The neighbouring country currently hosts 1.52 million registered Afghan refugees, around 800,000 Afghan citizens and many others without official status.

Banking rules to change
Several banking rule changes are going to come into effect from Tuesday, impacting account holders, credit card users, and UPI consumers across India.
With effect from April 1, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has mandate that banks, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and third-party UPI service providers like PhonePe, GPay, and Paytm take specific actions concerning numeric UPI IDs.
Credit card holders will also experience new changes to reward points and benefits.
The minimum balance requirements of banks such as SBI, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, and others are being revised, as per News18.
