  • 185 is the target now! Nigeria will have to bat out of their skins to chase this one down. The wicket is a little slow but still a good one to bat on but the Jersey players will be confident they can defend this one. Stay tuned for the chase in a while.
  • A power-packed batting display by Jersey! However, their batters were also helped by some horrible bowling by the Nigerians. They were all over the place to begin and were taken to the cleaners. A few of the Jersey batters should be disappointed with themselves as they did manage to get a start but could not make use of it. Greenwood and Jenner though did play well as their partnership has probably taken the score to one which one believes is way above par.
  • 19.6 A couple to end! 14 from the last over. JERSEY END WITH 184/4! The last ball is a full one on middle, it is hit down to long on for two.
  • Also, Okpe is taken out of the attack as he had been warned before for bowling high full tosses. Chima Akachukwu will bowl the last ball of the innings.
  • 19.6 NO BALL AND SIX! It was such a good over till then, this spoils it completely. A high full toss on off, Ward powers it over the long on fence. He just cleared it.

  • Okpe to bowl the last over.
  • 18.6 OUT! BOWLED! Good length delivery on middle, Greenwood looks to play a scoop shot but misses it and gets bowled. Jersey were going for quick runs and that was the reason behind that shot. 170/4
  • 18.5 FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries for Nick Greenwood. Short of a length delivery, Greenwood pulls it through square leg for a boundary.

  • Isaac Okpe is back into the attack. 2-0-19-1 his figures so far.
  • 13.6 The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground. So a good comeback after going for a biggie on the first ball, three singles after that. 121/3
  • 13.5 A single as this is worked with the turn through square leg.
  • 13.4 An appeal but not given! The batter steps outside the line of the off pole and looks to sweep but misses to get hit on the pads. The ball rolls on the leg side, a leg bye is taken.

  • The physio is out in the middle and the fielder is taking a breather and rightly so. He now seems fine and is all set to continue.
  • 3.3 Dropped and the fielder is hurt! Maybe on the face. The ball must have burst through his hands. A short ball on middle, the batter pulls it towards square leg. It goes straight to him who tries to take it with two hands but the ball bursts through and hits him on the face.

  • Ben Stevens is the new batsman in.
  • 2.3 OUT! KABOOM! Two top deliveries in a row, one just missed the stumps and the other knocks the off pole over. Okpe is delighted. Ferraby, who was dealing in boundaries is out of here. A much-needed wicket for Nigeria. This should lift them a little. Ferraby comes down the track and Okpe bowls it very full. NF ends up yorking himself. Fails to jam it out and the off pole goes for a walk.

  • 1.1 FOUR! It is raining boundaries here! Two in the last over and one to start this one. Short and outside off, Ferraby waits for it and then guides it past the short third man fielder for one more boundary.

  • We are all set for the action to begin! The Nigeria players are out in the middle. Nick Ferraby and Harrison Carlyon will open the batting for Jersey. Isaac Okpe will start the proceedings for Nigeria.
  • PITCH REPORT - Niall O'Brien says the boundaries here are big and it will be hard to come by so running between the wickets is going to be important. Dirk Nannes says it is not one a bowler would want to bowl on but it is a touch dry so the spinners might get some turn. Slower balls is the way to go and 150 should be a good score.
  • Nigeria skipper Ademola Onikoyi says they wanted to bat too, it is their first time on this wicket and they want to do well. States they would want their players to step up to this occasion and make most of the opportunity they have got.
  • Jersey skipper, Charles Perchard says it looks a good wicket and he hopes to get a good score and he wants to put the opposition under pressure. States they have played here already and they have an idea about the dimension of the grounds and they are looking to carry forward their momentum.
  • Nigeria (Playing XI) - Daniel Ajekun, Leke Oyede, Sesan Adedeji, Vincent Adewoye, Isaac Okpe, Ademola Onikoyi (C/WK), Chimezie Onwuzulike, Sulaimon Runsewe, Daniel Gim, Chima Akachukwu, Abiodun Abioye.
  • Jersey (Playing XI) - Nick Ferraby, Harrison Carlyon, Ben Stevens, Jonty Jenner, Nick Greenwood, Benjamin Ward, Dominic Blampied, Anthony Hawkins-Kay, Jake Dunford (WK), Charles Perchard (C), Elliot Miles.
  • TOSS - Up goes the coin and it lands in favour of Jersey. Jersey have won the toss and have elected to bat.
  • Another game of this year's Men's T20 World Cup qualifiers and it is a clash between Jersey and Nigeria. It is a big moment for the latter as for many it is a surprise they made it till here. However, not a lot is expected out of them so they can play with the utmost freedom and you never know, they might just pull off a few upsets. They are up against a side in good form and are also favorites to win this game. However, this could be a tight contest. Stay tuned for the toss and teams in a while.
