A total of 699 candidates are in the fray for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections , which will be held in a single phase on Wednesday.
Around 1.56 crore voters will cast their ballots across 13,766 polling stations to elect representatives for 70 assembly seats. The results will be announced on Saturday, February 8.
The elections will see a three-way contest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Indian National Congress (INC).

Since the poll schedule was announced on January 7, key figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, and Congress’ Rahul Gandhi, have led intense campaigns in the capital.
The contest became heated, with the BJP attacking Kejriwal over corruption allegations, while AAP highlighted its accomplishments in education and healthcare.
Some of the key candidates in the Delhi Assembly elections include former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is contesting from the New Delhi seat against BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is up against Congress leader Alka Lamba and BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri in the Kalkaji constituency.

In their election manifestos, all parties have highlighted offering freebies, with each promising monthly amounts between Rs 2,100-2,500 for women, free healthcare for the aged, and free electricity.
