India’s love affair with biryani continues. The dish was India’s favourite for the 8th year in a row, according to Swiggy’s annual report. The report says that 4.3 lakh orders for biryani were placed on the first day alone. One hundred and fifty-three biryani ordered were placed every minute this year – around 2.5 orders per second. The dish was searched on the platform 40,30,827 times this year. Every sixth biryani order was placed from Hyderabad.
