The first look of actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya-starrer Telugu action drama Yuddham Sharanam was unveiled on 2 July. Directed by debutant Krishna Marimuthu, the film also stars Lavanya Tripathi, Srikanth, Revathy and Rao Ramesh. Tipped to be a romantic thriller, the film is being bankrolled by Sai Korrapati under the banner Varahi Chalana Chitram. Naga Chaitanya was last seen on screen in Telugu romantic-drama Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam. If everything goes as planned, Yuddham Sharanam could be his second release of the year. In one of its early reports in February, IANS reported that Naga Chaitanya will soon be making his debut in Tamil films. He has reportedly been roped in by filmmaker Karthick Naren for his next film, titled Naragasooran. “Naga Chaitanya is on board. It’s going to be a dual hero subject and the team is in talks with Arvind Swami. Karthick had met Arvind recently but they are yet to officially announce anything,” IANS quoted a source as saying. It will be the actor’s first full-length feature film in Tamil. He had previously done a small cameo in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s 2010 Tamil romantic drama Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.
