Let’s take a look at the events:

Nepal army chief likely to meet Gen-Z protesters

There is a comparative calm in Nepal after the army stepped in to restore order after two days of violent protests. Nepal’s former chief justice Sushila Karki has emerged as a probable candidate to lead an interim government.

A meeting between Nepal army chief Ashok Sigdel and the Gen-Z protesters is scheduled for today.

Gen-Z movement leaders on Wednesday held a virtual meeting, where they discussed sending 15 representatives to Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and former Chief Justice Sushila Karki.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog is beginning a three-day visit to the United Kingdom, where he will meet ministers, even as some Labour MPs have urged the government not to engage with him.

The visit comes ahead of the UK government’s likely recognition of a Palestinian state. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said this will go ahead unless Israel agrees to a ceasefire and restarts talks on a two-state solution.
