A holy dip at the Triveni Sangam area of the Maha Kumbh Mela turned into a nightmare for many in the early hours of Wednesday (January 29). According to reports, several people were injured when crores of pilgrims hustled to take the ‘Amrit Snan’ (holy dip) on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.

Mauni Amavasya is considered to be one of the holiest days during the Maha Kumbh Mela causing millions of devotees to gather at the Triveni Sangam to seek blessings.
