The arrested “shooters” in the Salman Khan residence firing case will be presented before a Mumbai court on Tuesday morning.
Identified as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), the two accused were nabbed from Gujarat’s Bhuj by a Mumbai crime branch team and were flown down to Mumbai, according to PTI.
The two motorcycle-borne shooters had opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments, Khan’s residence in Bandra, in the early hours of Sunday. As per Indian Express, one of the bullets landed on the balcony of the actor’s residence.
Meanwhile, Anmol Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the act in a purported Facebook post. He issued a warning to the actor, referring to the firing incident as a “trailer.”
Here’s all we know about them.
Who is Vicky Gupta?
Vicky alias Kalu was first arrested in 2020 in a motorcycle theft case and sent to Delhi’s Tihar jail, as per The Times of India.
Kalu, who hails from Bihar’s Champaran, is associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang, as per the Indian Express.
He is a shooter of notorious gangster Rohit Godara, who is suspected of involvement in the last month murder of Sachin, a bookie based in Gurugram. Gupta is believed to have carried out the crime along with two accomplices, as per TOI.
Godara, a close aide of Lawrence Bishnoi, his younger brother Anmol, and Goldy Brar, handles all the gang’s operations from the UK.
During his time in Tihar jail, Gupta came across a few individuals connected to Godara’s gang, after which he decided to become a member of their criminal group.
Last year, the Bawana police station had filed three additional cases against Gupta, including charges of robbery, snatching, and arms possession, the newspaper said.
