A funny mistake happened just before the start of the India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 14. Both teams were ready and standing for the national anthem. But instead of Pakistan’s anthem, the DJ played a pop song by mistake.
The song played for a couple of seconds before the real Pakistan national anthem started. Pakistan players looked surprised but quickly focused back on their anthem. Fans also noticed the mistake and many laughed about it on social media. Some even went on to guess that the song was ‘Jalebi Baby.’

India dominate the powerplay
After this small mix-up, the match started as planned. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. India all-rounder Hardik Pandya took the new ball for India and provided the breakthrough immediately. After bowling a wide for his first delivery, Hardik returned with the softest of dismissals to send Pakistan opener Saim Ayub back to the pavilion, who registered his third duck in his last five matches.
Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the second over for India and picked up back-to-back wickets. He dismissed Mohammad Haris, who mistimed a pick-up shot and gave an easy catch to Pandya at deep backward square. Bumrah then trapped Fakhar Zaman LBW for a duck, but the Pakistan batter went upstairs and successfully overturned the decision. Pakistan are in deep trouble right now.
