For the next three days, all eyes will turn to Italy’s Apulia as it will host the 50th G7 Summit. The event will witness the gathering of US president Joe Biden, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, Canada’s Justin Trudeau, France’s Emmanuel Macron, Germany’s Olaf Scholz, UK’s Rishi Sunak and Japan’s Fumio Kishida.
India too has been invited as an Outreach Country with Prime Minister Narendra Modi already half way across the globe to attend the event.
As per a top US official, President Joe Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart will sign a bilateral security agreement between the two nations in a bid to to send a signal of American resolve in supporting Kyiv against Russia.
