Donald Trump has sealed a victory in the US presidential election.

He has become the first former president to return to the White House in more than 130 years.

At 78, he also became the oldest man elected to America’s highest office.

However, not everyone is happy with his comeback.

For the people grieving Trump’s victory, a travel company has announced an extraordinary offer: a luxurious four-year “Skip Forward” cruise around the world.

The programme is specially designed for those who enjoy sailing and are prepared to spend four years at sea.

Here’s all we know about the one-of-a-kind journey.

Life at sea

Florida-based Villa Vie Residences revealed its exclusive “Skip Forward” package on November 7, one day after Trump declared victory.

This package enables travellers to travel the world in luxury, visiting famous locations and effectively “skipping” the next presidential term.

As per the press release, the company’s Tour La Vie programme, which starts at about $40,000 annually, gives residents the flexibility to join their customised journey at any port during the continuous global adventure for up to four years.

Although the package was revealed following the US presidential election, Villa Vie Residences claims that it is appropriate for all tourists, irrespective of political views, with an emphasis on global travel and cultural experiences.

Earlier this year, the company also provided a package called “Endless Horizons” for anyone who wanted to battle inflation. The project offers the ultimate goal of seeing the world by sea, eliminating worries about ongoing living expenditures and the potential for outliving funds.

This cruise’s idea is simple yet appealing: it provides a way for people to escape the hustle and concern of US politics, particularly in light of the possible outcome of a second Trump presidency.

Passengers get the opportunity to detach from the outside world and re-establish a connection with themselves on board and balance leisure and work.

Guests will stay in luxurious suites with access to libraries, health centres, and co-working areas.
