  • 174 to win. What do you reckon? Probably 50 runs short. Bangladesh have quality spinners in their ranks but India have batsmen who play spin quite well. However, if they can get rid of the top 3 quickly, the spinners might just test the nerves of the unexposed middle order. Join us back at 1945 local (1545 GMT) for the run chase.
  • Hard to find any positives in this batting by Bangladesh. They struggled in the heat and were 7 down with the score just touching 100. Mehidy Hasan and skipper Mortaza then gutsed it out to give some sort of a target else it would actually have been a cakewalk. It still looks like one - but at least, if a couple of quick wickets go early, then Bangladesh will feel they have some sort of a chance.
  • There were other contributions too - Bhuvi being accurate with his 3-fer while Bumrah grabbed 3 as well. Strangely, and that too, as a moral victory for Bangladesh, 'KUL-CHA' went wicketless. Yet, they could not even touch 200. Such is the strength of this Indian bowling line-up.
  • Talk about Jadeja, here he is - being interviewed by Russel Arnold. He says that he is really happy to perform so well in his comeback game. Mentions that he was not focusing on his no balls and his foot just went out of the crease. Adds that he was thinking where to ball to Shakib Al Hasan as he was eyeing to hit him over mid-wicket. On being asked about the run chase, Jadeja is confident about India's batting line-up and is gung-ho that they will chase this total down.
  • By no means is this a match-winning total but to get to 173 from 101/7 is a good effort. At least, Bangladesh have played till the 50th over. Another clinical bowling display by the Indians. It was Ravindra Jadeja's 4-fer which demolished the opposition in reality. No batsman was able to answer his accurate lines and lengths and ended up losing their wickets.
  • 49.1 OUT! All out with 5 balls to spare. A short ball, as has been the case in these last few deliveries, Mustafizur backs away, looks to pull but all he gets is a top edge. The ball has gone nowhere and Shikhar Dhawan takes it calmly at extra cover. BANGLADESH HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 173.
  • 48.6 Punched off the back foot by the batsman. 10-1-32-3 for Bhuvi tonight. 173/9
  • 48.5 Ball strikes the batsman on his hand, it could be nasty.
  • 48.4 Another short ball, following the batsman, Mustafizur backs away, looks to hook and gets a massive top edge. The ball is high in the air but nowhere near square leg. It drops safely and the batsmen take a run.
  • 48.3 TOP EDGE, DROPPED! Very tough chance and an excellent attempt by Ravindra Jadeja. A short ball outside off, Rubel backs away and then attempts the pull. He gets a top edge which goes high in the air. Jadeja runs quickly to his left from backward point and it is actually backward, which makes it even more difficult. Still, he manages to get his fingertips to the ball but it does not stick. A single taken.
  • 48.2 A short ball outside off, Rubel looks to pull but misses. Well, Snickometer shows a spike when ball passes bat! No one appealed...
  • 48.1 Full and outside off, pushed through mid on for a single.
  • 47.6 A length ball outside off, Rubel flays it towards mid off. He wants the single, is halfway down the track but is sent back. 170/9
  • 47.5 A pinpoint yorker, on off, Rahman backs away and digs it out to cover. A single taken.
  • 47.4 Full and outside off, Mustafizur swings wildly but misses.
  • 47.3 Pushed to the cover region by the batsman.
  • Rubel Hossain is the last man in. Can 10 and 11 bat out 16 balls?
  • 47.2 OUT! Mehidy holes out. He had to go for it, given that only two wickets were left. A length ball, outside off, Hasan looks to slog across the line but is done in by the off cutter. There is less power in that shot and Shikhar Dhawan comes running in from deep mid-wicket to take a simple catch. This 42 from 50 has given Bangladesh some respectability at least.
  • 47.1 Full and wide outside off, Mehidy reaches out and slices it over point. Jadeja is quick to get across, slides but while trying to pick the ball up, he fumbles and the batsmen take the second.
  • 46.6 The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground. 2 sixes, followed by 4 dots which also includes a wicket. 9-1-29-3 so far. 167/8
  • 46.5 Very full, almost a yorker, outside off, Rahman just about digs it out.
  • 46.4 Outside off, punched to the off side.
  • Mustafizur Rahman walks out at number 10, replacing his skipper.
  • 46.3 OUT! Caught at short fine leg. Mortaza departs and the excellent stand is broken. Walks across his sticks, takes the ball on the full and then tries to help it over short fine leg but does not get the elevation. Jasprit Bumrah over there times his jump to perfection and that ends the story. A superb partnership of 66 from 79 balls comes to an end. At least gives some respect to the total.
  • 46.2 SIX! And more! Bhuvi dishes out a length ball now, once again Mortaza backs away and hammers it. This time in front of the sightscreen!
  • 46.1 SIX! CLUBBED! A short ball outside off, Mortaza has a mighty heave-ho and clubs it over wide long on!
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back on. 8-1-17-2 so far.
  • 45.6 Outside off, Mortaza backs away, then guides it towards point for a quick run. 155/7
  • 45.5 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot.
  • 45.4 A short ball, following the batsman, Mashrafe backs away and looks to pull but misses and is hit on the box.
  • 45.3 Gets across and misses a full ball, which is dead straight. Is hit on the pads but for some reason, there is no LBW appeal. The batsmen take a single as the ball drops down beside the pitch on the leg side. Now we know the reason for no appeal. Inside edge.
  • 45.2 Outside off, dabbed to third man for a single.
  • For a second, it seemed like Mortaza was going off. However, the next moment, he takes strike, ready to play.
  • 45.1 OUCH! That would have hurt. A short ball outside off, Mortaza goes for the pull but misses and is hit on the thighs. He seems to be in discomfort, with the physio out to check.
  • Jasprit Bumrah is back on. 7-1-31-1 so far.
  • 44.6 On middle and leg, nudged fine down the leg side for a run. 10-0-40-0 tonight for Chahal tonight. 152/7
  • 44.5 50-RUN STAND! Some positive at last for Bangladesh. It has taken a longgggg time coming but it has come at last. Full and outside off, Mehidy dabs it towards short third man and takes the single. It has taken just 69 balls, so a more than decent effort.
  • 44.4 Full on middle, paddled straight to short fine leg.
  • 44.3 Comes down the track as well, looks to flick but is not to the pitch of the ball and is hit on the pads.
  • 44.2 Comes down the track, takes it on the full, reaches out and drags it towards long on for a run.
  • 44.1 A short ball, on middle, punched down to long on for a single.
  • 43.6 Another excellent shot. Dug in short, Mehidy swivels, gets on top of the bounce and pulls it towards long leg for a run. 148/7
  • 43.5 A short ball, around middle, Mehidy looks to pull but misses.
  • 43.4 The batsman guides it to third man. They pick up a single.
  • 43.3 Outside off, punched through mid on for a run.
  • 43.2 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 43.1 Full and outside off, driven straight down the ground.
  • 42.6 Played to the point region by the batsman. 11 from the over. Some momentum for Bangladesh. 144/7
  • 42.5 SIX! What a lovely shot! Mehidy, take a bow. With the pitch turning, he is not afraid to attack the spinners. Jumps out, gets to the pitch of the ball and smashes the ball over extra cover. The ball goes all the way! Moves to 35 from 39 balls. The stand is worth 43 from 57 deliveries.
  • 42.4 On middle, flicked away for one.
  • 42.3 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. One run added to the total.
  • 42.2 Floated on middle, Mehidy gets down and gently paddles it through fine leg for a couple.
  • 42.1 Outside off, punched through the leg side for a single.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal to bowl his penultimate over.
  • 41.6 Full and outside off, driven straight to mid off. 133/7
  • 41.5 That ball has taken the inside edge of the batsman and thudded into his pads. A strong appeal from the bowler and fielders. The umpire isn't interested in the appeal.
  • 41.4 Waits for the ball to come to him and dabs it to third man for a run.
  • 41.3 Short and outside off, cut straight to point.
  • 41.2 The batsman fails to put bat on ball.
  • 41.1 Excellent fielding! Rohit and all the Indians have been brilliant on the field today. Well, barring perhaps Chahal. Short and outside off, Mortaza crunched this through the covers but the Indian skipper threw himself to his right and made a brilliant stop.
  • 40.6 The batsman failed to make contact and was hit low on the pads. Excellent spell from Kuldeep. Wicketless but effective. 10-0-34-0 tonight. 132/7
  • 40.5 TOP EDGE, SAFE... The googly, outside off, a touch wide, Mortaza look to go inside out but gets a top edge. The ball swirls in the air but does not carry to Yuzvendra Chahal at point. A single taken.
  • 40.4 Full and outside off, squeezed through point for a single.
  • 40.3 Gets down to paddle but misses and is hit on the chest. An LBW appeal ensues but that was too high.
  • 40.2 Full and straight, flicked straight to short mid-wicket.
  • 40.1 Full and outside off, Mehidy reaches out and squeezes it through the vacant slip region towards third man. Two runs taken.
  • POWERPLAY 3 indeed is on. Did not seem like it would come, a few overs ago. 5 fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle now.
  • 39.6 On middle and leg, helped through the leg side for a single. 128/7
  • 39.5 Played through mid-wicket by the batsman.
  • 39.4 SIX! CLOBBERED! The first biggie of the match. Chahal kept tossing it up and eventually Mehidy connected with one of his slog sweeps. Wayyy it sailed over mid-wicket. Mehidy moves to 22 from 27 balls.
  • 39.3 Played through mid-wicket by the batsman.
  • 39.2 This is wider than the previous one, Hasan looks to play the slog sweep but misses.
  • 39.1 Oh my my! What a delivery. Chahal tosses this one on middle and Mehidy gets ready to play the slog sweep. But at the last possible moment, he realizes that the length is too full to play and somehow gets his bat down to jam the ball out.
  • 38.6 Full and outside off, Mortaza presses forward to defend, gets an outside edge but it dies down in front of a diving first slip. 121/7
  • 38.5 Punched off the back foot by the batsman.
  • 38.4 The googly again. Pitched outside off, Mortaza comes forward to defend but is comprehensively beaten.
  • 38.3 Dropped short, the googly, Mehidy rocks back and unleashes the pull over mid-wicket. Just a single though.
  • 38.2 The batsman works it down the leg side.
  • 38.1 Full and outside off, watchfully defended.
  • 37.6 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot. 120/7
  • 37.5 Pushes it down the ground to long on for a run.
  • 37.4 The batsman has driven it through mid off.
  • 37.3 Full and outside off, driven straight to mid off.
  • 37.2 The batsman plays it with an angled bat and guides it to third man.
  • 37.1 Full and around off, watchfully defended.
  • Spin from both ends. Yuzvendra Chahal is back on. 6-0-17-0 so far.
  • 36.6 The batsman has played it fine down the leg side. The batsmen have picked up a couple of runs. 119/7
  • 36.5 The batsman fails to put bat on ball.
  • 36.4 Reaches out, takes it on the full and sweeps it through fine leg for a single.
  • 36.3 Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat.
  • 36.2 The googly, outside off, Mashrafe does not pick it. He plays at it pretty loosely and the ball goes off the face of the bat, in the air, but wide of the bowler towards long off. A single taken.
  • 36.1 Full and around off, watchfully defended.
  • Kuldeep Yadav is back on. 7-0-25-0 so far.
  • 35.6 FOUR! 'THE UPAR CUT', says Brett Lee on air. In Hindi, upar means upper. One more short ball outside off, Mehidy arches back and deftly guides it over the leaping Shikhar Dhawan at wide first slip to the third man fence. Moves to 13 from 13 balls with his second boundary. 115/7
  • 35.5 Another short ball, outside off, coming in, Hasan ducks. The umpire signals one bouncer for the over.
  • 35.4 The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads for a single.
  • Rohit Sharma is back on the field. So Gabbar can go back to relaxing on the field. Captaincy is back with the 'Hitman.'
  • 35.3 Outside off, steered to third man, a bit uppishly, behind point for a single.
  • 35.2 Around off, watchfully defended.
  • 35.1 FOUR! Welcome back into the attack! On a length, around middle and leg, Mehidy flicks it over square leg. No one in the deep and it is a boundary.
  • Jasprit Bumrah is back on. 6-1-25-1 so far. If India manage to bowl Bangladesh out before 1830 local, they might come out to bat for around 15-20 minutes. Then the Dinner break will be taken.
  • 34.6 Shortish again but this time it is outside off, Mortaza drops his wrists to let it be. 105/7
  • 34.5 A sharp short ball around off, seaming in. Mortaza is in an uncomfortable position and somehow sways away from the line of the ball.
  • 34.4 Kumar continues to bowl it full around the tight off stump channel. Mehidy eases it through covers to rotate strike.
  • 34.3 Pitched up ball around off, Mehidy prods forward and defends it stoutly.
  • 34.2 Dhoni has come up to the stumps and Bhuvi bowls a full length ball on middle and off. Hasan clips it aerially past the diving short mid-wicket fielder for a couple.
  • 34.1 On a length around off, Hasan hangs back and defends it solidly.
  • 33.6 Floated outside off, Hasan drives it to sweeper cover for a run. Jadeja doesn't get a 5-wicket haul but he has inflicted a lot of damage on Bangladesh. He finishes with figures of - 10-0-29-4. A brilliant comeback for him. 102/7
  • 33.5 Tossed up generously on a full length on off, squeezed out to covers.
  • 33.4 The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 33.3 Floated on middle and leg, kept out watchfully.
  • Mehidy Hasan comes in at number 9. Surely the tail now?
  • 33.2 OUT! Another one bites the dust! Mosaddek's sluggish knock comes to an end. Jadeja meanwhile is having a ball out there, gets a 4-fer to his name. He tosses this one up and drags his length back this time. Hossain kneels on one knee and tries to slog sweep it across but he is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. It turns away after landing and takes the top edge of his bat. Dhoni behind the stumps is safe as a house. Can Ravindra finish with a 5-wicket haul?
  • 33.1 Tossed up delivery, defended solidly off the front foot.
  • 32.6 On a length around off, watchfully defended. Just a run and a wicket from the over, Bhuvi's figures read 5-1-9-2 so far. 101/6
  • We are into the tail now. Mashrafe Mortaza comes out to bat at number 8, replacing Mahmudullah. Ahhh... my colleague tells me I am too harsh. Mortaza does not come in the tail. Ok... point accepted, mate.
  • 32.5 OUT! Mahmudullah has been adjudged LBW. He wants a review straightaway but he is informed there isn't any left! Mithun has already used it up. Mahmudullah is frustrated. And replays show why. Bhuvi lands this outside off, on a length and gets it to come back in a long way. Mahmudullah comes half-forward to defend but misses and is hit on the pads. The bowler appeals, the umpire takes his time and then raises his finger! Ahhh.... replays show a thick inside edge. Unlucky Mahmudullah. Unlucky Bangladesh. But that is how the game goes. The 36-run stand is finally broken.
  • 32.4 Outside off, played towards point.
  • 32.3 Landed outside off, dabbed to third man for a single.
  • 32.2 Outside off, a touch wide, Mosaddek looks to flay it through the off side but is beaten by the lack of bounce.
  • 32.1 Short and outside off, punched straight to cover.
  • Double change. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back on too. 4-1-8-1 in his opening spell.
  • 31.6 Full and outside off, pushed through the covers for a quick single. The crowd cheers as BANGLADESH'S 100 IS RAISED. If... if... if... Bangladesh bat out their 50 overs, can they reach 200? May not be enough but could be competitive. 100/5
  • 31.5 Massive LBW shout but that was pitching outside leg. Jadeja was screaming his lungs out while Dhoni was the least bit bothered. Hossain lunged to defend but missed and was hit on the pads.
  • 31.4 The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 31.3 Full and outside off, driven straight to cover.
  • 31.2 'YOURS!!!' shouts Dhoni as Mosaddek drives it back to Jadeja.
  • 31.1 Full and around off, defended watchfully.
  • Ravindra Jadeja is back on. 8-0-27-3 so far.
  • 30.6 Pitched around off, Mahmudullah looks to defend but misses and is hit high on the pads. 99/5
  • 30.5 FOUR! Now Kuldeep reacts by dropping it short and overcompensates. Just what Mahmudullah wanted. Goes back and punches it through the covers for successive boundaries.
  • 30.4 FOUR! A BOUNDARY AFTER 59 BALLS. That will come as some sort of a relief for Bangladesh. Tossed up, outside off, Mahmudullah gets down and reverse sweeps it past short third man! Moves to 21 from 47 balls with his second boundary. The stand moves to 30 from 76 balls.
  • 30.3 The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground.
  • 30.2 Around off, pushed towards point.
  • 30.1 The googly, a tad short, outside off, Mosaddek picks it and pulls it down to long on for a single. Moves to 10 from 32 balls.
  • 29.6 Outside off, angled in on a length, played straight to point. 90/5
  • 29.5 Goes for the yorker, gets it too full, Mahmudullah clips it through mid-wicket. The batsmen take the second on the throw and a direct hit could have made things interesting at the bowler's end.
  • 29.4 Very tight, angled in from outside off, Mahmudullah is rock solid in defense.
  • 29.3 Played to the point region by the batsman.
  • Now we see Rohit off the field. Shikhar Dhawan is the acting captain.
  • 29.2 Full and outside off, pushed through the covers for a single.
  • 29.1 On a length around off, watchfully defended.
  • 28.6 The batsman defends it from within the crease. 87/5
  • 28.5 Outside off, the batsman has no clue, how to pick the googly or the leg spinner, this is the former. Mahmudullah initially commits to play, but then bails out.
  • 28.4 Misfield. Chahal is the man. Short and outside off, Mahmudullah punches it towards point where Yuzvendra Chahal gets across, puts in a slide but the ball slips through instead. Kedar Jadhav gives it a chase from short third man and keeps the batsmen to a couple.
  • 28.3 Another outside edge. Mahmudullah looked to defend again, got squared up and the outside edge went past the diving second slip.
  • 28.2 The googly, pitched outside leg, Mahmudullah looks to defend but gets a thick outside edge behind point.
  • 28.1 Tossed up around middle, helped around the corner at square leg for a single. The stand moves to 20 but from 61 balls.
  • 27.6 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot. 84/5
  • 27.5 Back of a length outside off, watchfully defended.
  • Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan, who had gone off the field a few overs ago, is back on the field. He is at the ropes and seems to be enjoying himself with the crowd.
  • 27.4 Similar ball, placed to point again.
  • 27.3 Looks like the ball is reversing. Outside off, on a length, pushed towards point.
  • 27.2 Outside off, dabbed behind point for a single.
  • 27.1 On a length outside off, Mosaddek stays back to defend but gets a thick inside edge onto his pads. Nearly chopped it on.
  • Jasprit Bumrah is back on. 4-1-17-1 so far. The batsmen now call for their helmets. They would be happy that there is some respite from spin but not quite sure they would love Bumrah either.
  • 26.6 Outside off, pushed through mid off for a run. 83/5
  • 26.5 Defended off the back foot by the batsman.
  • A bit of a delay as there seems to be an issue with one of the LED bails. A replacement is placed now.
  • 26.4 NOT OUT. Mosaddek never left the crease. Magnificent bowling and keeping though. Kuldeep tosses up a googly, outside off and Hossain looks to drive. He misses, as he misreads the googly. But Dhoni does not miss and whips off the bails furiously. It is referred upstairs and replays confirm that Mr. Hossain can live a bit longer.
  • Stumped? Dhoni has produced another beauty. But the naked eye reckons that Mosaddek is in.
  • 26.3 Thrown up outside off, driven straight to cover.
  • 26.2 Around leg stump, helped through fine leg for a run.
  • 26.1 Floated around middle, eased through the covers for a single.
  • 25.6 Landed outside off, spinning away, watchfully left alone. 80/5
  • 25.5 Full and outside off, driven through the covers for a run.
  • 25.4 Landed outside off, spinning away, Mosaddek goes back and plays it with the turn towards second slip.
  • 25.3 Full and just outside off, pushed away to the off side.
  • 25.2 Full and outside off, driven straight to cover.
  • 25.1 Short and outside off, punched through the covers for a single.
  • No. Chahal is not out of the attack. He only gets a change of ends. No respite for Bangladesh.
  • 24.6 Thrown up, outside off, driven straight to cover. 78/5
  • 24.5 The googly, around off, spinning away, Mosaddek just puts his bat to defend but is comprehensively beaten.
  • 24.4 Outside off, short again, eased through point for a single.
  • 24.3 Full and just outside off, watchfully dead-batted.
  • 24.2 A tad short, punched through the covers where Kedar Jadhav makes a half-stop diving to his right.
  • 24.1 Tossed up around middle, Mahmudullah comes down the track to defend but gets a thick inside edge onto his pads.
  • Kuldeep Yadav is back on. 3-0-9-0 so far. Chahal gets a break. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan is going off the field.
  • 23.6 Full and straight, watchfully defended. 77/5
  • 23.5 On middle and leg, pushed down the ground to long on for a run.

  • 23.1 Full and around middle, pushed towards mid-wicket.
  • 22.6 Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat. 75/5
  • 22.5 Pushed to the cover region by the batsman. They pick up a single.
  • 22.4 Down the leg side, Hossain looks to flick but misses. But no wide signalled.
  • 22.3 DROPPED! Third caught and bowled chance put down by Chahal in this Asia Cup. Full, around middle, Mosaddek comes forward and looks to go down the ground. He does not time it well and the ball goes back to the bowler. Chahal dives full length to his right but does not take it. He dropped one against Hong Kong, in the last game as well and now today. Should have taken all three, especially when he finishes his bowling action so quickly.
  • 22.2 Full again, watchfully blocked.
  • Interesting thoughts from Scott Styris on air. With the pitch turning so much, it will be tempting for Rohit to have his off side packed. But he has kept an in-out field. Why? Because of the deadly googly which Chahal possesses. So the skipper wants some protection on the leg side. Though, the Kiwi also says that Rohit can do one thing. He can have two slips and then bring mid-wicket to the off side. By doing so, he can leave that region vacant and entice the batsmen to go against the turn.
  • 22.1 The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 21.6 Tossed up outside off, watchfully blocked. 74/5

  • 20.1 Full and around off, Mahmudullah looks to flick but gets a leading edge which flies towards point.
  • 19.6 Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat. JUST 23/2 from overs 11-20. 67/5

  • 19.3 Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat.
  • 19.2 Around off, watchfully blocked out.
  • 19.1 Outside off, punched towards cover.
  • 18.6 Should India have a short leg as well? What a delivery. Full and outside off, the googly, but Mosaddek does not pick it. Goes at it with hard hands, lunging to defend but the ball spins in, takes the inside edge and flies through the vacant short leg region. 66/5
  • 18.5 Floated around middle and leg, Mosaddek lunges and defends.
  • Two slips in place. Oh ho!!!

  • 18.1 Full and outside off, pushed to the off side.
  • Mosaddek Hossain walks in at number 7, replacing Rahim.
  • 17.6 OUT! Caught! Half the side is down and Bangladesh, Bangladesh, Bangladesh - are going down very badly. One of their best batsmen is gone. Full and outside off, Rahim brings out the reverse sweep but can only hit it as far as short third man. Yuzvendra Chahal leaps and takes it nicely. 5th wicket down in 18 overs. Will we get to Powerplay 3? 65/5
  • 17.5 The batsman has punched the ball off the back foot.
  • 17.4 The batsman was beaten and missed the line of the delivery.
  • 17.3 Around off, watchfully defended.
  • 17.2 Full and around off, Rahim gets down and sweeps it uppishly over mid-wicket. Two runs taken.
  • 17.1 Full and outside off, watchfully defended.
  • 16.6 The batsman has pushed it to the cover region. One run added to the total. 63/4
  • 16.5 Full and outside off, driven straight to mid off.
  • 16.4 LUCKY! Chahal nearly had one. The googly outside off, Mahmudullah looked to drive it through the covers but was taken aback by the ball spinning in. Clearly he did not read it, hence left a massive gap between bat and pad. However, luckily for him, the ball took the inside edge and just missed the leg stump! A single taken towards fine leg.
  • 16.3 Driven through mid off by the batsman. One run added to the total.
  • 16.2 NOT OUT. There did not seem to be enough evidence to rule Rahim out. A lovely big spinning leg spinner from the leg spinner Chahal, pitching around middle and then spinning away. Rahim got down and went for a sweep but missed. Dhoni collected and whipped off the bails and then appealed loudly. He reckoned that was out and had it referred upstairs. Plenty of replays were seen and eventually, it was too close to call. Not sure, hence not out. And now, delving into the numbers, Dhoni took just 0.2 seconds to whip the bails off! Terrific keeping.
  • Is that out too? Dhoni reckons that he has Rahim stumped. Referred upstairs...
  • 16.1 Full and around leg, Rahim looks to defend but gets a thick inside edge onto his pads. It pops up but there is no short leg to catch it. Well, normally short legs are not in place in limited-overs cricket.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal is back. Just the one over in Powerplay 1.
  • 15.6 Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat. Just one run and a wicket from that over. The comeback man's figures read 4-0-20-2 at the moment. 60/4
  • 15.5 Full and around off, watchfully pushed to the off side.
  • Mahmudullah is the new man in at number 6, replacing Mithun.
  • 15.4 OUT! Pad first it is and Mithun is a goner! Plumb LBW. The straight ball, as is always from Jaddu, Mithun looked to defend but got hit on the pads. The ball seemed to hit the bat and pad at the same time. Jadeja appealed, in fact, he was the lone one appealing as Dhoni was not too sure. The umpire thought for a while and then raised his finger. The two batsmen got together, had a small chat and then referred it upstairs. There was an element of doubt with the ball hitting the bat and the pad at the same time but eventually, after a few replays, the third umpire went with the pad first call. Looking further, Hawk Eye shows three reds and Mithun has to depart. Another stand which was looking a bit threatening has been dislodged.
  • Jadeja strikes! Mithun has been adjudged LBW but he has reviewed it. Is it pad first or bat first? Seems to be pad first to the naked eye...
  • 15.3 Excellent stop again. Short and wide outside off, Mushfiqur cuts it hard towards point but Manish Pandey dives full length to his right and makes a half-stop. He is the substitute today as well. A single taken.
  • 15.2 This one pitches around off, spins away, Rahim lunges to defend but gets a thick outside edge which goes towards short third man.
  • 15.1 Full and outside off, pushed towards point.
  • DRINKS BREAK. India's 70 minutes. No sweat, not much effort. Bangladesh have not been able to read the bounce, nor the seam movement, nor the spin. Bhuvi and Bumrah did superbly with the new balls while Jadeja and Kuldeep are now choking the run flow. In the other game, AFGHANISTAN ARE 57/2 IN 15 OVERS after opting to bat against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi are gracing the pitch for now.
  • 14.6 Full and outside off, driven straight to mid off. 59/3
  • 14.5 This time he gets it in the gap on the leg side for a single.
  • 14.4 On middle and leg, Rahim stays back and works it to the leg side.
  • 14.3 Outside off, Mushfiqur looks to steer it to third man but misses.
  • 14.2 Full and around leg, swept past the man at short fine leg for a couple.
  • 14.1 Full and around off, watchfully defended.
  • 13.6 HOWZZAT? Jadeja reckons Mithun is a goner. The umpire doesn't. Rohit ponders about the review but does not take it. Full and around off, Mithun gets a big stride forward and looks to defend but seems to have been hit on the pads. Oh dear... replays show that the ball hit the pad, then the bat! And... Hawk Eye reckons it to be dead plumb! 56/3
  • 13.5 FOUR! This one comes as a full toss and Mithun gets out the reverse lap. The ball races past short third man and races to the fence.
  • 13.4 Quicker one, bunted back to the bowler.
  • 13.3 Floated generously outside off, Mithun drives this towards long off but Jadeja himself gets across to his left to stop the ball.
  • 13.2 On middle and leg, helped to the leg side.
  • 13.1 Full and straight, Mithun gets a big stride forward and defends.
  • 12.6 The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. 52/3
  • 12.5 Action reply of the previous delivery.
  • 12.4 Tossed up, driven wide of mid off for a run.
  • 12.3 The batsman defends it from within the crease.
  • 12.2 Full and outside off, driven through the covers for a single. 50 UP FOR BANGLADESH. Been a struggle.
  • 12.1 Huge LBW shout, but not out. India do not review. Very full, probably pitching outside leg, which is why the fielding side might not have bothered about a second look. Mithun went for the sweep but missed and was hit on the pads. Well, Hawk Eye shows the ball to be pitching in line but projects the ball to be spinning down and clipping the leg stump. So the decision would have stayed.
  • 11.6 Punched off the back foot by the batsman. The batsmen have run through for a single. 49/3
  • 11.5 OUCH! Rahim is hurt. But not by Mithun's shot. Landed around middle, Mithun punches this towards long on. Now, Jadeja tries to get across to his right to stop the ball but in the process, his right elbow punches Rahim in his tummy. The Bangladesh keeper-batsman is not happy.
  • 11.4 Short and outside off, cut straight to point.
  • 11.3 The batsman defends it from within the crease.
  • 11.2 Beaten! How close was that? Very. Around off, Mithun looks to play inside the line but the ball holds its shape and misses both, the outside edge and the off stump by a whisker!
  • 11.1 Full and wide outside off, driven through the covers for a single.
  • 10.6 Very dangerous shot. Full and in line of the stumps and Rahim attempted the sweep. Now, had he missed, he would have been dead LBW. But he does not miss and the bat comes down to direct the ball towards fine leg. A single taken. 47/3
  • 10.5 A touch short outside off, spinning in, Rahim attempts to play a late cut but finds backward point.
  • 10.4 On middle, pushed wide of long on for a single.
  • 10.3 Full and outside off, Mithun drives it through the covers but Ambati Rayudu dives full length to his right and makes an excellent stop.
  • 10.2 Driven towards the mid on region. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 10.1 Full and outside off, watchfully defended.
  • POWERPLAY 2 time. 4 fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle till the 40th over. Kuldeep Yadav to bowl as well.
  • 9.6 Action replay of the previous delivery. 13 runs but a wicket as well from that over. Bangladesh end Powerplay 1 with their score reading 44/3. 44/3
  • 9.5 Driven towards the mid off region. One run added to the total.
  • Mohammad Mithun is the new man in at number 5, replacing Shakib.
  • 9.4 OUT! Gone this time! Poor cricket from Shakib. On the previous boundary, the ball had travelled aerially through square leg. And then, Rohit placed a man exactly at square leg. Shakib again repeated his last shot. Only this was tossed a bit wider outside off. Shakib had to reach out, to try and fetch that. He aimed to go over square leg but instead, handed a simple catch to Shikhar Dhawan. Bangladesh in deep, deep trouble.
  • 9.3 FOUR! Consecutive boundaries! Full and on middle, Shakib gets down and mows it through square leg. Jasprit Bumrah races to his left from deep mid-wicket and puts in a desperate dive but in vain.
  • 9.2 FOUR! Full toll of that extra ball. Tossed up outside off, Shakib leans and lofts it over cover for a boundary!
  • FREE HIT TIME! Hang on, what is happening out there? Jadeja bowled a full toss on the Free Hit and Shakib slapped it towards mid off. But while the bowler was delivering, the umpire was stopping him. However, by that time, Jaddu had already delivered. Now, the umpire signals a dead ball. Rohit Sharma is not happy and has a long discussion with the umpire but Ahsan Raza is firm. So the Free Hit continues...
  • 9.2 NO BALL! That is surprising. Jaddu has overstepped. That is a massive one too. Pushed wide of mid off for a single.
  • 9.1 The batsman has nudged the ball fine down the leg side. One run added to the total.
  • Spin from both ends. Ravindra Jadeja to bowl for the first time in this Asia Cup.
  • 8.6 Driven through mid off by the batsman. They pick up a single. 31/2
  • 8.5 Full and outside off, driven through mid off for one more.
  • 8.4 On middle, worked wide of mid on for a run.
  • 8.3 TOP EDGE, SAFE! More luck for Rahim. Tossed up outside off, the Bangladesh keeper-batsman tries to sweep against the spin. However, a top edge is induced and it flies in the air. Short fine leg runs across to his left while deep mid-wicket runs in, but the ball lands in between. A single taken.
  • 8.2 The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 8.1 On middle and leg, flicked through mid-wicket for a single.
  • First sign of spin. Here's Yuzvendra Chahal.
  • 7.6 Nips back in again, Rahim looks to defend but gets a thick inside edge onto his pads. 26/2
  • 7.5 The batsman has played that off the front foot and into the ground.
  • 7.4 INSIDE EDGE, PAST DHONI, FOUR! Unbelievable delivery from Bumrah. How does he get so much movement? Even in these conditions? Does anyone remember Keaton Jennings' LBW dismissal in England in one of the Tests where he shouldered arms and was out LBW? Well, this was similar, only the other way. On a length, but wide outside off. Now, Rahim looks to push at that, a bit away from his body, probably looking to tap and run. But the ball comes in a long way, takes the inside edge and flies past the flying Dhoni to his left, all the way to the fine leg fence! Bumrah has his hands on his head and then smiles. The stand is now worth 10 from 15 balls.
  • 7.3 Similar delivery, closer to the off stump, Mushfiqur defends watchfully.
  • 7.2 Slightly shorter than a fuller length, Rahim waits on the back foot this time, allows the ball to come in and then dabs it towards point. Shakib wants a single but Rahim sends him back with clear calls of 'NO! NO!'
  • 7.1 Full on middle and leg, worked wide of mid on for a single.
  • 6.6 The length is fuller this time and the response is to come a step forward and push it towards cover. A MAIDEN FOR BHUVI, his first, India's second. 21/2
  • 6.5 On a length around off, coming in, tightly defended.
  • 6.4 Fine shot, but an excellent stop. Full and outside off, Mushfiqur walks down the track and plays a brilliant straight drive. But mid off dives full length to his right and makes a clean stop.
  • 6.3 Closer to the off stump, Rahim walks down the track, gets across but then shoulders arms.
  • 6.2 Fuller, driven towards mid on this time.
  • 6.1 Around off, watchfully defended.
  • 5.6 FOUR! HANDSOME! The support seems to be tremendous for Bangladesh today. A half volley outside off, Shakib leans and drives it through the covers for a boundary! 5 runs and a wicket from that over, Bumrah's figures read 3-1-12-1. 21/2
  • 5.5 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot.
  • Brett Lee on air observes the run-up of Bumrah. The Aussie speedster counts the number of steps taken by Jasprit and he gets to 10 or 11. Now, Binga is not particularly happy with that. He says while it is okay for now, in the long run, this short run-up could cause injuries to Bumrah. As a fast bowler, you need pace in your run-up as well, says Lee. So, more the number of steps, more is the pace. However, with this method, the body needs that extra effort to push for more pace.
  • 5.4 Full and straight, driven straight back.
  • 5.3 Mushy is away. On the pads, flicked behind square leg for a single.
  • 5.2 On middle and leg, played towards short mid-wicket.
  • Mushfiqur Rahim walks in at number 4, replacing Nazmul.
  • 5.1 OUT! Edged, dropped but caught in the second attempt! One wicket brings the fall of another. Short and outside off, Shanto slashes hard at that, on seeing the width. But there is no feet movement and all it results is in a thick outside edge. The ball flies to first slip where Shikhar Dhawan fumbles initially as the ball bursts through his right palm. But it lobs straight up and he catches it on the second attempt. He then celebrates by clapping his thigh.
  • 4.6 Full and just outside off, Shakib comes forward and pushes it towards mid off. Just 2 runs and a wicket from that over, Bhuvi's figures read 3-0-8-1. 16/1
  • 4.5 Outside off, a touch shorter, steered behind point towards third man for a single.
  • 4.4 On middle, pushed towards short mid-wicket.
  • In walks Shakib Al Hasan at number 3, replacing Das.
  • 4.3 OUT! There goes the first wicket! Das is bounced out. India get their first scalp. A short ball outside off, Das is compelled into the pull shot but the height of the bouncer is probably a bit too steep for him. He tries his best to keep it down but the pace and bounce are too much for him. The top edge flies down to long leg where Kedar Jadhav covers good ground to his left and takes an excellent catch diving sidewards. Early breakthrough.
  • 4.2 The batsman has flicked the ball off his pads. They pick up a single.
  • 4.1 Getting itchy now. The batsmen want to get on with it. A length ball outside off, angling away, Nazmul backs away, then charges out and cracks a square cut. But the fielder at point puts in a full length dive and makes a terrific stop.
  • 3.6 Very straight, around middle, blocked towards point. 14/0
  • 3.5 The batsman shows the full face of the bat and defends the ball off the back foot.
  • 3.4 FOUR! BRUTAL! First boundary of the innings. A short ball outside off, Das swivels back and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary!
  • 3.3 Defended off the back foot by the batsman.
  • 3.2 That is a beauty. Landed on a length outside off, coming in, Das feels for it but is beaten by the inward movement.
  • 3.1 A full toss outside off, Shanto drives it through the covers. Mid off gives it a good chase and gets to the ball before it reaches the boundary. He slides and pulls the ball back. Three runs taken.
  • 2.6 Oopss... but a great call from the umpire. Das jumps down the track and Bhuvi's response is to bowl a bouncer, way outside off. Das lets it go but since he was way down the track, he is not wided. 7/0
  • 2.5 Comes down the track and pulls it through mid on. But Rohit dives to his left and makes a half-stop. Just a single.
  • 2.4 Full and outside off, driven straight to mid off.
  • 2.3 On middle and off, defended back to the bowler.
  • 2.2 Outside off, steered to third man for a single.
  • 2.1 Nearly a catch! Full and outside off, Das leans and drives it uppishly. It almost goes straight to the man at short extra cover but drops short.
  • 1.6 Very straight, around middle, blocked towards point. 5/0
  • 1.5 Fuller, driven back to the bowler who acrobatically leaps to his right and stops it with one hand.
  • 1.4 A length ball around leg stump, steep bounce again, uncomfortably fended down the track.
  • 1.3 In the air... safe! No fielder manning that gully region. A short ball outside off, Liton looks to pull but the ball bounces extra, takes the outside edge, hits the shoulder and lobs in the air. However, there is no man at gully and by the time Ravindra Jadeja can get to it from backward point, the ball lands safely. A quick single taken.
  • 1.2 Fuller, coming in, Das comes forward to work it to the leg side but is unable to counter the late movement. It goes off the inner edge towards mid-wicket.
  • 1.1 He too, hits the deck hard straightaway. No looseners. 135 kph, on a length, extra bounce, outside off, fended to the leg side.
  • Jasprit Bumrah to bowl with the second new ball.
  • 0.6 Full and outside off, pushed wide of mid off for a quick single. Excellent opening over from Bhuvneshwar. 4/0
  • 0.6 WIDE. Bhuvi is not happy. It was definitely a touch wide outside off but was it that far off? Replays show that it was not even close to the wide guideline.
  • 0.5 On middle and off, flicked straight to mid on.
  • 0.4 Very tight and straight, defended solidly.
  • 0.3 Both openers are underway now. Shanto waits for the ball to come to him and steers it to third man for a single.
  • 0.2 On a length outside off, pushed towards point.
  • 0.1 Edged first up! But safe. What a start from Kumar. On a length outside off, hitting the deck hard, Das stays back to defend but the ball bounces steeply and then shapes away. Catches Liton by surprise who gets squared up. Just fends at it and luckily for him, the edge flies wide of the man at first slip towards third man. Bangladesh are away, though not in the most convincing fashion.
  • Done and dusted. Let's play now. The Indian team gets into a huddle. Out come the Bangladesh openers. Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain Shanto will aim to see off the new balls first. Finally, the Indians disperse. Who will bowl first up? Bhuvi? Yes. Das is on strike. Here we go!
  • Time for the national anthems. Bangladesh first up.
  • Mashrafe Mortaza says that he was looking to bat first anyways. Observes that the track looks good to bat on and hopes that his batters do their job. On the previous night, Mashrafe says that one of the good things of playing so soon is there is no time to think what happened in that bad game. On the team news, he says that Rahim and Mustafizur are back in place of Mominul Haque and Abu Hider.
  • Rohit Sharma says that chasing suits India. Observes that it gets a bit better under lights. Stresses that they do not know what is an ideal score here, hence they would want a target in front of them. On the tracks, the skipper says that they are more or less the same as to those in India but the conditions are way too hot. However, he also says that having played a couple of games here, they have got used to the conditions. Informs that there is only one change with Ravindra Jadeja replacing the injured Hardik Pandya.
  • TOSS - We are ready for the spin of the coin. Rohit Sharma flips the specially minted coin, the call is Heads from Mortaza but it is a tail. Surprisingly, INDIA ELECT TO CHASE.
  • Okay. The PITCH REPORT first. Russel Arnold says that a fresh one is in use for today. Observes that there is hardly any grass and the track is very very even. A bit of cracks here and there but they are bound together. What that tells us is - do not try to blast the bowlers but accumulate runs and try and bat longer. Reckons that if you bat first and score 250, it should be a winning total.
  • India might be affected by injuries with Hardik Pandya being the most prominent one of those. However, their replacement squad looks equally strong. They might have invoked ire by their performance against Hong Kong but the Men In Blue have played the perfect trick by properly rotating the players. Bangladesh, on the other hand, are also reeling under injuries. Mushfiqur Rahim is not 100 percent fit and neither is his skipper Mortaza. Shakib did decently last night against Afghanistan but will he be fit enough to produce another good display today? The toss is coming up in a few minutes.
  • The Super Four stage kicks off today with India and Bangladesh playing the first game in Dubai. At the same time, in Abu Dhabi, Afghanistan and Pakistan will be playing the second match. It is going to be a tough contest for both Bangladesh and Afghanistan, since each played last night. However, if you look at Bangladesh - boy, they have had to travel from Abu Dhabi this morning to Dubai. Without a doubt, they will be under extreme pressure. Hopefully, we do not get a damp squib.

India Vs Bangladesh Live Score (ODI) Ball by Ball Commentary

  • So that's it from here. India won comfortably and will be looking forward to their next game against Sarfraz Ahmed's Pakistan on Sunday at 1530 local (1130 GMT). There's another game on that day, at the same time, between Afghanistan and Bangladesh and it will be a good day. But, in the meantime, you can switch tabs and catch all the riveting action form the ongoing Pakistan-Afghanistan match. Cheers!
  • MAN OF THE MATCH, Ravindra Jadeja, says he's very happy to play for the ODI side after a long time. Stresses that he wants to give his best every time he plays and do well for the team. Adds that Kuldeep and Chahal keep the pressure on the batsmen and it allows others to take advantage. Let's everyone know that whenever he used to watch the others in limited-overs cricket, he told himself that he would do whatever it took to get in the side. On whether he's disappointed he didn't get to bat, he says he isn't and will take his chance against Pakistan in the next game.
  • India skipper, Rohit Sharma, says it was a clinical performance from his side. Mentions that he knew it would be slightly better batting under the lights, which is the reason why he decided to chase. States that it's important to keep rotating the bowlers with shorter spells and not let the batsmen get used to them. Adds that if you keep it tight, the wickets will come. Praises Chahal and Kuldeep despite them not getting wickets, but gives special mention to Jadeja for bowling the way he did, especially after coming into the ODI side after a long time. Emphasizes that he wanted either of him or Dhawan to hang around for a while and even finish the game if possible. Ends by saying that he's looking forward to the next challenge.
  • Bangladesh skipper, Mashrafe Mortaza, says that it was not a bad wicket to bat on and they could have made 250-260. Adds that they lost their way in the middle overs and couldn't finish off strongly. Mentions that defending 173 is very difficult and he can't be harsh on his bowlers. States that Afghanistan are a tough team to face and they have to be at the top of their game on Sunday. Ends by saying that if they score 250-260, it will give them a good chance.
  • In response, Rohit and Dhawan got the Men in Blue off to a positive start again. It more or less sealed the deal. Dhawan departed, and Rayudu joined him soon after, but Dhoni hung around and made a 50-run stand with the skipper (who made a solid fifty for himself). MS departed with only a few runs remaining, which Karthik finished after coming in. An emphatic win for the Indians, they'll be quite pleased with their performance tonight. The presentation will be coming up shortly.
  • The Indian pacers started it off picking early wickets and then, it was Jadeja who stole the show. He bagged 4 on his comeback into the ODI side and ran through the Bangladesh middle order. Kumar and Bumrah got 3 apiece for themselves too. Mehidy Hasan provided a late flurry towards the end and got Bangladesh to 173.
  • A clinical performance from the Indians. It was kind of expected too, given Bangladesh were relatively fatigued and some key players injured/half-fit. Though, not to take anything away from the Indians, they did a splendid job in all departments. Electing to field after winning the toss, they put the Tigers under immense pressure from the word go.
  • 36.2 INDIA WIN BY 7 WICKETS! A victory as comfortable as any. Done in similar fashion too. Karthik adjusts his body and flicks the tossed up delivery through square leg for a single. Handshakes between Karthik and Sharma, nicely done.
  • 36.1 Scores are level now as Rohit Sharma drives this down to long off for a single.
  • Shakib Al Hasan back into the attack.
  • 35.6 Full in length on middle stump, blocked safely with bat and pad close together. 172/3
  • 35.5 Fullish in length and outside off, DK once again walks down the track and drives it this time back to the bowler.
  • 35.5 Wide! Seeing Karthik advancing down the track, Mortaza bangs it short and angles it down leg. Dinesh raises his hands and avoids it. Wide called.
  • 35.4 Good length delivery on off, worked comfortably past the short mid-wicket fielder by moving inside the line. Single taken.
  • Dinesh Karthik walks in next.
  • 35.3 OUT! Dhoni departs trying to finish things off in style. Length ball outside off, the batsman charges down the track and looks to clear the cover boundary. Doesn't connect as well and it flies down the throat of Mohammad Mithun, who makes no mistake in taking it coming in from the deep. Something to maybe chuckle about for the Tigers.
  • 35.2 Connects well again but it's straight to the fielder. Outside off, Dhoni cuts it hard to point. Either side of the fielder and that was game over.
  • 35.1 Length delivery outside off, played on the up, connected well, but it's straight to the man at extra cover.
  • 34.6 Shortish delivery, on middle and off, turned away in front of square leg easily. One run taken. 4 to win. 170/2
  • 34.5 The batsman has defended it towards point by getting right behind the line of the delivery. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 34.4 Sprays it on the pads, worked away on the leg side as the batsmen change ends.
  • 34.4 Wide! Short ball over Dhoni's head and it's down the leg side too. It's left alone and the umpire raises his arms sideways to signal a wide.
  • 34.3 Guided down to third man with an angled blade. One more run added to the total.
  • 34.2 Dhoni's quick and even now, he shows it without any problem. Just pushes this full ball towards mid off and takes the fielder on. Beats the throw at the danger end with ease and completes the run.
  • 34.1 Full delivery attacking the stumps, Dhoni stays behind the line and drives it towards the man at mid on.
  • 33.6 Slower in pace and fuller in length, outside the line of off stump, pushed gently to mid off to end the over. 164/2
  • 33.5 Goes down the ground, towards mid on, and a single is taken.
  • 33.4 Length ball aiming the top of off stump, punched to cover from the back foot again.
  • 33.3 Skidding off the surface, ahead of a length, a mistimed punch is played to cover.
  • 33.2 Taps it down on the off side and the pair steals another quick run.
  • 33.1 Quick single. Good running between the wickets. Dhoni taps this towards mid on and both batsmen take off. Beat the fielder and the subsequent throw eventually.
  • Meanwhile, we have just got the news that Bangladesh have added Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes to their depleted Asia Cup squad. Well, two games they have to change things - one against Afghanistan on Sunday and then against Pakistan.
  • 32.6 Dhoni goes square, places this through point from within the crease and keeps strike. 161/2
  • 32.5 Punched off the back foot firmly through to sweeper cover for a single.
  • 32.4 It's gone behind to the keeper but on the bounce. Seems the extra bounce generated by Mustafizur on this occasion has taken the Indian skipper by surprise. Angling away, on a length, Rohit opens the face and is stuck as the ball rises a bit too much. It goes off the top half of the bat and goes to Rahim on the bounce as he dives to his right to take it.
  • 32.3 Outside off again, Rohit throws his bat at this one and misses it completely.
  • 32.2 Sharma has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 32.1 Fullish in length and the Fizz keeps it close to off, Rohit Sharma pushes it defensively to covers.
  • 31.6 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. The batsmen have picked up a couple of runs. India only 15 away from victory here. 159/2
  • 31.5 Nicely done. Dhoni plays this really late. It's well outside off, so he cuts it down towards third man and comes back for the second. The 50-run stand comes up with this as well. These two are getting the job done comfortably.
  • 31.4 Good length delivery in the off stump channel, pushed away to the cover region.
  • 31.3 FOUR! BANG! That's gone like a rocket! The power of Dhoni. It's a short of a length delivery around off, he stands tall and hammers it back down the ground. Almost takes the umpire's head along with that. No chance for anyone to stop it. None.
  • 31.3 No ball! Mortaza oversteps and you know what that means - a Free Hit is about to come up. It's a length ball on off, MS clips it in front of square on the leg side.
