The makers of ‘Yes Papa’ today unveiled the trailer of their upcoming film that revolves around the subject of child abuse. Directed by Saif Hyder Hasan, it stars national award winner and veteran artist Ananth Mahadevan and Geetika Tyagi in the lead with Divya Seth Shah, Sanjeev Tyagi, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Nandita Puri and others, in pivotal roles. The film delves into the life of a daughter who becomes a victim of abuse at a young age, perpetrated by her own father.
The trailer portrays the haunting presence of Ananth Mahadevan’s character looming over his daughter, who eventually finds herself on trial for his murder. It raises poignant questions, including whether one can discern the scars of deep-seated trauma by looking into the victim’s eyes and soul when evidence is lacking.
Swati Maliwal, former Chairman Delhi Commission of Women and currently Rajya Sabha Member said “Yes Papa starring national awardees Ananth Mahadevan and Geetika Tyagi asks very important questions in an engaging and sensitive manner. Urge all to watch.” ‘Yes Papa’ was also screened at the National Human Rights Commission India and garnered huge applause from the audience present.
Leading figures in the film industry have lauded the director and the film for bravely addressing a dark and pervasive evil that often remains unspoken in society. Jackie Shroff extended his best wishes to Director Saif Hyder Hasan and said “Saif, best wishes for 29th March release of your film Yes Papa. Very sensitive film. I’m waiting for you to direct me. All my affections, respect!”

It’s a role that challenged me, but more importantly, it’s a story that needs to be told to protect our children.”
