The 33-year-old injured his right shoulder while taking Heinrich Klaasen’s catch. He returned later to bowl two overs as New Zealand won by 50 runs .
Kiwis coach, Gary Stead, however, has said that Henry’s availability is “unknown”.
“I guess the positive thing from our perspective is he got back out there to bowl,” Stead said. “We’ve had some scans and stuff done on him, and we’re going to give him every chance to be playing in this match.
“[But it’s] still a little bit unknown at this stage.
“He’s obviously pretty sore just from landing on the point of his shoulder,” Stead said. “Hopefully he will be okay.”
Five out of the 10 wickets for Henry in the Champions Trophy 2025 came in the group match against India. In case he is not available, New Zealand can bring in fast bowler Jacob Duffy in their squad.
