Mizoram assembly election results 2023 The counting of votes in Mizoram will take place today, a day after its original schedule, the Election Commission (EC) announced on Friday. The decision to change the date comes after protests were planned by the Mizoram NGO Coordination Committee (NGOCC), expressing displeasure with the 3 December counting date because it coincides with Sunday, a holy day for Christians. Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the session will have 15 sittings spread over 19 days. The government will present a bill to seek Parliament’s approval for adjustments to the Centre’s Rs 35 trillion spending programme in the current fiscal. The bill to replace the IPC, CrPC and the Evidence Act may also be taken up for consideration. Congress swearing in ceremony in Telangana The Telangana police has said that state Congress chief A Revanth Reddy has requested security arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for either 4 or 9 December. PM Modi in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg PM Modi will be attending the Navy Day celebrations at Sindhudurg today.
