Aamir Khan’s plate is full. The actor who usually restricts himself to one film a year (and sometimes not even that) is presently shuttling between the shoots of his two upcoming films — YRF’s Dhoom:3 and Rajkumar Hirani’s Peekay. And that’s not all. Hindustan Times
reported that Khan is also planning his second directorial venture. While Khan was unavailable for comment (he is currently in Australia taking dance lessons) and his spokesperson refused to talk about Khan’s plans, rumour has it that the actor is working out a new project although he has been very tight-lipped about it. Interestingly, Khan has not signed on for any more acting assignments after Peekay, _e_xcept for the second season of his tv show, Satyamev Jayate. Reuters[/caption] According to an industry insider who spoke to Hindustan Times, work is already underway although Khan hasn’t shared any details with even his own staff. Apparently a female scriptwriter’s script has already been selected by Khan and he has had several meetings with her already. “It’s an unusual film, but it’s still in the mainstream space,” the insider disclosed. _"_He has started work on it, but his focus right now is only on Dhoom:3…". The actor first donned the director’s hat for the 2007 drama, Taare Zameen Paar. The film about a dyslexic boy who cannot perform well academically won audiences hearts as well as critical appreciation. There was some controversy surrounding Taare Zameen Par when writer Amol Gupte claimed he had
actually directed the film
. Ultimately, however, the film is remembered not for the scandal, but because it brought to light several pertinent issues regarding the Indian education system and for the first time, a mainstream Bollywood spoke about the problems of dyslexic kids.
