The 69th edition of one of the biggest award ceremonies in Bollywood, the Filmfare Awards 2024 was held on Sunday, 28 January. Actors, directors, producers, and many other celebrities from the industry were seen gracing the star-studded event that was held across two days in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar. While a lot of high-performing films and actors bagged some major awards at the ceremony, celebrities were also seen setting the stage on fire with their electrifying performances. One such performance was delivered by the young and dynamic Varun Dhawan Impressing the audience with his captivating performance, Varun was also seen paying homage to his father, senior director David Dhawan by dancing to some iconic songs from his films like Judwaa, Coolie No 1, and Haseena Maan Jayegi. Varun Dhawan , Karisma Kapoor’s electrifying performance at the Filmfare The Bhediya actor was seen dancing to songs like Main toh raste se jaa raha tha, Soni de nakre, What is mobile number, and many others. Later, he was also joined by the ever-beautiful and charming Karisma Kapoor on the stage, which added a layer of nostalgia and charisma to the performance.
Varun and Karishma danced to the popular song ‘What is mobile number’ from David Dhawan’s 1999 film Haseena Maan Jayegi, leaving the audience excited. Later, the two also matched their steps on another of Karisma’s evergreen songs ‘Tan Tana Tan’ from David Dhawan’s iconic film ‘Judwaa’. Videos of the duo’s performance from the 69th Filmfare Awards are going viral on social media, showing fans pretty impressed by their chemistry. Apart from Varun, the evening also witnessed stellar performances from stars like Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan, among others. While the curtain raiser event was held on Sunday, it set the tone for the main award show on Sunday. The Filmfare Awards 2024 was hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana and Karan Johar. On the work front Last seen in the Amazon Prime Video film Bawaal, Varun Dhawan presently has Citadel 2 and an Atlee action film in the pipeline.
