A new FIR has been filed by one of the victims of the recent stampede that took place outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The victim has accused Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the event organisers, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) of negligence.

The incident happened during RCB's IPL 2025 victory celebrations in Bengaluru, where a huge number of people had gathered all over the city. Due to poor crowd control and lack of proper arrangements outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, a stampede broke out and 11 people lost their lives and several got injured.

Fresh FIR filed against RCB

In the fresh FIR, the victim has reportedly blamed the franchise RCB, the organisers of the event, and the state cricket board for failing to manage the situation. “Negligence of RCB, organisers, and the state cricket board led to this unfortunate stampede,” the FIR reads.

The police have already arrested RCB's marketing head Nikhil Sosale while he was trying to leave the city. Three executives from event management firm DNA – identified as Kiran, Sumanth and Sunil Mathew – have also been detained for questioning in the case.
