Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review the progress on the Gaganyaan mission and inaugurate three facilities of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to the nation during a visit to Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram today.

He will also join the conclusion ceremony of the “En Mann En Makkal” padayatra organised by the BJP’s state unit.

The biennial Rajya Sabha elections for 56 seats across 15 states will also be held today.

PM Modi in Kerala

The Prime Minister is visiting the southern state today — his third visit to the state this year.

He will inaugurate three major technical facilities of ISRO and review the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme during his visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) here.

Modi will inaugurate a Trisonic Wind Tunnel at the VSSC, a Semi-Cryogenic Integrated Engine and Stage Test Facility at the ISRO propulsion complex at Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu and the PSLV Integration Facility at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharikota.

The Indian leader will also join the final day of “En Mann En Makkal” which will be held at the Central Stadium.

Bengaluru water supply cut

The Karnataka capital will face a 24-hour water supply disruption between Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) said that the water supply in major parts of the city will remain disrupted from 6 am today to 6 am on 28 February.

This is because the BWSSB is scheduled to undertake emergency maintenance works and install Unaccounted For Water (UFW) bulk flow metres, according to The New Indian Express.

Biennial Rajya Sabha polls for 56 seats

The Election Commission of India last month announced that the biennial Rajya Sabha elections for 56 seats across 15 states will be held on Tuesday.

15 February was the last date for filing nominations and 20 February for withdrawing candidature. Notably, fifty members will retire on 2 April and six on 3 April, the ECI had said.

Out of 56 seats, 28 are from the BJP, 10 from Congress, four from AITC, three from BRS, two each from RJD, JDU, and BJD and one each from TDP, YSRCP, Samajwadi Party, NCP, and Shiv Sena.

Scindia to inaugurate Jindal Stainless’ first green hydrogen plant

On Tuesday, Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia will virtually inaugurate the stainless steel industry’s first green hydrogen project set up by Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL).

With the inauguration, JSL will become India’s first stainless steel company to install such a plant on a commercial scale, the officials said.

Revanth Reddy to inaugurate BioAsia 2024 at HICC

Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the 21st edition of BioAsia, Asia’s largest life sciences event at HICC on Tuesday.

According to a statement to the media, Minister D Sridhar Babu said, “BioAsia 2024 exemplifies the power of government-industry collaboration in driving innovation and shaping the future of the life sciences industry. Key court hearings

The Supreme Court will hear the bail plea of TMC leader Anubrata Mondal, arrested in connection with the cattle-smuggling case. The Calcutta High Court rejected Mondal’s bail plea in January last year. The Trinamool Congress leader had prayed for bail, submitting at that time that he had been in custody for more than 145 days.
