World leaders will gather in Paris on Thursday for a high-stakes summit on Ukraine’s security and to lay the groundwork for long-term security guarantees.
Over 31 countries, including Nato and EU members such as the UK, Canada, and Norway, are expected to attend the meeting.
Marco Rubio visits Guyana
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit oil-rich Guyana as part of his three-nation trip to the Caribbean.
His visit will focus on energy security.
Earlier, Guyana had to reach out to the US for help after a Venezuelan patrol boat entered its waters, threatening ExxonMobil offshore operations.

Sotheby’s will auction an original screen-used model of ET from Steven Spielberg‘s 1982 sci-fi classic, ET: The Extra-Terrestrial, along with items from the man who brought the iconic movie character to life, Carlo Rambaldi.
Designed and developed in 1981 and standing just over three feet, the E.T. creation was used in the well-known closet scene, which finds the alien attempting to disguise himself among stuffed animals.
Mamata Banerjee’s lecture at London’s Oxford University
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is visiting England to participate in a discussion session on the topic of “Social Development – Girl, Child and Women Empowerment” at Kellog College of Oxford University today.

They have been brought to trial in Argentina for alleged homicide by negligence, facing up to 25 years in prison following his death at age 60 in 2020.
