Australia have made a change to their Champions Trophy 2025 squad ahead of their semi-final against India , with Cooper Connolly replacing injured Matthew Short. Connolly was approved as Short’s replacement by the Event Technical Committee of the Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday.

Short has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025 due to an injury to his left quadriceps.
Connolly will be available for selection in the semi-final against India, which will be played on Tuesday (4 March) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Batting all-rounder Connolly has so far played in three ODIs, scoring just 10 runs in two innings and taking zero wickets.
Champions Trophy 2025’s Event Technical Committee consists of Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager – Cricket), Sarah Edgar (ICC Senior Manager – Events), Usman Wahla (PCB Director – International Cricket Operations), Shaun Pollock (Independent Representative).
