Clear skies are expected during the ENG vs NZ match, while the temperatures will be around 28-27 degrees Celsius. So, expect a hot and humid day in Colombo. This could lead to some dew but so far it hasn’t been a big factor in matches in Sri Lanka.
R Premadasa Stadium pitch report
The England vs New Zealand match will be played on the same pitch on which the Black Caps defeated Sri Lanka by 61 runs. In that game, New Zealand made 168/7 while Sri Lanka were restricted to 107/8.
Mitchell Santner and Cole McConchie together returned match figures of 84/6 against Sri Lanka, and they are set to trouble England as well.
Expect the tired pitch to offer spin, some seam and uneven bounce, which is not great news for Pakistan.
