Law enforcement officials in Pakistan’s twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been instructed to arrest and deport Afghan nationals involved in criminal activities, along with their families, from today.
The Pakistan government’s deadline for Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders to leave the country expired on Monday.
The neighbouring country currently hosts 1.52 million registered Afghan refugees, around 800,000 Afghan citizens and many others without official status.
US Trade report by federal agencies
The Trump administration’s trade, Commerce and Treasury chiefs are set to release a trade report after thoroughly reviewing the country’s trade policy.
US President Donald Trump after his inauguration had reportedly ordered federal agencies to report back to him on wide range of issues, such as the causes of the country’s annual trade deficits in goods, unlawful migration, unfair trade practices by other countries, changes to US export control systems in light of developments involving strategic adversaries and geopolitical risks and more.
Banking rules to change
Several banking rule changes are going to come into effect from Tuesday, impacting account holders, credit card users, and UPI consumers across India.
With effect from April 1, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has mandate that banks, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and third-party UPI service providers like PhonePe, GPay, and Paytm take specific actions concerning numeric UPI IDs.
Credit card holders will also experience new changes to reward points and benefits.
The minimum balance requirements of banks such as SBI, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, and others are being revised, as per News18.

SC to hear plea concerning 1991 Places of Worship Act
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Tuesday a plea challenging the validity of a provision of the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991, which mandates maintaining the religious character of a place as it existed on August 15, 1947.
As per the cause list of April 1, the plea is slated to come up for hearing before a bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar.
