Based on Maria Semple’s 2012 novel, Where’d You Go, Bernadette starts its narrative with Blanchett's cryptic statement, “Something unexpected has come up. It has much more explanation coming, but I have this one shot.”
The story is brought to audiences through Nelson's investigation of Blanchett's documents such as emails, memos, and transcripts. Kristen Wiig, Judy Greer, Billy Crudup, Troian Bellisario, and Laurence Fishburne feature in Where’d You Go, Bernadette.
Blanchett was most recently seen in the all-female cast in Ocean’s 8 and The House with a Clock in Its Walls where she shared screen space with Jack Black.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette is scheduled to hit the theaters 22 March. Watch the trailer here.
