It was an evening to remember. On Sunday (9 June), days after the Lok Sabha election results were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 72 ministers took the oath of office at Rashtrapati Bhavan, marking the beginning of Modi sarkar 3.0.

This time, the Union Cabinet has 72 ministers , only nine short of achieving the maximum strength of 81 members.

The new Cabinet is reflective of the NDA; the allies have received 12 positions whereas the remaining have been retained by the BJP. The new Cabinet is also a mix of new and old. While PM Modi has kept some of his old ministers such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, he has also infused new faces into the administration through JP Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and many more.
