If you haven’t planned your weekend yet, we have a plane lined up for you. The pleasant weather coupled with flowers is the best place to be. Yes, we are talking about Amrit Udyan, formerly known as Mughal Gardens. On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated ‘Udyan Utsav 2024’ at the Amrit Udyan. Showcasing over 85 species of flowers besides a floral clock and a selfie point, the garden will be opened for the public from Friday. For the first time, visitors can enjoy a theme garden filled with 42,000 tulips from 18 different varieties. A 225-year-old Sheesham tree and a Bonsai garden (with over 300 Bonsais, many of which are decades old) are among the main draws for visitors. An elevated artistic ‘Amrit Udyan’ garden signature has been placed in the backdrop of the theme garden, providing a beautiful selfie opportunity. Another attraction is a ‘floral clock’, which is a piece of floral art in the shape of a stationary clock. So, if you’ve decided to visit the place, here’s what you should know.
