Firstly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the G20 summit in South Africa. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump will meet New York mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani today.
Portugal’s President Marcelo Rebelo De Sousa visits Monaco. In India, the Supreme Court is set to hear a petition seeking the postponement of the special intensive revision (SIR). Meanwhile, the 74th Miss Universe Finale will take place today in Bangkok, Thailand.

Modi to attend G20 summit in South Africa
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Johannesburg from November 21 to attend the 20th G20 Leaders’ Summit hosted by South Africa. This will be the fourth consecutive G20 Summit held in the Global South.
At the Summit, PM Modi will put forth India’s perspectives on the G20 agenda. The three sessions of the Summit include “Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth Leaving No One Behind: Building our economies, the role of trade, financing for development and the debt burden”, “A Resilient World – the G20’s Contribution: Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change, Just Energy Transitions, Food Systems” and “A Fair and a Just Future for All: Critical Minerals; Decent Work; Artificial Intelligence”. He is expected to speak in all three sessions of the Summit, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
Trump to meet Mamdani
US president Donald Trump is set to meet New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani today at the White House. The meeting comes days after the two exchanged barbs during the campaign of the recently concluded NYC mayoral polls.
Announcing the meeting on his Truth Social account, Donald Trump said that Mamdani has asked for a meeting. “Communist Mayor of New York City, Zohran “Kwame” Mamdani, has asked for a meeting. We have agreed that this meeting will take place at the Oval Office on Friday, November 21st. Further details to follow!” Trump said on his Truth Social post on Wednesday.
The meeting carries a lot of weight because it marks their first encounter since Mamdani’s election. The fact that Mamdani, who is an immigrant with Indian roots, just pulled off a major victory in the New York mayoral race makes this an even more interesting and personal first meeting.

74th Miss Universe finale
The 74th Miss Universe final is scheduled to take place today at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret near Bangkok, Thailand. The theme for this year’s is “The Power of Love” and will see over 100 contestants from around the globe competing for the coveted crown.
The pageant will be live-streamed on the official Miss Universe YouTube channel and is also available on platforms like Peacock and Telemundo in select regions. More than 100 delegates are participating this year. A notable contestant is Manika Vishwakarma, representing India, who is aiming to become the fourth Indian woman to win the title.
