 Moving away from around off, on a length, pushed away from the body to the covers for a single.
  • 15.1 Full in length and swinging away from middle and leg, Mohammed checks his shot and chips it to mid-wicket for a single.
  • Rovman Powell joins the skipper in the middle. Also, Mohammad Amir is back into the attack.
  • 14.6 OUT! Slow ball bouncer around off, Ramdin pulls this away. He doesn't time it well enough and the ball goes towards the deep mid-wicket region where Hassan Ali settles under it and takes the catch comfortably. Ramdin who just started to get a move falls. 92/4
  • 14.5 The batsman drives this through the covers. They pick up a single.
  • 14.5 Wide! The ball is way wide on the leg side but the batsman still goes after it. Wide signalled by the umpire.
  • 14.4 Bangs this one short, Jason goes for the pull but gets hit on his body. No damage done.
  • 14.3 FOUR! This is poor bowling from Talat. Length ball down the leg, Mohammed whips it over the short fine leg fielder for a boundary.
  • 14.2 FOUR! Full on middle, Jason makes room, gets low and slices this over covers for a one bounce boundary.
  • 14.1 Full on leg, Ramdin flicks it away for one.
  • 13.6 The ball strikes the batsman very low on the pads as Ramdin misses his flick. They cross as the ball moves far from the fielder. 81/3
  • 13.5 Appeal for caught behind but not given. Ali saw Ramdin making room so shortened his length. Cramped him for room and made it too close to cut. Almost ended up edging that to the keeper.
  • 13.4 The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. The batsmen have picked up a couple of runs.
  • 13.3 Short ball, Ramdin pulls this to the square leg fielder for a dot.
  • 13.2 SIX! Ramdin getting a late move on. Lofts this overpitched ball over mid-wicket for a biggie. Too little too late for the Windies.
  • 13.1 Back of a length ball, Jason punches this to the cover region for one.
