No spot booking for Sabarimala darshan from today In view of the rising number of devotees reaching Sabarimala for the Makaravillaku festival, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has brought in restrictions, with no spot booking allowed for darshan starting today. Typically, the devotees who start arriving three days before Makaravilakku stay back at the hill shrine until they have Makaravilakku and Thiruvabharana darshan. They camp at various places in Sabarimala. Hence, more pilgrims pose a danger to their own safety and affect a smooth pilgrimage, according to TDB president PS Prasanth.
