Special session on Maratha reservation

A special session of the Maharashtra legislature on the Maratha community reservation is slated to be held today.

Maratha reservation campaigner Manoj Jarange-Patel, who is undertaking a fast-unto-death, said on Monday, his 10th day of hunger strike, that the community wants actual reservation and not mere assurances.

There’s a big challenge before the Maha Yuti government comprising the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP is to ensure that there is no dispute between the Maratha community and the Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
