  • Now, 135 runs and India will have to share the trophy. If the Protea bowlers can stop run-scoring and take wickets, the Indians can do so too. Will they be able to do so or the South Africans will manage to chase it down with responsible batting? Join us in a while for the run chase.
  • Hendricks is in for a little chat. He says that the wicket did assist him and he tried to extract what was possible. States there was swing in the air and he had to asses the conditions and he is happy he did well. Admits they were struggling in the beginning but they did well to pull things back and they should chase this total down. Further adds he tried to be consistent, he has been a little off his game in the recent past but he is looking to improve with each and every game.
  • The visitors, after a poor start, did well to pull things back. Beuran Hendricks was the star for them as he picked up two wickets and was very economical. He got very good support from Bjorn Fortuin who got two wickets. Phehlukwayo and Shamsi were excellent as well as they made sure easy runs were never on offer. Rabada too ended with good figures, not to forget, he went for 17 in his first over but then did brilliantly well to pull things back.
  • After the wicket of Rohit in the third over of the innings, Dhawan and Kohli added 42 runs at a quick pace. However, after that, the Indians kept losing wickets at regular intervals and could never get going. Kohli played an un-Kohli shot to get out while Rishabh Pant got out the way he does. The middle order of the hosts imploded and the run scoring became tough. Jadeja and Hardik hung around for a while but they could not get the timings right to their shot and could only manage a few runs here and there.
  • The visitors will be mighty pleased with their bowling performance. They have held India to 134 runs which is a way below par total at M.Chinnaswamy.
  • 19.6 A bye to end! A top class last over by Rabada. Just the 6 runs and three wickets from it. Saini makes room and Rabada follows him with a shortish ball. Saini looks to cut but misses. The keeper collects the ball and underarms it at his end but misses. INDIA END WITH 134/9!
  • Navdeep Saini is the last batsman for the hosts.
  • 19.5 OUT! Pandya is a goner! He though had hit that so hard. The ball literally took the fielder off his feet as he caught it. He was well inside the ropes though. This is full and on middle, Pandya smashes it but hits it flat towards long on. Miller there takes it but falls over as he does so. Pandya's uncomfortable stay comes to an end.
  • Deepak Chahar is the new man in.
  • 19.5 OUT! RUN OUT! Sundar has sacrificed his wicket here. A short one down the leg side. Sundar swings but misses. Pandya looks to steal a bye. De Kock throws it to the bowler who scores a direct hit at his end. Sundar is way too short that he has been given out on the field. The umpire signals a wide though.
  • 19.4 FOUR! That is so, so clever! Lovely from Sundar. Just used the pace of the delivery brilliantly. This is short and on middle, WS arches his back and guides it over the keeper for a boundary. A welcome one. They would love one more at least.
  • 19.3 Just a single! Very full and on middle, Pandya whips it but straight towards mid-wicket for one.
  • 19.2 Swing and a miss again by Pandya! Just outside off. HP looks to go over the leg side but misses.
  • Washington Sundar is in with 5 balls left in the innings.
  • 19.1 OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! He took that with so much ease. That is really a tough catch. It went so high, so high, that it almost had snow on it as it came down. A short one on middle, Jadeja is hurried into the pull. He only gets a top edge which lobs beside the pitch. Rabada calls for it and takes an easy catch.
  • 18.6 FOUR! Ends the over with a boundary! Pandya finally gets one off the middle. This is on a length and outside off, Pandya watches it and plays to the merit of the ball. He smashes it past cover and it races away. 9 from the over. India need to end well here. 127/6
  • 18.5 One more slower one on middle, this is fuller. Jadeja hits it through mid-wicket for one. Singles won't harm South Africa at the moment.
  • 18.4 Pandya is looking to hit the ball too hard! Not getting the timing right here. A slower one and shorter in length outside off. Pandya is early in the swing, he ends up mistiming it again through mid-wicket for one.
  • 18.3 Swing and a miss! Outside off, Pandya targets the long on area but only connects with thin air.
  • 18.2 In the air... safe! Shorter in length. Looks to hit it over covers off the back foot but only gets height on it. It lands safe though away from the sweeper and two is taken.
  • 18.1 Just a single! Jadeja comes down the track and mistimes it towards cover for one.
  • Phehlukwayo to bowl out now!
  • 17.6 Shorter and on the body, it is worked through mid-wicket for a run. 118/6
  • 17.5 Bowled into the body of the batter, Pandya is cramped for room. HP pushes it through square leg for one.
  • 17.4 Shorter in length and outside off, Pandya looks to pull but misses.
  • 17.3 A six on the last ball, a single on this one. Around off, Jadeja pushes it towards cover for one.
  • 17.2 SIX! Dismissed! What a shot and a welcome biggie! This is a length ball on middle, Jadeja makes room and lofts it over the bowler's head for a biggie.
  • 17.1 Back of a length on off, this is guided to point. A dot.
  • Rabada is on now!
  • 16.6 One more single! Shorter and on the body, it is pulled through backward square leg for one. End of a brilliant spell by Hendricks. He ends with figures of 4-0-14-2. 109/6
  • 16.5 Cramps the batter for room and bowls it closer to the body. Pandya pushes it down to long on for one.
  • 16.4 Top delivery! A yorker outside off. Pandya can't do a lot there. This time, he fails to jam it out.
  • 16.3 Another single! Jadeja comes down the track and the bowler bangs it short. Ravindra looks to pull but gets an inside edge onto the pads. It rolls on the off side and one is taken.
  • 16.2 Shorter and outside off, Pandya slaps it through covers for one.
  • 16.1 Close shave! Jadeja drops it towards cover and takes off. Pandya responds. Miller gets to the ball quickly and has a shy at the striker's end but misses. Pandya would have been in though.
  • 15.6 Swing and a miss! Way too slow outside off, Pandya is early in his shot and misses. Another good over for South Africa. 104/6
  • 15.5 On off, Pandya pushes it back to the bowler.
  • 15.4 Good length and on off, Jadeja guides it down to third man. He takes the first one hard and thinks of a second but then is sent back.
  • 15.3 Confusion but no harm done! This is on off, Jadeja pushes it towards mid off and sets off. Pandya is not interested as he sees the cover fielder make a good stop by diving to his left but till the time, he gets up and then throws, Jadeja makes it back in.
  • 15.2 On the stumps this time, it is kept out.
  • 15.1 EDGY FOUR! Welcome one! India won't mind how they come as long as they come. Andile goes fuller and outside off, Jadeja pushes at it inside the line but the ball flies off the outside edge and down to the third man fence.
  • Andile Phehlukwayo is back on!
  • 14.6 In the pads, worked towards the leg side for a single. 99/6
  • 14.5 Beaten again! In the channel, closer to off pole. Jadeja again has a poke but is beaten.
  • 14.4 Beaten first up! Hendricks bowls it in the channel outside off, Jadeja has a poke but is beaten.
  • Jadeja is the next batter for India.
  • 14.3 OUT! Another one bites the dust for the hosts. Hendricks continues to impress on his return. Good length ball around off which shapes away and just a hint. Krunal pokes at it and gets an outside edge. De Kock behind the wicket does not miss out to pouch. A huge appeal follows and the umpire after thinking for a while raises his finger.
  • 14.2 Shortish ball outside off, Hardik punches it through covers for a single.
  • 14.1 Good length ball on the fifth stump line, Hardik goes for a drive but misses.
  • Beuran Hendricks into the attack!
  • 13.6 A leading edge! This is floated up on the pads, Krunal looks to flick but ends up a soft leading edge towards point. 97/5
  • 13.5 A dot! Shorter and outside off, Krunal looks to cut but misses.
  • 13.4 On middle, this is worked through square leg for one.
  • 13.3 A good half stop this! This is fuller around off, Krunal strokes it nicely towards cover. The fielder there dives to his left and pushes it towards long off. One taken.
  • 13.2 Loopy ball on off, it is pushed to covers.
  • 13.1 A half stop! Shorter and outside off, Krunal guides it towards backward point. The fielder there dives to his right, gets a hand to it but can't stop two.
  • Shamsi to bowl out!
  • 12.6 A single to end! On the pads, it is worked through square leg for one. 93/5
  • Krunal Pandya is the next man in for India and he has his younger brother at the other end.
  • 12.6 OUT! STUMPED OF A WIDE! Celebrates by pointing towards his head so either this might have been a plan or he might have seen the batter coming down the track. Nevertheless, South Africa have got two wickets in three balls and India have half their side back in the hut. Once again the shot could be questioned, especially after a wicket had just fallen. Iyer comes down the track but Fortuin bowls this down the leg side. Iyer looks to flick but misses. De Kock does well to move to his left, collect the ball and whip the bails off.
  • 12.5 Straightaway goes after the bowler! This is very full, Pandya whips it but towards wide long on for one.
  • Hardik Pandya is in at 6 for the hosts.
  • 12.4 OUT! There goes Pant! He was looking to go after the bowlers after he hit that six and falls in that attempt. Once again an innings which started off in a promising manner ends with a not so impressive score. Fortuin floats it up on off, Pant looks to go big but does not time it well. He ends up slicing it towards long off where Phehlukwayo takes his second catch. So wickets at regular intervals are keeping South Africa ahead at the moment.
  • 12.3 Flatter and quicker and on middle, Iyer somehow gets it down to long on for one.
  • 12.2 Takes a few steps down the track and then gently works it through mid-wicket for one.
  • 12.1 Iyer uses his feet and hits it hard to the long off fielder for one.
  • Bjorn Fortuin to bowl now!
  • 11.6 SIX! Yes he does! The bowler helps him in a way too as he dishes a full delivery on his pads. Pant gets in position and lifts it over fine leg for a maximum. A much-needed one for the hosts as it will release the pressure. 87/3
  • 11.5 Three dots in a row against Pant. Will he go for the hoick now? That's how he works. Length ball, Pant taps it towards point.
  • 11.4 Fuller one around off, Pant guides it towards point and wants a run. Iyer at the other end is not interested.
  • 11.3 Good length ball around off, Pant pushes it towards mid off.
  • 11.2 Short one this time, Iyer works it over cover for a single.
  • 11.1 Good length ball around off, Pant taps it towards cover and takes a quick run. A throw from the fielder at the keeper's end but he misses his shy. Iyer was in anyway.
  • Dwaine Pretorius is on now!
  • 10.6 Bouncer to end the over. Iyer was looking to hammer a pull but gets a bottom edge and the ball goes over the stumps to de Kock. Lucky that it didn't go onto the timbers. 79/3
  • 10.5 Good length ball around off, Iyer taps it towards point.
  • 10.4 Slightly fullish ball outside off, Pant pushes it through point for one.
  • 10.3 Shortish ball around off, Iyer taps it towards third man for a single.
  • 10.2 On the shortish side again but on middle, Pant pulls it behind square for a single.

  • Andile Phehlukwayo to bowl now!
  • 9.6 Very full, almost a yorker. Iyer jams it out towards mid-wicket. 76/3
  • 9.5 The batsman works it down the leg side. One run added to the total.
  • 9.4 Another tossed up ball on off, Pant looks to drive but it turns away and goes off the outer half towards cover.
  • 9.3 Gives it a lot of air on off, this is hit through mid off and Iyer gets off the mark.
  • 9.2 Shorter and on off, Pant goes down on one knee and hits it behind square on the leg side for one.
  • 9.1 Flatter and on off, it pitches and turns away. Pant looks to poke at it but then pulls his bat back.
  • Tabraiz Shamsi is on now!
  • 8.6 A single to end a successful over for South Africa. This is outside off, it is guided down to third man for one. 73/3
  • 8.5 FOUR! Easy-peasy! Rabada looks to bowl a yorker but ends up serving a full toss on middle, Pant whips it through mid-wicket and the ball races away to the fence.
  • 8.4 Good length and on middle, it is defended.
  • Shreyas Iyer is in now! With skipper gone, he needs to play an important knock now.
  • 8.3 OUT! Kohli holes out! Once again the crowd is silenced. An uncharacteristic shot by Kohli, especially after they just lost Dhawan. That though is a top, top catch. This is angled into the batter, it is slightly fuller. Kohli whips it up in the air towards the deep mid-wicket region. Andile Phehlukwayo runs to his left and takes it brilliantly just before the ropes. He keeps his balance too. A much-needed wicket for Rabada. He hasn't been at his best in the overs he has bowled in this series but this should make him feel extremely good. Two wickets in quick succession for the visitors and India are in a spot of bother.
  • 8.2 Drop and run! Good length and on off, Pant pushes it towards cover and takes a quick run.
  • 8.1 This is angled into the batter, Kohli works it through square leg for one.
  • Rabada back on for his second over! 17 came from his first.
  • 7.6 Gives it a lot of air and lands it on off, it is flicked through mid-wicket for one. 66/2
  • 7.5 Floats it up on middle, this is worked through square leg for one.
  • 7.4 Pant uses his feet but then realizes the length is short. Adjusts and guides it to point.
  • 7.3 Shortish and on middle, Kohli pulls it through mid-wicket and takes one.
  • Rishabh Pant at number 4 again.
  • 7.2 OUT! In the air... taken! Shamsi has the last laugh against Dhawan. A very good catch by Bavuma and a welcome wicket for South Africa. Dhawan was really looking in great flow out there. He tries to go big once again as he steps down the track. Does not get to the pitch of the ball but still goes ahead with the shot. It turns away a little and he ends up slicing it high up in the air towards extra cover where Bavuma takes a brilliant catch moving backwards. South Africa will now try and pull things back a little.
  • 7.1 Kohli comes down the track but gets too close to the pitch of the ball. He hits it down to long off for one.
  • 6.6 Shortish one, worked towards long on for a single by the skipper. 62/1
  • 6.5 Flighted ball, pushed uppishly towards mid off for a single.
  • 6.4 Shortish and outside off, Dhawan goes back and taps it towards point.
  • 6.3 FOUR! Fortuin this time floats this on the pads on a fullish length, Dhawan gets in position and slogs it towards the deep square leg fence for a boundary.
  • 6.2 DROPPED! But a very tough chance. Loopy fuller ball this time, Kohli drills it hard but straight to the bowler who looks to catch it but the ball comes too quickly. It hits his palm and pops out. It goes towards the leg side and Kohli takes a run. How costly will this be?
  • 6.1 Shortish ball, Dhawan punches it through mid off for a single.
  • Bjorn Fortuin back on!
  • 5.6 On middle, Kohli hits it back to the bowler. Two dots to end but 13 from the over. Just the one run after going for two sixes on the first two balls. Good comeback. However, India will be the happier side after the Powerplay. They are 54 for 1. 54/1
  • 5.5 Very full and on off, Kohli hits it hard but to mid off.
  • 5.4 Another huge shout but not given! No review too. This is bowled outside the leg pole and it straightens a touch. Dhawan looks to sweep but misses. It hits the pads and rolls on the leg side. A leg bye taken.
  • 5.3 Flatter and on off, Dhawan guides it to point.
  • 5.2 SIX! Over long off this time! This is even better and classier than the last one. Dhawan uses his feet and gets to the pitch of it. He easily lofts it over long off. Times it brilliantly and it goes all the way.
  • 5.1 SIX! Welcome into the attack, Shamsi! That has been smoked! Shamsi tosses this up outside off, Dhawan gets an opportunity to free his arms. He nails it over the long on fence. First of the game.
  • Tabraiz Shamsi to bowl now.
  • 4.6 One more short one and he gets it to bounce at a good height. Dhawan pulls it uppishly but well short of deep square leg. One to end the over. 41/1
  • 4.5 Slightly short but closer to the off pole. Dhawan mistimes his cut to point.
  • 4.4 Slightly shorter and on middle, Kohli is hurried into the pull shot. It goes through mid-wicket for one.

  • 4.1 Well bowled! Sees Dhawan coming down the track and bowls an effort ball. Short and on middle, Dhawan looks to upper cut but misses.
  • 4.1 Another wayward delivery! Maybe Dhawan moving around just spoilt the bowler's length. Dhawan shuffles across and Hendricks ends up bowling it way too wide outside off. It swings away further. De Kock dives to his left and gets a hand to it. Rabada runs to his right and stops it before it crosses the ropes. The batters take two. Also a wide has been signaled.
  • 3.6 A dot to end another good over for India. On a good length and around off, Kohli defends it out. 35/1
  • 3.5 Good batting! Got two boundaries and now pushes this one towards mid off for a single. Sensible batting.
  • 3.4 FOUR! EDGY! No slip in place and a boundary! Dhawan this time uses his feet and also stays leg side of the delivery. He throws his bat at it but the ball flies off the outside edge past de Kock and for a boundary.
  • 3.3 FOUR! That is outrageous! Brilliant from Dhawn. He shuffles across and Phehlukwayo bowls it slightly short on off. Dhawan initially shapes up to pull but then realizes it is not short enough so adjusts and punches it past mid on for a boundary.
  • 3.2 In the air but on the bounce! Outside off, Kohli throws his hands at it. He ends up slicing it on the bounce to third man. One taken.
  • 3.1 A short one to begin with, Dhawan looks to pull but does not get on top of the bounce but still pulls it through square leg for one.
  • Andile Phehlukwayo into the attack!
  • 2.6 A dot to end a top over! Just the two runs from it and a wicket. Good length and on off, Kohli keeps it out. 24/1
  • 2.5 Quick run! A leg bye though! This lands outside off and then jags back in. Hits Dhawan high on the pads. It rolls on the off side. Kohli calls for a run. The fielder from point runs in, picks the ball up and has a shy at the striker's end but misses. Kohli would have been in though.
  • 2.4 Kohli shuffles right across the stumps and works this through mid-wicket to get off the mark.
  • 2.3 On the fuller side again on off, Kohli pushes it to mid off.
  • Skipper Kohli is in early and he arrives with a loud cheer from the crowd.
  • 2.2 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Hendricks makes an impact on his return to the side. Gets Rohit Sharma who fails to make an impact once again. This is a top nut. It is on a good length and on off, it is angling away. Rohit looks to defend but is done in by the angle. It goes off the outside edge low towards widish first slip where Reeza takes it just inches above the ground. Silence here in the stadium and the South Africans are pumped up. They needed a wicket especially after the last over by Rabada.
  • 2.1 Full and outside off, Rohit does not fiddle with it.
  • Beuran Hendricks to bowl now!
  • 1.6 A single to end a long and a very expensive over! Shorter and outside off, Rohit guides it over point. The fielder at third man runs to his right, slides and stops it. A single taken. 17 from this one. 22/0
  • 1.5 Slashes and misses! Drags his length back but offers width. Rohit goes after it but gets beaten.
  • 1.4 FOUR! This is even better! All along the ground! Majestic from Rohit. He keeps it full again but it is a half volley again. Rohit creams it past the diving fielder at mid off for consecutive boundaries. With this boundary, Rohit has gone past skipper Virat Kohli to become the leading run scorer in T20Is.
  • 1.3 FOUR! Classic Rohit Sharma! Rabada has started off really poorly. A half volley outside off. Rohit says thank you very much and just lifts it over covers for a boundary.
  • 1.2 On the pads, this is worked through square leg for one.
  • 1.1 Once again it is on the pads, Dhawan looks to flick but misses to get hit on the pads.
  • 1.1 Another extra! WIDE! 7 runs now and not a legal delivery bowled. Down the leg side again. Wided again.
  • 1.1 FIVE WIDES! That is another erratic delivery from Rabada. This is even worse than the last one. This starts down the leg side and keeps swinging away. Dhawan looks to flick but misses. De Kock dives to his right but only manages a glove to it. It hits the fingertips and goes down the fine leg region. 6 runs and a ball is yet to be bowled in this over.
  • 1.1 WIDE! A wild start by Rabada. He bowls this one down the leg side. Dhawan looks to flick but misses. Wided.
  • Kagiso Rabada to bowl from the other end.
  • 0.6 A dot to end! An excellent comeback after going for a boundary on the first ball. The last ball is bowled on the pads, Rohit works it towards square leg. He wants a run but is sent back. 5/0
  • 0.5 A huge, huge shout! The bowler was actually pleading there but not given. This is flatter and it keeps coming in with the angle from outside off. Rohit fails to get bat on ball and is hit on the pads. A huge appeal but it is turned down. De Kock thinks hard but then does not review. May just have clipped the leg pole. Yes, the Ball Tracker comes in to show that it was clipping the leg pole.
  • 0.4 Good fielding! Miller saves three. This is given air and it lands on off, Dhawan pushes it wide of mid off. Miller moves swiftly to his right, dives and stops it.
  • 0.3 Out comes the shot Dhawan loves playing, a slog sweep but misses to get hit on the pads. A muted appeal but the umpire shakes his head as the ball pitches outside leg.
  • 0.2 Better! Gets it right this time as he fires it on off, Dhawan pushes it to mid off.
  • 0.1 FOUR! India could not have wished for a better start. A poor start by Fortuin. A hit-me ball, short and down the leg side, Dhawan pulls it through backward square leg and gets off the mark in style.
  • Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian openers make their way out to the middle. The South African team are out to the middle too. Dhawan will take the strike first up. Spin to start for the visitors as Bjorn Fortuin will start the proceedings for them.
  • Shreyas Iyer is giving an interview to Murali Kartik. He says he has played so many matches in the Indian T20 League here and he is excited as this is his first game here for India. States it is a good wicket and the crowd is excellent and he is looking forward to play here. States the last game was a bit of ups and downs for them and they have learnt from their mistakes. Informs they have one change, Hendricks comes in for Nortje as a left-arm bowler could come in handy.
  • To everyone's surprise, the Indian skipper opts to bat first. He says that he is aware that his side is a top chasing unit but heading towards the T20 World Cup, the side wants to improve the other aspects as a team. Adds that result will be priority, but the side wants to come out of their comfort zone. Also mentions that they would like to put their bowlers under pressure too. He confirms that they are going with the same XI that played in Mohali.
  • TOSS - Kohli flips the coin and the South African counterpart has called the wrong side of the coin.
  • Pitch Report - Shaun Pollock is in with the pitch report. He starts by saying that the average score here at M.Chinnaswamy is around 180. Sunil Gavaskar joins him and says that the surface is drier and might help the pacers but adds there are cracks which might help the spinners too. Gavaskar feels the toss may not really matter. Pollock says that the surface is quite hard and there will be some spin on offer for the bowlers. Pollock hopes that the rain will stay away from the game. Gavaskar points that dew could be a factor and batting second will be a better idea.
  • Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of the third and final T20I between India and South Africa! The hosts dominated the second T20I and did not even give the Proteas a sniff to have any chance to win the game. Virat Kohli led from the front with a brilliant innings and would look to do the same here. The bowlers were excellent and restricted South Africa to a paltry total. The visitors, on the other hand, were pretty poor in all the departments of the game and have to improve to have any chance to beat this strong Indian team. What will it be? India win or a Proteas fightback!

Further adds he does not have the power like Gayle but his job is to keep the scoreboard ticking. On the six he hit in Mohali, he replies that he surprised himself and realized he can hit the ball a long way. Ends by saying they will get a lot of confidence after this win and it is important as there is a Test series coming up which is not going to be easy.
  • The Indian bowlers can't be blamed a lot as they did not have a lot to defend. They still could have been a lot better with their lines and lengths. In the end, you have to say, the Indians were outplayed in every department tonight. Stay tuned for the presentation in a while. Before that, Bavuma is giving an interview.
  • In the run chase, the South African openers, Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks did an excellent job by adding 76 runs. They were helped by the Indian bowlers who were extremely poor. Every bowler, even the spinners were extremely short which made it easy for the batters to score the runs. Reeza Hendricks did fall after getting a start but de Kock continued and Bavuma also fulfilled his role. The two added another important stand and took their side over the line. De Kock looked absolutely fluent throughout the innings and apart from that missed review chance by the Indians, he did not offer any opening.
  • A comprehensive win for the South Africans. An excellent performance in a must-win game from them. Also, this is de Kock's first win as T20I skipper and he has played an integral part in it. However, a lot of credit has to be given to their bowlers as they set up the game for them. Brilliant efforts from Hendricks, who was brought into the team for this game, the two spinners and Rabada ensured they keep India to a total which was under par.
  • 16.5 SIX! Well, If you don't allow the single to win the game, Bavuma will seal it with a six. Shortish ball on middle, Bavuma stays back and hammers this over the long on fence for a maximum. SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 9 WICKETS AND DRAW THE SERIES 1-1.
  • 16.4 Quicker one on the pads, Bavuma works it towards square leg and looks for a run. Jadeja there hares at the ball and makes sure the batters do not get the winning run with ball in his stride. Excellent work, even after knowing the result. 100 percent commitment.

  • 14.2 The batsman rocks onto the back foot and punches the ball. One run added to the total.

  • 13.6 Fuller around off, Bavuma goes for a reverse sweep but can't connect 113/1
  • 13.5 Beaten this time. A fullish length ball, closer to the off pole. Bavuma plays down the line of the ball but misses.

  • 13.3 On the pads this time, QdK looks to flick but can't connect it well. It lands short of the fine leg fielder. They taken on.

  • 12.4 Angles this one on off from around the wicket. It is kept out.
  • 12.3 FOUR! De Kock wants to end this early now. A boundary after the biggie. This is full and outside off. De Kock lofts it over covers and bags a boundary. Also, de Kock now has 1000 runs in T20Is.
  • 12.2 SIX! He has picked the bones out of that one. Once again this is bowled right in de Kock's zone. Short and on middle, de Kock pulls it with utmost ease over the square leg fence.
  • 12.2 Way too short and outside off. It is left alone. Wided.

  • 11.3 On the pads this time, flicked for a couple through square leg.

  • 10.5 FOUR! Fifty for de Kock, h gets there in style. Consecutive fifties for him and it is his 4th in T20Is. He is really relishing the role of becoming a skipper with the bat. He though would want to continue and probably hit the winning runs which levels the series. He goes inside out to get to the milestone. It is full and outside off. De Kock lofts it over covers and it races away to the fence.
  • 10.5 WIDE! Another slower one outside off, this one grips off the surface and turns away too. It goes outside the tramline and it is wided.
  • 10.4 On off, this is pushed to covers.
  • 10.3 FOUR! Too easy for de Kock. Shorter and on the body, de Kock swivels and pulls it through backward square leg for a boundary. The Indian bowlers have bowled too short to him today and that has played in his hands.
  • 10.2 On the fuller side around off, Bavuma looks to drive but it goes off the outside edge. The batters feel it is a boundary and hence do not run. The third man fielder makes a brilliant stop as he covers a lot of ground to his left, dives and stops it. A single is taken in the end.
  • Temba Bavuma is the next man in for the visitors. A calm innings is the need of the hour for South Africa.
  • 10.1 OUT! That is a stunning catch from Kohli. We saw him take one brilliant catch in the second T20I to dismiss de Kock, this time it is one to dismiss his opening partner. A wicket at last for the Indians but maybe it is a little too late. The bowling change has worked wonders for the Indian side. Pandya makes an impact straightaway. This is short and on middle, it sticks in the surface. Hendricks is early in the shot. He ends up mistiming the shot. It lobs towards mid on where the fielder runs to his right, dives forward and takes it inches above the ground. Finally the crowd has something to cheer about. Also, let me remind you, it was Kohli's brilliant catch in the last game which shifted momentum, are we in for something similar here?
  • Hardik into the attack now! India needs wickets in clusters from him. Can he do that?
  • 9.6 One more single to end! On middle, it is worked towards short fine leg for one. 59 more needed in 10 overs. 76/0

  • 7.6 Good fielding! The extra ball almost cost a boundary there. De Kock plays the reverse sweep and he hits it through point. The fielder in the deep runs to his right, dives and keeps it down to two. An expensive start for Pandya. 75 needed in 72 balls. South Africa's game to lose now. 60/0

  • 5.3 NOT OUT! Yes, going down the leg side. What a waste of the review. Chahar gets this slower one right this time. Hendricks looks to work it down the leg side but is hit on the pads. That looks to be going down the leg side but hello, the skipper however has words with his bowler and then opts for the DRS. Here comes the Ball Tracker and confirms it is going way down the leg side. Kohli has his cap on his face. The ball goes towards square leg and a leg bye has been taken.

  • 5.1 Good length ball outside off, de Kock cuts it through cover-point for a single.
  • 4.6 Dropped? Not sure! Saini though gets away with one here. He bowls it short and way outside off. De Kock slaps it uppishly towards cover. Not sure if it carried or no. • 4.4 Goes short again, de Kock pulls it through square leg, this time along the ground only for one.
  • 4.3 SIX! Not learning is Saini here. This is not the length you bowl to de Kock. It is slightly short and outside off. De Kock feeds on such lengths. He rocks back and pulls it over the square leg fence again. This over probably releases all the pressure that was built.
