Will Eega make the ‘Oscar’ race?

Tollywood hit Eega is among 18 other films that the Film Federation of India will be choosing as India's official entry to the Oscars.

The trilingual film Eega, where a house fly plays the protagonist's role is in the race for the Oscars already.

The Telegu film is one of the 18 movies to be short listed as India's nominations for entry in the foreign film category at next year's Oscars.

The other entries include Bollywood hits like Kahaani and Barfi! Director SS Rajamouli's innovative and technical brilliance have already rocked the box office, now lets see if it makes it to the Oscar race.

Eega is the only Telugu film on the list. In the film, a house fly plays the protagonist's role, while Kannada actor Sudeep plays the antagonist, who kills a young man who falls for the same girl as him.

Later, the dead man is reincarnated as a house fly to torment his killer.
