The Andhra Pradesh High Court will hear Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu’s bail plea today in the skill development case . The former Andhra Pradesh chief minister is under judicial remand in the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison for allegedly misappropriating funds from the Skill Development Corporation, which resulted in a purported loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer.

Why are cabbies, auto drivers striking in Mumbai?

It’s the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate S Chandrasekhar

Nobel-winning astrophysicist and mathematician S Chandrasekhar was born in Lahore (then in India, now in Pakistan) on 19 October 1910. The Indian-American won the award in physics in 1983 “for his theoretical studies of the physical processes of importance to the structure and evolution of the stars” with William A Flower.
