It is election season in India. The country of 1.42 billion people with 97.8 crore eligible voters will vote in seven phases.
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be the second-longest in the country, stretching for 44 days, beginning on 19 April and ending on 1 June. The results will be announced on 4 June.
The first phase will begin on 19 April, followed by 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May, and the final phase, the seventh, will be held on 1 June. This is the longest since 1951 when elections were held over 52 days.

Along with the Lok Sabha elections, four states will hold Assembly elections: Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha.
