PM Modi in Marseille

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the historic French city of Marseille to inaugurate the first Indian Consulate in France.

He will also pay tribute to Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World Wars I and II at the Mazargues War Cemetery.

The Prime Minister would then leave for the United States for a two-day visit at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.

Turkish President Erdogan to visit Pakistan

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Pakistan as part of a three-nation Asia tour.

The visit aims to boost ties with Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan, as per Daily Sabah.

His meetings will “focus on enhancing cooperation in various fields and hot topics on the global agenda, from the Israel-Hamas conflict to situation in Syria and Russia-Ukraine conflict.”

Inaugural meeting of the US House DOGE subcommittee

The Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) will hold its first hearing titled ‘The War on Waste: Stamping Out the Scourge of Improper Payments and Fraud’.

The inaugural meeting will be led by Subcommittee Chairwoman Majorie Taylor Greene.

Canadian PM Trudeau to hold talks with EU chiefs

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau will meet “European counterparts” to discuss security, Ukraine, and trade.

He will also meet with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte to “reaffirm” Canada’s commitment to NATO.

Maghi Purnima Snan at Kumbh

Maghi Purnima, the fifth of the six sacred bathing days of Maha Kumbh 2025, will take place on Wednesday.

Thousands of devotees are arriving in Prayagraj on the special occasion.

The local administration has declared the Maha Kumbh Mela a “no vehicle zone” for today.

SC hearing pleas against law dropping CJI from EC appointment panel

The Supreme Court will hear pleas against the law introduced by the Parliament, which excludes the Chief Justice of India (CJI) from the process of appointment of top officials of the Election Commission.

Third ODI India vs England

The final One Day International (ODI) match between India vs England will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today.

The live toss for the match will take place at 1 pm IST.
