Jeffrey Epstein is one of the most infamous names in America. The disgraced millionaire was a serial sex offender who has been accused of sexual abuse by dozens of underage girls and charged with sex trafficking. He was known for associating with the rich and famous – politicians, celebrities, academics and billionaires. While he died by suicide on trial, those linked to him continue to be embroiled in controversy. Former US president Bill Clinton is among them. Hundreds of pages of documents from the lawsuit connected to
Jeffrey Epstein were publicly released on Wednesday. The material, some of which are yet to be unsealed, includes 200 names. The ones unsealed by the New York judge implicate two former presidents – Clinton and Donald Trump. The other names include British royal Prince Andrew, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, and Google co-founder Larry Page. And the revelations are shocking. The documents being unsealed are part of a 2015 lawsuit filed against Epstein’s former lover and accomplice
Ghislaine Maxwell by one of his victims, Virginia Giuffre. She is among the dozens of women who sued Epstein saying he had abused them at his homes in Florida, New York, the US Virgin Islands and New Mexico. former US president Bill Clinton has been referred to as Doe 36 in the court documents and is mentioned 50 times. The victim Virginia Giuffre has not accused Clinton. However, she claimed to have seen him with two young women on Epstein’s island. Clinton has denied ever visiting the island. But flight records reveal that he used Epstein’s plane for international trips after his presidency, visiting Paris, Bangkok and Brunei. Giuffre has in a document described Clinton’s connection with Epstein, calling it a ”close personal relationship”. [caption id=“attachment_13576542” align=“alignnone” width=“640”] According to a victim, Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein shared a ‘close personal relationship’. File photo/AP[/caption] Another victim, Johanna Sjoberg, said that the dead sex offender once said that the former president “likes them young”. “[Epstein] said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls,” she testified. Meanwhile, Clinton’s spokesperson Angel Urena said the politician and Epstein did not have a close personal relationship. He pointed to his 2019 statement, saying that the two had lost contact 20 years ago. “President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago or those which he has been recently charged in New York,” the statement read.

What are the accusations against Trump? Trump’s name has also come up in confessions by the survivors. Giuffre said the summer she turned 17, she was lured away from a job as a spa attendant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club to become a “masseuse” for Epstein. The job involved performing sexual acts. Prince Andrew is a controversial figure. The files include references to another victim Johanna Sjoberg, who has claimed that Andrew groped her breast while sitting on a couch inside Epstein’s Manhattan house in 2001. Buckingham Palace had previously said her allegations were “categorically untrue”. In another deposition, reported earlier, Sjoberg alleged that the British royal put his hand on her breast to pose for a photo with the other accuser Giuffre and a puppet that said “Prince Andrew” on it. “They put the puppet on Virginia’s lap, and I sat on Andrew’s lap, and they put the puppet’s hand on Virginia’s breast, and Andrew put his hand on my breast, and they took a photo,” she said of Ghislaine Maxwell and Epstein. In 2022, the British royal paid millions to Giuffre to settle a case she filed alleging he sexually abused her when she was 17. Prince Andrew said he had never met the girl and denied her allegations, reports the BBC. [caption id=“attachment_13576572” align=“alignnone” width=“640”]
Former US president Donald Trump and Britain’s Prince Andrew are among the high-profile names mentioned in the Epstein files. File photo/AP[/caption] How was Stephen Hawking involved? The newly released findings hint at the scientist’s involvement in an orgy involving minors. After Giuffre filed a civil claim in the US, Epstein reportedly asked Ghislaine Maxwell in an email to offer a reward to anyone who knew Giuffre and could discredit her allegations about Professor Stephen Hawking’s involvement in an “underage orgy”. [caption id=“attachment_13576642” align=“alignnone” width=“640”]
Physicist Stephen Hawking’s name has also been linked to the accused sex trafficker. File photo/Reuters[/caption] “You can issue a reward to any of Virginia’s friends, acquaintances, and family that come forward and help prove her allegations are false. The strongest is the Clinton dinner, and the new version in the Virgin Islands that Stephen Hawking participated in an underage orgy,” the email read, according to a report by Irish News. In 2015, photographs showing Hawking on Epstein’s private Caribbean island emerged. Hawking can be seen at a barbecue on Little St James and participating in a boat cruise and submarine tour. The Cambridge professor was one of 21 famous scientists attending a conference on gravity in March 2006, which was funded by Epstein. Who are the other names involved? Some other big names include pop star Michael Jackson, Google’s Larry Page, billionaire hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, Nobel laureate Lawrence Krauss, magician David Copperfield, comedian Chris Tucker, actor Kevin Spacey, and model Naomi Cambell. Many have been named for visiting Epstein’s island but allegations against some others are graver. In her lawsuit, Giuffre said that Maxwell had asked her to give Dubin a “massage”. She said, “And when they say massage, that means erotic, okay? That’s their term for it… I’m telling you that Ghislaine told me to go to Glenn Dubin and give him a massage, which means sex,” according to court documents released by Forbes. The US Virgin Islands government attempted to serve a subpoena to Page to obtain documents for its lawsuit against JPMorgan linked to Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking. This is not all… not yet. While this is the first batch of documents, more bombshell revelations can be expected as the rest of the material is unsealed. With inputs from agencies
