A 39-year-old British man, who was earlier called a ‘dangerous sexual predator’ in a separate case, staged a fake wedding with a nine-year-old girl at Disneyland Paris.

The man is facing several charges after what is believed to have been a social media stunt. He was previously found guilty of child sex offences in the UK, according to reports.

Police said he pretended to be a 22-year-old ‘groom’ and even hired professional make-up artists to change how he looked.

But who is this man? What happened during the fake wedding? What did the police say?

Let’s take a look:

Who is the 39-year-old paedophile?

The grand wedding set up between the 39-year-old man and a nine-year-old girl turned out to be a shocking $150,000 social media stunt at Disneyland Paris.

Around 300 guests and a string quartet were present at the event, which began around 5 am before the park opened to the public. It was only when staff noticed how young the ‘bride’ was that the true nature of the event came to light, according to BFMTV.

The man has been identified as Jaskarn ‘Jacky’ Jhaj. He was jailed in the UK in 2016 for four years after being convicted of four counts of sexual activity with two 15-year-old girls.

He reportedly tricked them into attending parties by pretending to be a Hollywood film producer and offering them alcohol.

Jhaj was arrested during the fake wedding. He is known for pulling off strange stunts in the past.

In one such incident last year, he arranged a fake funeral at the London Oratory in Knightsbridge, complete with an empty coffin and hired mourners.

He was also behind a staged red carpet event in 2023 at Leicester Square’s Odeon Luxe cinema. Around 90 children and many teenage extras were hired to act as fans while Jhaj, dressed in a red tuxedo, walked the red carpet pretending to be a film star.

Some child actors, as young as six, were dressed in school uniforms and told to act as though they had fainted.

After this fake film premiere, he was arrested on suspicion of breaking a sexual harm prevention order but was later released on bail.

In another stunt, also last year, Jhaj, who once bragged on camera about being labelled ‘a dangerous sexual predator’, was filmed walking naked in East London, while blowing up a fake police van. The explosion sent the van’s roof flying 50 feet into the air.

Footage has recently emerged showing the staged wedding between the man and the nine-year-old Ukrainian girl at the Disneyland resort near Paris.

According to Le Parisien, the young girl appeared “scared and confused” when she arrived at the park wearing a wedding dress and five-inch heels that had been “taped to her feet”.

Authorities said the British man was arrested along with a 24-year-old Latvian woman who was pretending to be the girl’s sister, the girl’s 41-year-old mother, and a 55-year-old Latvian man who was brought in to take part in the ceremony.

Investigators believe the group had shared an online advertisement ahead of the event, inviting people to join the staged wedding. Around 200 adults and 100 children, aged between five and fifteen, were reportedly hired.

Those attending were allegedly told they were being paid to take part in a luxury wedding rehearsal.

Prosecutors said the Ukrainian girl, who had only just arrived in France, was not physically harmed during the incident, The New York Post reported.

Disneyland Paris has said it is “fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation.”
