The third umpire said the fingers were beneath the ball. Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis also expressed his objection to the dismissal, saying, “I’m not sure if that was a catch. Fakhar looked shocked and rightly so.”
Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said that when there is no conclusive evidence with third umpire, the benifit of doubt should go to the batter.
