RCB vs KKR Highlights: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025’s return on Saturday (17 May) is being threatened by rain. The IPL returns after a forced break due to the India-Pakistan conflict with a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, there’s a prediction for rain and thunderstorms today evening in Bengaluru.
As per AccuWeather, there’s a prediction for thunderstorms in the evening and the temperatures could dip to as low as 21. The chances of rain stand at 70% for Saturday in Bengaluru, but it peaks to 71% around 7 PM when the toss is scheduled to take place in the RCB vs KKR match.
The prediction for rain is 69% at 8 PM and 49% at 10 PM. It’s going to be around 30-20% from there on, which means rain interruption is almost guaranteed and we could see a match with less number of overs.
The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is known for its modern drainage system, which should allow the organisers to hold a game unless the rains don’t stop.
Currently, RCB are second in the IPL 2025 points table with 16 points from 11 matches, while KKR are sixth with 11 points from 12 matches.
