  • So India have a lot of time to bat in this innings. They would look to make the most of it and take an unassailable lead in this innings and would like to make it the only innings they bat in. Bangladesh, on the other hand, would try to emulate the Indian bowlers. It won't be an easy task against this juggernaut of a batting side though. Can they restrict India or will India continue to steamroll them? Join us in a while to find out.
  • Hardly anything to talk about Bangladesh's batting. They won the toss but every batter struggled. Mushfiqur Rahim was the highest scorer but had India been at their usual self in the field, then that certainly would not have been the case. Liton and Mominul looked good but could not convert their starts. All-in-all the Bangla batsmen were completely decimated by the Indian bowlers and looked all over the place.
  • India have wrapped up Bangladesh for just 150. Brilliant bowling display from the hosts. They lost the toss but a look at this innings will not make you feel like that. They were just too spicy and too good for the visitors to tackle. The only thing that can be criticized off this innings from the hosts would be their catching. Apart from that they were just so magnificent making Bangladesh work for every single run. The trio of Ashwin, Umesh and Ishant scalped two each whereas Shami had 3. Jadeja was wicket-less but in his defense he just bowled 3 overs.
  • 58.3 OUT! BOWLED! That is the end of the innings! A brilliant delivery to end with from Umesh. He bowls a fullish delivery on off, Hossain looks to defend it but the ball goes past the outside edge and hits the top of off stump. The Indian bowlers have done a terrific job as they have BOWLED OUT BANGLADESH FOR JUST 150.
  • 58.2 Back of a length delivery outside off, Hossain looks to guide this to the off side but misses it altogether.
  • 58.1 Good length ball on off, Abu pushes it to cover and takes a couple. Jadeja gets across from point and tries to throw it to the keeper but does so poorly this time. The batters make it in this time. 150 up for the visitors.
  • 57.6 Fullish delivery on the pads, Abu Jayed digs it out towards mid-wicket. 148/9
  • 57.5 On a length on middle, Abu defends it back to the bowler.
  • 57.4 Good length ball on middle, Jayed defends it off the front foot to cover.
  • 57.3 Beauty! But beats the edge and stumps once again. Good length ball on off, it zips away off the deck. Jayed looks to defend but misses.
  • 57.2 Fuller outside off, it swings away. Abu hangs out his bat and the ball goes past the outside edge.
  • 57.1 Fuller around off, Abu makes room and defends it in a typical tailenders fashion.
  • 56.6 Short delivery on middle, Hossain defends it off the back foot. 148/9
  • 56.5 Played to the point region by the batsman.
  • Ebadot Hossain is the last man in.
  • 56.4 OUT! RUN OUT! This time Taijul does not survive the throw from Jadeja. Islam flicks this good length ball on middle to deep backward square leg and wants a couple. Jadeja at runs to his right and gets to the ball quickly. He send a good throw to the keeper and he whips the bails off. The umpire does not even go to the third umpire and gives it out immediately. The saying stands correct, never try to take an extra run of Ravindra Jadeja's arm.
  • 56.3 RUN OUT CHANCE MISSED! Good length ball on off, Jayed defends it to point and takes off for a single. Taijul, is late in getting off the blocks and Jadeja at point tries to put in a direct hit at the keeper's end. He misses and the ball rolls towards the deep mid-wicket region for a boundary. Had Jadeja hit, Islam was well out. 5 runs added to the Bangladesh's score.
  • 56.2 BEATEN! Umesh bowls a good length ball outside off, Abu makes room for himself towards the leg side to play it to the off side but misses it completely.
  • 56.1 Starts with a good length ball on middle, Jayed defends it out to the off side.
  • Umesh Yadav is back on. 13-3-39-1, his figures so far.
  • 55.6 BEATEN! Brilliant bowling this from Shami! Bowls a full delivery around off swinging into the batsman. Taijul looks to drive but does not account for the swing on it. He misses and the ball just whizzes past the off stump. 142/8
  • 55.5 Good length ball on off, Taijul blocks it out.
  • 55.4 Short ball down the leg side, Taijul looks to pull it but misses it. There is a stifled appeal for caught but nothing from the umpire.
  • 55.3 On a length on middle, Islam defends it back to the bowler of the back foot.
  • 55.2 Full delivery on off, Taijul drives this to cover for nothing.
  • 55.1 Shami does not get the hat-trick! Bowls a good length delivery on off, Taijul defends it off the back foot to cover.
  • Mohammad Shami to bowl from the other end. This will be a hat-trick ball for Shami. Can he get it?
  • 54.6 Full delivery on middle, Jayed does well to defend it. 142/8
  • 54.5 Fullish delivery outside off, Abu plays it towards backward point and takes a couple before Rahane can run after it from gully and cut it off.
  • Ishant has to be cautious now. On the wicket delivery, he was given the final warning for running on the danger area. If he breaches the rule again he will not be allowed to bowl again in this match.
  • 54.4 BEATEN! Good length ball outside off, Jayed looks to guide this one but fails to put any bat on it.
  • 54.3 BOUNCER! A nasty one at that! Ishant bowls it aimed at the body. Jayed does well to sway away from it.
  • 54.2 On a length on off, Jayed defends it off the front foot towards cover.
  • Bangladesh are in deep, deep trouble here and nothing has gone their way apart from the toss. Yes, a few catches have been put down but the visitors have failed to make any use of it.
  • Abu Jayed is the next man in.
  • 54.1 OUT! CAUGHT! What a start to the session for the hosts. They have collected a team hat-trick. Ishant starts with a slightly full length ball outside off. Das, the only recognized batsman out there, looks to defend from within the crease but the ball goes off the outside edge towards Virat Kohli at first slip. He takes it by going down low. Ishant gets his second wicket of the innings.
  • We are back for the final session of the day! Liton Das and Taijul Islam make their way out to the middle. The Indians are also making their way out to the middle. Ishant Sharma will bowl the first over after Tea.
  • ... Day 1, Session 3 ...
  • Bangladesh were good at the start of this session but will be disappointed as they could not make the most of it. They lost the plot completely after Mominul's wicket. Mahmudullah struggled, Liton though has looked good, the worrying sign is he will have to take the mantle here as Mushfiqur and Mehidy also got dismissed right at the end of the session. Can Liton Das find some support and manage to see off the day or will India continue to stamp their authority? Join us after the break to find out.
  • What an end to the session for India! Mohammed Shami two-in-two wickets has ensured that when the hosts come back for the final session of the day, they are into the visitors tail. Bangladesh had started well after Lunch scoring runs at a brisk pace. They were also helped by some poor catching in the field by the Indians. But then, Mominul Haque was castled by Ashwin and that opened the floodgates. Ravichandran Ashwin added one more wicket to his kitty before Shami came back on to pick out 2 more wickets right at the stroke of Tea.
  • 53.6 OUT! LBW! Two-in-two for Shami and he is now on a hat-trick. He will have to wait though as it is also Tea on Day 1. Pacy full ball on off, there is reverse swing on this one. No batsman likes it first up, Mehidy is an unlucky man as he gets this jaffa first up. He looks to play but misses. The ball hits flush on his front pad. The Indian players put in a loud, confident appeal and the umpire is in agreement with him. Mehidy looks at his partner and tries to contact with Liton but Das was busy looking somewhere else. The timer goes to off and Mehidy departs for a golden duck. How unlucky is Mehidy Hasan? Ball Tracker later on rolls in and shows that had Mehidy taken the review he would have survived as the ball was going onto miss the leg pole. 140/7
  • Mehidy Hasan replaces Mushfiqur Rahim out in the middle.
  • 53.5 OUT! Bowled! This is pace bowling at his best! This is a beauty of a delivery. Three outswingers and now the inswinger. Good length ball around off, it comes in venomously. Mushfiqur looks to defend but the ball goes right through the gate of bat and pad. It goes on top of off. A pace bowler's delight. Rahim just looks at the pitch in awe. He cannot do anything off that as this was a ball sent by the pace bowling gods.
  • 53.4 Good length ball outside off, Mushi leaves it alone.
  • 53.3 On the fourth stump line, Rahim leaves it alone.
  • 53.2 Full and swinging away. Mushfiqur lunges forward and leaves it alone.
  • 53.1 On middle and leg, Mushfiqur flicks it to the on side.
  • 52.6 Another gem! Good length ball outside off, it comes in a lot off the deck. Liton leaves it alone and the ball just about misses the off pole. 140/5
  • 52.5 Full outside off, Das drives it to the right of mid off. It comes off the inner half of his bat. Ashwin dives to his right and saves runs for his side.
  • 52.4 Length ball on off, Das defends it off the front foot.
  • 52.3 Length ball outside off, Liton punches it to point.
  • 52.2 On the pads, Rahim looks to flick but the ball goes off his thigh pad and they steal a leg bye.
  • 52.1 Beauty! Ishant has bowled some gems today. Good length ball outside off, it zips in off the deck. Mushfiqur is aware of his stumps and offers a good leave.
  • Ishant Sharma is back on. 10-5-18-1 are his figures so far.
  • 51.6 Uppish but safe. Full outside off, Das looks to drive it on the up. He does not time it well and it goes uppishly to the left of the fielder at point. Ashwin there dives on that side and saves runs for his team. No chance of catching that as the ball had fallen short. 139/5
  • 51.5 Bouncer! Das sees it coming and ducks under it.
  • 51.4 On the pads, Das glances it towards mid-wicket and gets a couple.
  • 51.3 FOUR! Good ball but the shot is an even better one. Full and swinging in. Das gets on his front foot and just drives it with ease off the middle of his bat through mid off for a boundary. Liton has so far looked the most at ease on this pitch today.
  • 51.2 Full and swinging away. Das plays it with the swing towards cover.
  • 51.1 Shami comes back and makes the ball move. Good length ball outside off, it moves away. Liton does not tease that one.
  • Mohammed Shami comes back into the attack. His figures read 9-2-21-1 so far.
  • 50.6 Tossed up on off, Mushfiqur bends his back and defends the ball onto the ground. 133/5
  • 50.5 Flighted on off, Mushfiqur defends it off the front foot.
  • 50.4 Around the pads, Das flicks it to deep square leg for a run.

  • 49.2 Floated on off, Rahim turns it to the on side.
  • 49.1 Tossed up on the stumps, Rahim keeps it out.
  • 48.6 Yorker from Jaddu. It is on off, Liton keeps it out. 130/5
  • 48.5 FOUR! Aggressive shot. A rare full toss from Jadeja on off, Liton smashes it through covers for a boundary.
  • 48.4 Shorter on off, Das keeps it out.
  • 48.3 EDGED AND FOUR! Beauty of a delivery this. Quicker and turning away, Liton looks to defend but the ball spins and takes the outside edge and kisses the pad. It goes between Saha and first slip onto the fence. Jadeja appealed for LBW but the umpire signals it as a boundary. Kohli does not take the review.
  • 48.2 Floated on off and middle, Das keeps it out.
  • 48.1 Jaddu bowls it flatter on middle, Liton taps it back to the bowler.
  • 47.6 Flat delivery outside off, Rahim plays the square cut towards point for nothing. 122/5
  • 47.5 Another full delivery on middle, Liton works it to long on and takes another single. Ashwin tries to stop it with a dive but fails to do so.
  • 47.4 Floated ball outside off, Liton pushes it to mid off.

  • Ravindra Jadeja is finally brought into the attack.
  • 45.6 On the pads, Das turns it to the on side. 119/5
  • 45.5 Shorter on off, Das looks to defend but gets an inside edge onto the pads.
  • 45.4 Floated on off, Das keeps it out.
  • 45.3 Tossed up on middle, Das strokes it to mid on.
  • 45.2 FOUR! Liton is off the mark in style. This will give the Bangladesh's dressing room a lot of confidence. Flighted on off, Das gets on his front foot and creams his drive through covers for a boundary.
  • Liton Das is the new man in.
  • 45.1 OUT! BOWLED! Mahmudullah's struggling innings comes to an end. Ashwin has not had a lot of help from his slip fielders so he has decided to do the damage all by himself here. Straighter one on off, Mahmudullah looks to sweep but misses the straighter one completely. He gets too far across and the ball goes onto hit the off pole. Bangladesh in trouble here as half their side are back in the hut.
  • 44.6 Another good length ball on middle, Mushfiqur defends it back to the bowler. 115/4
  • 44.5 Good length ball on off, defended back to the bowler by Rahim.

  • 43.5 Flighted on off, Mushfiqur keeps it out.
  • 43.4 Floated on middle and off, Mahmudullah nudges it to long on for one.
  • 43.3 Dropped! This is a genuine sitter and Rahane is having a torrid time here at slips. Excellent ball from Ashwin. Gives this air and draws the batsman forward. Mahmudullah lunges forward to defend but gets a thick outside edge. The ball kisses the thigh pad of Saha and goes to the left of Rahane at first slip. He gets his hand to it but the ball just won't stick and it comes out yet again. Third catch dropped by Rahane, very seldom you see this from Kohli's Test deputy. India have been sub-par in the field today. Mahmudullah has not had the best of starts here but he is getting his chances here and needs to make them count.
  • 43.2 Tossed up on off, Mahmudullah defends it off the front foot.
  • 43.1 Floated on off, Mushfiqur flicks it wide of the diving mid on fielder and gets a single.

  • 41.2 Tossed up on off, Rahim pushes it back to the bowler.
  • 41.1 Flatter around off, Mushfiqur dabs it wide of first slip.
  • Drinks Break! A hour which has gone both ways. Bangladesh started well after Lunch getting some quick runs but they would be disappointed with the wicket of Mominul Haque just at the stroke of Drinks. Mushfiqur Rahim is going strong for them at one end and he would look for a big score here. India, on the other hand, still remain ahead in the game and they would look to pick up further wickets. Ashwin and Ishant have bowled well but have not been able to find the edges.
  • Mohammed Shami is seen going out of the ground for some reason. Shubman Gill replaces him on the field.

  • 39.5 Shorter on off, Mushfiqur blocks it.
  • 39.4 On the pads, Rahim turns it to square leg.
  • 39.3 Floated outside off, Rahim plays it to point.
  • 39.2 DROPPED! Tough chance but one has to say lady luck is going Mushfiqur's way! Short and quicker around off. It turns in sharply. Rahim looks to defend with a slant bat but the ball kisses his glove and goes to the keeper sharply at an awkward height. It hits Saha on his pad and lobs away. He cannot hold onto it. Ashwin knows that it is a very difficult chance and hence no big disappointment from him.
  • 39.1 Floated on off, Rahim keeps it out.
  • 38.6 Length ball on off, Mahmudullah tucks it to the on side. End of an exciting over from Ishant. 100/4

  • 38.3 Good length ball on middle and off, Mahmdullah looks to defend but misses. The ball hits him high on his pad. There is a confident appeal but umpire Erasmus says no. The Indians think about the review but Kohli thinks it is too high and they do not review it. The Ball Tracker later on shows that the Indian skipper was indeed right as it would have gone onto miss the stumps.
  • 38.2 Back of a length ball on off, Mahmudullah defends it off the front foot.
  • 38.1 Bouncer! A well directed one. Mahmudullah ducks under it.
  • 37.6 Ambitious and risky from Mahmudullah. Tossed up on off, Mahmudullah comes down the track and flicks it uppishly off his inner half of his bat towards deep mid-wicket for a single. He keeps the strike and that run also brings up the 100 for Bangladesh. 100/4

  • 37.4 Another one around the pads, Mahmudullah cannot go past the fielder with his flick.
  • 37.3 Tossed up on middle, Mahmudullah flicks it to square leg.
  • 37.2 Floated on off, Mahmudullah defends it off the front foot.
  • Mahmudullah replaces his skipper out in the middle.
  • 37.1 OUT! Bowled! Ashwin strikes. Fourth wicket and the fourth bowler to get it. A terrible leave this from the skipper. He won't look at this fondly. The budding stand has been broken by Ashwin. How many times have we seen that? Floated on off, Mominul thinks this one would spin away and leaves it alone. The ball though straightens after pitching and goes onto hit the off pole. A slight lapse of concentration from the Bangladesh skipper has brought his downfall. He will be gutted with it. This is the 250th home scalp for India's new spin king, Ravichandran Ashwin.
  • 36.6 Full again to end the over. Another inswinger on middle and off, Rahim flicks it to mid-wicket. 99/3

  • 35.6 Follows the boundary with calm and easy flick. 98/3
  • 35.5 FOUR! Excellently played. He played this shot in the first T20I at critical junctures and he has played it well here as well. Floated on off and middle, Rahim premeditates his paddle sweep and executes it well fine down the leg side for a boundary.
  • 35.4 Tossed up on off, Mushfiqur nudges it to mid on.
  • 35.3 Shorter on off, Rahim turns it to short leg.
  • 35.2 Floated on off, Mushfiqur defends it off the back foot.
  • 35.1 Ashwin gives this air and bowls it full outside off, Mominul strokes it to sweeper cover for a single.
  • 34.6 Good length ball on middle, Haque flicks it towards square leg and takes a single. 93/3

  • 33.2 SIX! Beautiful use of the feet from Rahim! Ashwin bowls a flighted delivery on middle, Mushfiqur comes down the track and plays it over the bowler's head for the first maximum of the game. 50-run stand comes up between these two. They need to carry on though as the job is not even half done here.
  • 33.1 Flighted ball on middle, Rahim flicks it to short fine leg.
  • 32.6 FOUR! Good shot! Full delivery on middle, Haque flicks it through the deep square leg region and takes a boundary. 78/3

  • After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bangladesh struggled to get going. Both their openers, Shadman and Kayes, struggled in the middle but it looked like they would somehow manage to survive the danger phase but that was not to be as Umesh and Ishant sent both the openers back to the pavilion. Mithun and Mominul then tried to steady the ship but the former could not last long. Rahim joined his skipper and though he has ridden his luck, he has managed to take his side to Lunch without any more casualties. The skipper has looked good and Bangladesh will be hoping that these two can build on their 32-run stand post Lunch and take the visitors to a good total.
  • No doubt to whom this session belonged to! The Indians have been in top gear and this session was an exhibition of how good their pace bowling attack is. Shami appeals and the umpire gives it out immediately. Both the batsmen are now having a chat to discuss the review but decide against it. The T.V umpire after having a couple of looks rolls in the Ball Tracker. It shows that the impact was umpire's call though the pitching was on line and the ball would have hit the stumps. Under a new captain, Mominul Haque, the visitors would hope for a good performance in order to have any chance to beat this strong Indian side. They are without their key players as Tamim Iqbal ruled himself out while Shakib Al Hasan has been banned from all forms of cricket. Although, the odds are heavily in favour of the hosts, the Bangla Tigers are capable of putting in a surprise. India, on the other hand, have been dominant in the ICC Test championship so far beating the West Indies and the Proteas in their previous assignments. They have never lost a Test match to Bangladesh and would hope to continue that run in this series as well. Their bowling has worked wonders and is in red-hot form at the moment. Will the Bangla Tigers spring in a surprise or will the hosts continue to dominate? Toss and team updates in a while.

They would need their experienced players to come good and put on a show to try and save this Test match. • Welcome to the coverage of Day 3 of the first Test between India and Bangladesh. With a massive lead of 343 and 3 days of play left in this game, the question on everyone's mind is when will Kohli declare? The hosts have enough runs and more than ample time to take 10 wickets. The way they attacked in the final session would suggest that India might not even bat to start the day. But the hosts might let Bangladesh take the field and demoralise their fragile confidence even further. The visitors will have to bat out of their skins if they are to bow down with some respectability but before that they need to keep their heads strong and not get demotivated if they are asked to bowl today. Only a miracle can see them salvage anything out of this Test. With India in a position to call all the shots in this game, what will their decision be? Join us in a while to find out.

  • Mayank Agarwal is down for an interview with Deep Dasgupta. He says that letting go of the fear of failure made him change his mindset and after that, he got hungrier for runs. Adds that there have been times when he didn't get runs so he wants to make most of his batting form by scoring big. Further says that playing his first game in Melbourne was special and helping his side win the game was a great feeling. Adds that the plan was to build partnerships and once that happened, they looked to get quick runs. Says that he backs himself to hit the biggies. Informs that they have not thought about the declaration yet but they are in the driver's seat.
  • The Bangladesh bowlers gave everything out there but except for Jayed, no other bowler looked threatening. Their spinners were actually played out with a lot of ease. Hasan did take a wicket but he went for almost 5 runs per over. Ebadot bowled a lot of overs but only had one wicket to his name. A very tiring day for them and one which they would like to forget.
  • Today was all about Agarwal though! The Indian opener is enjoying a golden patch in his career, especially in the first innings of a Test match. He has consistently scored well in the first innings of a Test match but today was something special. The way he attacked, the ease with which he was batting was just brilliant. He was well supported by Rahane and then Jadeja. The former missed out on a well-deserved ton whereas Jadeja has remained unbeaten at the end of the day. Umesh Yadav too enjoyed himself with the bat as he walked out to the middle before Ashwin and hit the ball to all parts of the ground. Overall, they have made the Bangladesh players toil really hard in the field and the visitors will be mentally and physically drained.
  • WOW! What an entertaining half-hour of play did we witness in the end! Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja both have a smile as they walk off the field and rightly so. The duo has added 39 in 19 balls and has stretched the lead close to 350. Don't think we need to mention which team is on top, it is quite obvious that when one side scores more than 400 runs in a day, they have to be in the driver's seat.

A 300 was there for the taking but Mayank was playing for the cause of the team and perishes in doing so. A little too late for Bangladesh as this game has way beyond them to make a comeback. Just as Agarwal walks back to the pavilion, the Bangladesh players shake hands with the Karnataka batsman.

  • ... Day 2, Session 3 ...
  • What a session for India! They are in the driver's seat as the lead is above 150 and they are still a long way from being done. The session started with Agarwal and Rahane continuing from where they left off before the Lunch break. The former got to his ton and the latter to his half ton and are going from strength to strength. Also, they have upped the ante a little. • After bundling Bangladesh for a mere 150 runs on Day 1, an unbeaten 72-run stand between Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara saw the Indians dominate. The pacers made the ball talk as Shami led the pack with a 3-fer. The visitors removed the in-form Rohit Sharma early with the ball but they could not pick another wicket as both Agarwal and Pujara got themselves in. And, once that happened, runs came thick and fast for the hosts. Mayank Agarwal got a life when Imrul Kayes dropped a sitter in the slips and the opener since then did not allow another opportunity. Pujara, on the other hand, has looked at his fluent best, scoring runs at a brisk pace. Now, how will Day 2 pan out? Indian skipper Virat Kohli had reckoned that the surface will be best for batting from the second day. With 9 wickets intact, Kohli's men would want to post a mountain in front of the visitors to bat them out and then look to bundle them again. Will they be able to do that or will the Bangladeshi bowlers be able to put the hosts under pressure with quick wickets? We will soon find out. Welcome to our coverage of the second day of this Test match.
  • ... Day 2, Session 1 ...
  • So that is it from the first day of the first Test. India will look to further strengthen their grip on this match while Bangladesh will hope that a new day brings a change in their fortune. They would look to fight back and present a better challenge. The question is can they? Join us on Friday, 15th November for Day 2. The play will begin at 0930 local (0400 GMT). Till then, cheers!
  • One of the stars with the ball for India, Mohammed Shami is caught down for a chat with Sanjay Manjrekar. Shami says that he looks at the conditions and then decides what line to bowl on this wicket. Says he looks to use the width of the crease well. Adds that he enjoys taking wickets for the team and thinks bowling tight lines and lengths are the key to getting wickets.
  • A tiring and forgetful day for the visitors. They struggled with the bat and barring the wicket of Rohit Sharma, they have had nothing to cherish with the ball. The bowlers have had to toil hard and with a below-par score on the board that is always a struggle for the bowlers. They though need to keep their focus and come back stronger on Day 2.
  • After bundling out Bangladesh for just 150 courtesy of a 3-fer from Shami and 2 wickets a piece for Ashwin, Umesh and Ishant. The hosts did not get off to a good start with the bat as they lost Rohit Sharma early. Mayank Agarwal rode his luck as Imrul Kayes dropped a sitter at first slip late in the evening.

India Vs Bangladesh Live Score (TEST) Ball by Ball Commentary

  • So that is it from this game. India continue their dominance with a demolishing win over Bangladesh. They continue their unbeaten run in the World Test Championship. We are not done with the series as we now move to Kolkata for the first ever Day-Night Test match to be played by India. Kohli and co. will look to convert their red ball dominance into Pink ball as well. Bangladesh, on the other hand, will look to put on a better display and stun the home crowd by drawing the series. The historic pink ball Test will begin on Friday, 22nd November. The match will begin at 1300 local (0730 GMT). Join us for that one. Till then, cheers!
  • For his brilliant innings of 243, Mayank Agarwal has been named the Man of the Match. On being told that he has had this smile for a year now, Mayank smiles and says that he hopes that the smile continues for a longer period. Tells he practices but not much as they play the shorter formats as well. Agarwal feels proud to represent India. Says it is great to have someone who wants you to get more runs than himself as Kohli wanted him to get to a double ton when he reached 150 for the first time in Tests. On being asked whether he has had any practice with the pink ball, Mayanak informs they had three sessions of practice with Rahul Dravid.
  • Indian skipper, Virat Kohli says that it has been a clinical performance. Says that they played with 5 batters and it was a very professional performance. On his pace bowling options, Kohli says they are at the top of their game and feels they bowl excellently on any surface. Says that Bumrah is not here at the moment and when he joins it would look more lethal. On the records, Kohli says they have not focused on it and they are just looking to get the team as high as possible and inspire the up and coming Indian players. Tells when a young guy comes into the team he knows how important it is to get big runs and how difficult it is to get big runs so he just looks to lay the marker so that the new batters can keep their guard and focus on getting the runs while they are in the zones. On playing pink ball cricket next, Kohli tells he is very excited and proud to be the first Indian side to play the Day-Night Test.
  • Bangladesh skipper, Mominul Haque says that it was difficult as they won the toss and decided to bat first. On the positives, Mominul says that the bowling of Abu Jayed along with the performance of Rahim and Liton are the positives. Feels that it is a challenge for the top order to score some runs and realse the pressure on the middle order batsmen.
  • We all know who the Man of the Match will be but stayed tuned for the presentation as we hear from the captains and find out who our Man of the Match will be.
  • Ishant jokes and says that the other faster bowlers don't treat him as senior. Further adds that there is no difference between a senior and a junior as they try to make each other comfortable. • With a massive deficit, Bangladesh needed to their openers to fight it out but the opening pair of Kayes and Shadman failed to do that and were unable to hang out there for long. Just like the first innings, the top-order did not put up a fight and for a moment it looked like they would struggle to get into second session with any mainstay batters. But Mushfiqur Rahim hung around with Mahmudullah. Mahmudullah though could not fight for long. Liton and Rahim then counter-attacked the Indian bowlers. Mushfiqur then put up a fight with Mehidy Hasan but the task in hand was too much and Rahim's fighting 64 was not enough for Bangladesh to avoid an innings defeat.
  • After deciding to declare after an overnight lead of 343, the hosts started off with the ball in a magnificent fashion. The opening bowling pair of Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma got rid of the Bangladesh's openers.
