Will Alia Bhatt replace Deepika Padukone in 'Kalki 2898 AD' sequel after her exit?

Deepika Padukone’s ousting from Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan starrer Kalki 2898 AD sequel turned out to be a shocking news not only for her fans but also for the entertainment industry. Now, the actress has addressed her exit and confirmed King with Shah Rukh Khan by a sharing a picture showing their hands clasped together.

The actress captioned the picture, “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together? #king #day1 @iamsrk @s1danand.”

Replacing Deepika Padukone could be Alia Bhatt as per a report by Lets Cinema. No confirmation has been made on the development yet.

What Kalki makers said about Deepika

Vyjayanthi Movies confirmed the news of Deepika’s exit on X as the statement, read, “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future projects."

The sequel to Kalki 2898 AD features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in prominent roles.

The  _Piku_ actress told CNBC TV-18, “I have done this a many levels, this is not new to me I think even as pay is concerned you know I have had to deal with with whatever comes with you know I don’t I don’t even know what to call it but I am someone who always fought my battles silently and for some strange reasons sometimes they become public which is not the way I know and not the way I’ve been brought up but yes to fight my battles and to do it silently and in a dignified way is the way I know.”
