  • Now then, the total is quite similar to the one Australia were chasing in the last two games. It is again not going to be easy. Can they overhaul the total this time or will Pakistan cleansweep them? Join us in a while to find out.
  • The Australian bowlers started off poorly. They were taken to the cleaners in the Powerplay but after that, managed to dictate terms. They used the slower ones really well which did not let the batsmen score freely. Zampa was the pick of the lot but it was Marsh's over which turned the momentum towards the visitors.
  • The pressure then got to the openers as Farhan then perished in the search of some quick runs. Azam too departed after getting to his fifty. Malik and Hafeez did build a good stand but once the former fell, the runs dried up. The middle order did not contribute a lot and only 11 came from the last two overs. It was Hafeez' innings that took Pakistan to 150.
  • Excellent comeback by the Aussies. Pakistan however, have got to a total which has proven to be enough in the last two T20Is. They though looked like they would get at least 20 more as their openers got them off to a wonderful start. Their score read 54 after the Powerplay but then struggled as the ball got a little soft. The spinners managed to apply the breaks in the middle overs.
  • 19.6 Yes, he can! Just a single and 5 from the last over. How good is that? He ends with the slower ball, Imad moves right across and tries to paddle but mistimes it towards short fine leg for a run. PAKISTAN END WITH 150 ON THE BOARD!
  • 19.5 Pakistan again have to be content with a run as Hafeez hits it down to long on. Just 4 from the over so far, can Tye end it well?
  • 19.4 Goes fuller this time on middle, Wasim flicks it through mid-wicket for a run.
  • 19.3 Another slower bouncer, very difficult to hit these off pace deliveries. Hafeez hits it off the toe end to mid-wicket for a run.
  • 19.2 Only a single of the second as Wasim slaps it through covers.
  • 19.1 A dot to start the last! A slower bouncer! Imad comes down the track and goes for the pull but is done in by the pace.
  • 18.6 Another brace to end as Hafeez pulls this through backward square leg. A very good 18th over by Marsh. Just 6 runs and 2 wickets from it. 145/5
  • 18.5 Slower ball on the pads, Hafeez flicks it through backward square leg for a brace.
  • Imad Wasim walks out now.
  • 18.4 OUT! In the air... gone! Two in the over for Marsh. What a masterstroke this has turned out to be. He bangs it in short and on middle, Faheem goes for the pull but it takes the top edge towards deep square leg. Tye there runs to his left and takes it on the second attempt. Australia finishing strongly here.
  • 18.3 shortish again on middle, hafeez goes for the pull but gets a top edge towards mid-wicket for a run.
  • It is drizzling! But they are not going as of now.
  • Faheem Ashraf strides out to the middle.
  • 18.2 OUT! Asif Ali holes out! A stunning effort by Nathan. The ploy to give Marsh the penultimate over has started off well. It is again the slower ball on middle, Asif tries to clear the long on fence. The timing is not that great. Nathan at long on, judges it really well as he is quite close to the ropes and takes with both hands with a leap. The man who can tonk it long is walking back, without making an impact once again.
  • 18.1 Slower ball on the stumps, Hafeez mistimes it towards long on for a run.
  • Mitchell Marsh to bowl his first and last over. Big risk.
  • 17.6 FOUR! Up and over! Third boundary in the over! 13 from it. Poor again by Tye. Not the right line, way outside off with third man up. He carves it over point and the ball races away. 139/3
  • 17.5 Another slower ball around off, Ali pushes it to covers.
  • 17.4 Eases this through covers for a run.
  • 17.3 NOT OUT! Missing leg! Did not see that coming. Excellent decision to review. A slower yorker on middle, Hafeez is way too early into his flick. Misses and is hit low on the pads. The players appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Hafeez has a chat with the non-striker and then reviews. Hawk Eye shows it to be going down. Hafeez survives. Pakistan though won't get the leg bye they ran.
  • Review time! Hafeez has been given LBW. He though ash opted to review. Has to be an inside edge as he seems to be a goner.
  • 17.2 FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries! He plays the paddle this time and connects well. It goes over short fine leg for a boundary. 8 runs from the first two balls. Can Pakistan make this a big over?
  • 17.1 FOUR! Once again a boundary to start the over. Not a good delivery with third man up. Width on offer and it is slightly short. Hafeez guides it towards short third man. Not a good effort by Lynn there and it races to the fence.
  • Andrew Tye is back into the attack.
  • 16.6 A dot to end! On off, kept out. So a lovely comeback after going for a boundary. A wicket and two dots. 126/3
  • 16.5 Flatter and outside off, Ali goes to cut but misses.
  • Asif Ali walks out to the middle.
  • 16.4 OUT! Leading edge and taken! Zampa gets his revenge. This is tossed up on middle, it turns away. Malik tries to work it on the leg side against the turn. Not a good idea on a wicket which is turning. It takes the leading edge and goes towards covers where Finch takes an easy catch. A big wicket as Malik can be dangerous towards the end. Australia need to keep taking wickets to restrict Pakistan to below 160.
  • 16.3 FOUR! Crunched! Malik loves using his feet against spin and he has done it here as well and that too effectively. Takes it on the full and smashes it through covers for a boundary.
  • 16.2 Slower through the air but short. It also sticks in the surface. Hafeez tries to pull but it goes off the toe end towards long on for a run.
  • 16.1 Flatter and outside off, Hafeez finds point with his cut.
  • Zampa is back.
  • 15.6 Another brace to end another good over! Goes fuller this time, Malik hits it down towards long off. Long on runs to his left and keeps it down to two. 21 from the last two overs. 121/2
  • 15.5 Excellent running! Malik guides this towards third man. It is played a touch fine. Malik runs the first one hard and goes for the second and completes it.
  • 15.4 Hafeez makes room but NCN follows him. He pulls it towards square leg for a run.
  • 15.3 Around off, Hafeez guides it to point. A dot.
  • 15.2 Now follows the boundary up with a single as he flicks it through mid-wicket.
  • 15.1 FOUR! Boundary to start the over! Pressure on the bowler now. Slightly short and width on offer outside off, Malik pounces on it and cuts it through point. The third man fielder runs to his right and dives but fails to stop it. Malik now is the second highest run-scorer in T20Is. Goes past McCullum.
  • Nathan Coulter-Nile is back for the death...
  • 14.6 Another single to end! 11 from it. Malik works it through mid-wicket for a single. 111/2
  • 14.5 Another full toss but once again Pakistan do not take full toll of it. It is swept towards deep square leg for a run.
  • 14.4 SIX! All the way! Hafeez makes excellent use of the feet and tonks the ball over long off for a biggie. They will look for one every over now.
  • 14.3 A full toss, it may have surprised Malik as he only pushes it towards long on for a run.
  • 14.2 Almost took the umpire off there! It is a short ball on middle, the batter goes back and pulls it hard. It is right towards the square leg umpire who moves out of the way and a run is taken.
  • 14.1 On off, the batsman goes back and works it through mid-wicket for a run.
  • Short is back on.
  • 13.6 Fuller in length and it is the seam-up delivery. Malik eases it down to long on to bring the 100 up. 6 more overs to go and they have 8 wickets in hand. The platform is set for them to step on the gas. 100/2
  • 13.5 On the shorter side, Hafeez tries to cut but due to the slowness of the wicket, it goes off the under edge and towards third man for a run.
  • 13.4 Slower ball on off, kept out.
  • 13.3 A bumper on middle, Malik pulls it, not off the middle and towards mid-wicket for a run.
  • 13.2 Angles this into the batter, Malik works it to mid-wicket.
  • Shoaib Malik walks out to the middle.
  • 13.1 OUT! DRAGS IT ON! Azam departs shortly after getting to his half century. Two quick wickets for Australia and they are back into the game. The slower one does the trick for Tye. It is on the fuller side outside off, Azam goes for a drive away from his body. The ball comes off very slow from the surface. It takes the inside edge and disturbs the furniture behind. Both the set batsmen are back in the hut, just what Australia wanted, two new batsmen and it is not easy to score on a wicket when you have just arrived. They will look to slow down the run rate.
  • Andrew Tye is back on.
  • 12.6 FOUR! Lucky! Full and outside off, Hafeez looks to play the reverse sweep but gets a bottom edge. It goes between the keepet's legs and races to the third man fence! Finally a wicket for Lyon - he ends with figures of 4-0-33-1. 97/1
  • Mohammad Hafeez is the new man in.
  • 12.5 OUT! Dismissed off a full toss! Perhaps he was getting frustrated. Comes down the track and looks to go over the top but finds Andrew Tye to perfection at long off. The fielder perhaps came running in quickly and had to adjust. The 93-run stand is broken.
  • 12.4 Full and outside off, driven through mid off for one more. 7th T20I FIFTY FOR AZAM!
  • 12.3 Short and outside off, cut through point for a run.
  • 12.2 The batsman defends it from within the crease.
  • 12.1 On middle and leg, flicked through the leg side for a single.
  • Nathan Lyon to bowl out.
  • 11.6 A couple to end the over. It is short and outside off, Farhan slaps it through covers for a brace. A good over for Pakistan, they needed this after a few tight overs. 10 from it. 90/0
  • 11.5 The batsman works it down the leg side. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 11.4 Smart batting now! He got a maximum two balls ago and now there is no need of taking a risk. He works it around the corner for a run.
  • 11.3 Flatter this time and around off, skids off the surface. SF goes for the drive but gets an inside edge onto his pads.
  • 11.2 SIX! BANG! That should release all the pressure building. Huge one. Farhan brings the slog sweep out and connects well. It sails over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.
  • 11.1 A dot to start the over! Comes down the wicket but Zampa bowls it a touch short. Farhan pushes it back to the bowler.
  • 10.6 A single to end another good over. Farhan nudges this through mid-wicket for a run. 80/0
  • 10.5 An appeal but not given! Farhan dances down the track and misses a low full toss. It hits the pads and goes towards short third man. The players appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Going down leg. Finch and Short do think about a review but opt against it. Rightly so.
  • 10.4 Again, with the turn it is worked through the leg side for a run.
  • 10.4 Down the leg side, Azam lets it go. Wide signal.
  • 10.3 Nicely played! Azam works it with the turn through mid-wicket. It is in the gap and the batsmen take two.
  • 10.2 Flatter and outside off, Azam lunges and keeps it out. The batters are finding it difficult to score of the spinners.
  • 10.1 A chance! Tough one! It was on the shorter side, the batter goes back and smashes back towards the bowler. Short fails to react quickly and it goes down to long on for a run. Replays later on show, it was not a chance as the ball was way too high for Short to catch it.
  • 9.6 A short ball, Farhaan pulls it towards long on for one more. 74/0 at the halfway stage. 175 on the cards? 74/0
  • 9.5 Comes down the track, is beaten in flight and punches this back to the bowler.
  • 9.4 On middle, helped through mid-wicket for another single.
  • 9.3 Low full toss, driven through long off for one.
  • 9.3 WIDE. Full and well outside off, left alone.
  • 9.2 On off, driven towards long off for a run.
  • 9.1 Full and outside off, eased through the covers for a single.
  • 8.6 Comes down the track but is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. He is gone for all money but the ball hits his pads and lobs towards short third man. A leg bye taken. 69/0

  • 7.4 Full on midle, pushed back to the bowler.
  • 7.3 Outside off, punched towards long off for one.
  • 7.2 Quicker through the air, Farhan stays back to flick but is beaten by the away turn. Is lucky to get an outside edge towards short third man. A run stolen.
  • 7.1 Landed on middle, spinning away, flicked through mid-wicket for a single.
  • Another change. Adam Zampa is on.
  • 6.6 On middle and leg, played with soft hands through mid-wicket for one more. 61/0
  • 6.5 Comes out again, mistimes his loft but it does not carry to long on. A run taken. The stand is now worth 60 from 41 balls.
  • 6.4 Comes down the track and bunts it back to the bowler.
  • 6.3 Full on middle, Babar comes down the track and flicks it towards short mid-wicket.

  • D'Arcy Short to bowl his left-arm chinaman.
  • 5.6 SIX! FEROCIOUS! The slower attempted by Tye but it has been read well and dispatched. A touch short outside off, wide as well, but Farhan pulls it massively over long on! 54/0 is Pakistan's score in the Powerplay! A dominant start. 54/0
  • 5.5 Outside off, back of a length, steered towards third man for one. Moves to 30 from 20 balls.

  • 4.4 On middle and leg, played straight to short mid-wicket.
  • 4.3 SIX! CREAMED! Full and outside off, Farhan smashes it over mid off and the ball clears the ropes!
  • 4.2 On middle, works it past a diving Glenn Maxwell at short mid-wicket for a single.
  • 4.1 FOUR! Another boundary for Babar! Jumps down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and lofts it over mid off! Again, not cleanly timed but it is good enough.

  • Nathan Coulter-Nile was seen catching up with Brendan Julian before the start of the game. He says that it will be great if Australia manage a win tonight. On the pitch, he says as a bowler he loves to take wickets but it would have been better had there been bounce. Admits that he has been relying on cutters to get wickets which will be more useful bowling second. Hopes that Australia bat first tonight. On his plan, he says that he likes to bowl with the older ball, so that he can size up the situation.
  • TEAM NEWS - One change for Australia. Nathan Lyon gets a go, in place of the tall Billy Stanlake. For Pakistan, they have left out Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Afridi. In come Sahibzaada Farhan and Usman Khan.
  • TOSS - Scratch that previous sentence. For the third time in a row, Pakistan will be batting first. This time Sarfraz won the toss.
  • Batting has been the main issue for the Aussies. They have struggled to score off Imad and when he is out of the attack, they have struggled to score off the seamers too. However, if they get a chance to bat first and get around 130-140, it might still be a handful.
  • We are all set for the final match of Australia's UAE tour. It has been a forgettable one for the visitors yet again. They started it well, with a fighting draw in the first Test, but then tapered off in the second while the T20Is have not been their piece of cake at all. How will the final one pan out? Remember, Pakistan have already won the series and Australia will be playing for pride. Hello and a warm welcome to the third and final T20I between Pakistan and Australia in Dubai.

Pakistan Vs Australia Live Score (T20) Ball by Ball Commentary

  • That is all we have for you from this match and tour. Australia go home empty handed while Pakistan continue to be consistent. They however, welcome New Zealand in a couple of days in another series while Australia prepare for South Africa. For now, Sarfraz and co. smile and pose for the cameras as they are handed the 'biscuit-trophy'. We hope you enjoyed all the coverage that was brought to you throughout. Continue being with us for other games. Till then, be safe and do good.
  • Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed, starts by crediting the whole team and reckons they outplayed Australia in the whole series. Mentions T20 is not a format where they can relax and they take every game seriously. Appreciates the bowlers for the way they bowled in this series. They would want to carry forward the momentum into the series against New Zealand. Ends by acknowledging Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez for the way they have played.
  • Australia skipper, Aaron Finch, says they had a chance in all three games as any target below 160 is chaseable. Admits they lacked partnerships. Credits Pakistan for their fielding. Ends by saying, the series against Sri Lanka and South Africa is not going to be easy.

Adds further he would want to carry forward the form he is in, into the matches coming ahead. Ends by saying the role given to him which is to play throughout suits him and he paces his innings according to the situation.
  • Man of the Match, Shadab Khan, says he bowled good lines and lengths today. Reckons the ball was skidding more tonight and it was griping more in the last game. Adds further he has a gaemplan for every batsman and it came off well today. Ends by saying he is not angry on his teammates for dropping the catches as he himself dropped one, on his own bowling.
  • Australia for once did well at the start but was just not good enough. They kept losing wickets but maintained pace with the scoring rate. They were level with Pakistan after 10 overs but lost 5 more wickets. None of the their batsmen held one end and they were no where in the game. Earlier on, after a good opening partnership Pakistan managed to put on 150 on the board. Stay tuned for the presentation.
  • Another dominant performance from the hosts. This is the first time Pakistan have ever whitewashed Australia in any format in a 3-match series. What a display by the Men in Green and they continue showing-off why they are the no.1 T20I side. Once again, apart from the few dropped catches they were clinical in the field. Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers picking up three wickets. Baring Imad, everyone chipped in with the wickets. They didn't allow any partnership to build and kept getting regular breakthroughs.
  • 19.1 OUT! No miracle as Zampa is the last man to be dismissed. The slower ball on off, Zampa makes room and tries to go over covers. He only manage to lob it towards the fielder in that position. Imad Wasim tracks back and takes it. Customary handshakes going on as PAKISTAN WIN BY 33 RUNS!
  • 18.6 A full ball on middle, Lyon hits it down to long on. They run the first one and go for the second. Malik throws it towards the keeper but it hits Lyon. 34 needed in 6 balls. So Australia are still mathematically in it but they need a miracle. 117/9

  • Nathan Lyon is the last man in.
  • 17.6 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Another lovely catch by Sarfraz this time. Full and outside off, Tye swings but he gets an inside edge which goes quickly to the left of Sarfraz. He dives and takes it. 108/9

  • 16.3 Leg spinner outside off, punched through cover-point for one.
  • 16.2 Pushed to the cover region by the batsman.
  • 16.1 DROPPED! Faheem Ashraf the culprit. Should have taken that. Leg spinner outside off, Tye swings and chip it to deep point. Ashraf gets under it but fails to hold on to it. They cross.

  • 15.5 A swing and a miss! Outside off, Tye swings but connects with thin air.
  • 15.4 A yorker on off, Zampa jams it out towards covers for a run.
  • 15.3 Back of a length on off, guided to point.
  • Adam Zampa walks out next.
  • 15.2 OUT! Second run out! The highest scorer for Australia in this series is walking back. A big mix-up. A yorker outside off, Nathan jams it out towards point. He sets off for a run. His partner obliges but then sends him back from the point of no return. Shadab does the smart thing as he runs to the stumps at the striker's end and then breaks it.
  • Andrew Tye strides out to the middle.
  • 15.1 OUT! What a catch by Shoaib Malik. Catch no. 45 in T20Is and it is one he won't forget soon. He is one of the best fielders in the Pakistan team and he is living up to that reputation. A short ball on the body of Short. He flat-bats it towards wide long on. Malik from long on runs to his left and takes a tumbling catch. The last recognized batsman is walking back and now once can surely say, GAME. SET AND MATCH.
  • Usman Khan into another spell.
  • 14.6 A single to end as Short works it through square leg. 52 in 30. 99/6
  • 14.5 FOUR! Much, much-needed boundary. The sweep shot comes out. It is hit in the gap in the mid-wicket region. The fielder in the deep dives but his effort goes in vain.
  • 14.4 The googly on off, Short keeps it out.
  • Nathan Coulter-Nile is the new man in.
  • 14.3 OUT! Marsh walks back and probably he takes back with him Australia's hopes of chasing this down. Shadab Khan gets his third. Excellent bowling. He knew Marsh would use his feet so he bowls it short and also on his body, cramping him for room. Marsh chips it down towards long on. The shot has enough power that it carries towards the fielder at long on. Malik there runs in and takes a decent catch.
  • 14.2 Shadab tosses it above the eye line but the length is very full, Marsh tries to get under it but fails to do so but gets an inside edge onto his pads.
  • 14.1 Tosses it up outside off, Short hits it down to long off for a run.
  • 14.1 A false start for him as he fires it full outside off, wided.
  • Shadab Khan is back on.
