What Jawan director said when asked to choose between Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay

Ever since the phenomenal success of Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller Jawan, movie buffs are excited to see what Atlee has in store for them next. Speaking during the recently held India Today Conclave, the director talked about one of his most frequent heroes Thalapathy Vijay and Jawan star Shah Rukh Khan. When asked about choosing between the two actors for his next, Atlee said that he would like to cast both of them. He revealed, “One is like my wife and the other like my mother. I can’t leave them behind, and I have to live with both of them."

Atlee Talks About Thalapathy Vijay And Shah Rukh Khan Atlee was further quoted as saying that whatever he is today, it is all thanks to Thalapathy Vijay. He added that the actor is responsible for providing him with back-to-back films. The filmmaker said, “Of course, I have delivered hits to him. But he really trusted me.” Atlee further revealed that there are so many directors who would have said yes to doing a movie after just receiving a call from Shah Rukh Khan, but King Khan decided to trust him and till now he is unable to understand the reason behind this trust. He disclosed that it was SRK’s trust that made him do Jawan with utmost responsibility and love. Atlee revealed that the journey for Jawan began back in 2019 after Shah Rukh Khan visited him in Chennai and they had a short chat in his office. Atlee also recalled that on his way back, King Khan asked him to watch an IPL match. The director told SRK that if they went together some pictures of them would surely surface on the news. To this, the Don actor said that as they were working together now, people might as well know. As anticipated by Atlee, a picture of the actor and director duo circulated on social media.
