Let us take a look at all that is planned for the day ahead.

US President Joe Biden to visit Germany

President Joe Biden will head to Berlin today after rescheduling a visit last week because of Hurricane Milton striking the US, informed the White House. It is believed that Biden will discuss Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with the leaders of Germany, France and Britain as Kyiv continues to urge its western allies to take urgent steps to end the fighting.

The rapidly expanding conflict in the Middle East is also expected to be high on the agenda in talks between the leaders as diplomatic efforts to halt the fighting have stalled, reported news agency Reuters.

Biden had originally been scheduled to convene a broader meeting of Ukraine’s military supporters at the U.S. Ramstein air base in Germany last week during a planned three-day state visit to the country that would have been the first in nearly 40 years. But it had to be cancelled to focus on dealing with the onslaught of and fallout from Hurricane Milton.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla to visit Australia

King Charles will travel to Australia and Samoa along with his wife Queen Camilla today to take his seat as the head of the Commonwealth. He will also highlight the existential threat that climate change poses for Pacific island nations, reported news agency AP.

This is a watershed moment for Charles, who is slowly returning to public duties after his being diagnosed with cancer in February this month. Charles’ globetrotting itinerary comes as he works to shore up support for the monarchy at home and abroad two years after ascending the throne.

AP noted that it will be  a challenge the king will face in Australia, a country with a strong anti-monarchy movement.
