Procter and Gamble (P&G) has named Shailesh Jejurikar as its next president and chief executive officer (CEO).
Jejurikar, who will take charge of the company from January 1, 2026, will be first Indian to lead the consumer goods conglomerate.
According to a statement from P&G, the 58-year-old is set to replace Jon Moeller as CEO.
Moeller, appointed to the top role four years ago, will transition to executive chairman.
Jejurikar has been serving the company since 1989 and has been an integral part of the leadership team for the past 12 years.
“I am honoured to serve as P&G’s CEO,” said Jejurikar in the statement. “P&G people, our brands, and our capabilities in innovation and operational excellence fuel my confidence for a future of sustained growth and value creation.”
Jejurikar is slated to join a long list of Indian-origin CEOs who are helming global firms.
